Orange Island

Ash shrieked, "What do you mean Beedrill is pregnant? She was not yesterday."

Nurse Joy sweatdropped at the freak out, "It's like I said she's pregnant."

Beedrill was looking bashfully between Ash and Nurse Joy, "Bzzzz."

Ash looked at her in disbelief, "Are you saying you didn't realize it either?"

Beedrill nodded, "Bz!"

Nurse Joy gave Ash understanding smile, "Do not worry, nothing happened to the egg."

Ash groaned, "It's not just that. If I had known she was pregnant I would not have let her battle today. I would have used either Butterfree or Pidgeot."

Nurse Joy, "Well things happen, now all your Pokemon have been healed, they are simply exhausted and require rest. So no training or doing anything stressful."

Nurse Joy turned to Beedrill with a sickening sweet smile, "Especially you young lady."

Beedrill nodded a little freaked out, "Bzzzz!"

Lucario snorted, -We will make sure she rests.-

Milotic trilled amused, -Yes.-

Nurse Joy left nodding, "You have visitors."

Ash, "Hey guys."

Misty, "Congratulations Ash."

Chloe, "You are a Champion."

Melody hugged Ash, "You were awesome."

Gou hugged him next, "My best friend is a Champion."

Silver ruffled his hair, "Well done, baby brother."

Tracey pat his shoulder, "We are all proud of you."

Ash grinned, "It was all thanks to teamwork, right guys." Ash's Pokemon roared in agreement, "I can't believe I won."

Drake, "Well believe it Champion. Although you gave everyone a fright when you suddenly ran off."

Red, "Congratulations on joining us Champions, Ash and I agree with Drake, we were worried something happened."

Ash, "I just felt I had to and for good reason."

Lance, "Congratulations kid and what reason?"

Ash, "Turns out my Beedrill is pregnant with another kid."

Melody brightened looking at Beedrill and Butterfree cuddling, "Really?"

Ash nodded, "Mn, gave me a fright, she didn't even realize she was pregnant either."

Misty, "Huh! Things happen."

Tracey coughed, "Yeah."

Drake, "We still have a trophy ceremony to hold and a registration to do."

Ash looked at his Pokemon, "Can we do it a little later?"

Lance, "We announced it'll be done tonight, and at the same time we'll have a celebratory feast. Speaking of I better go and set things up."

Red, "Well, that's one thing handled, I hope you are ready for the end of the week."

They all groaned remembering the PR stunt they would have to pull off out of their asses at the end of the week. After spending an hour or so Red left them followed by Tracey and Silver who volunteered to help out with the management and security. Silver didn't want Ash's day or rather night to be ruined by someone or another, especially Team Rocket, who had the worst timing in the world. Ash spent time talking to Misty, Chloe, Gou and Melody before going to give his Pokemon a relaxing massage.

Ash started with Venasaur taking extra care to be gentle around the parts that were burned and still tender. Next was Milotic whom he gave a good scrub down along with a massage with her favourite water lily oil. Third was Charizard who rumbled content on feeling his muscles relax after it had been strained in the battle. Fourth was Togekiss with whom Ash had a heart to heart talk while getting him to relax and reminding him that he unlike his ex trainer was a Champion Pokemon now. Fifth was Beedrill who Ash paid extra attention to making sure her egg which was still forming inside her was alright. Butterfree buzzed around her making sure she was comfortable after that, he had gotten a fright as well when he found out. Last was Lucario on whom Ash spent the longest time in relaxing the pent up and strained muscles before using aura to heal.

Lucario, -That feels much better Meema.-

Ash, "I'm glad, hey let's keep this move for the finals only. I don't like the damage you get from it."

Lucario, -Nothing Nurse Joy can't fix.-

Ash, "Perhaps but let's avoid being dependent on it. It's not exactly safe."

Lucario, -Dire need.-

Ash, "Mnn only during dire need."

Milotic, -I think it was impressive but yes the after effects do look painful.-

Lucario, -They are.-

As night fell everyone had gathered again at the stadium and Ash stood on stage with all his six Pokemon by his sides. The President of the League, Mr Goodshow was giving a speech about talent, working together and the bond between Pokemon and human. Ash was not paying attention, instead he was smiling proudly at his Pokemon who grinned back at him especially Togekiss. It had been hard trying to get his Pokemon who were previously abandoned to believe in themselves again. But Ash believes he was and is making progress and considering how proudly Charizard, Venasaur and Togekiss were standing together he knew he was doing okay.

Mr Goodshow, "Now I shall ask Drake to present Ash with the Champion's trophy and cloak."

Ash stepped forward as Drake first helped him put on the fancy looking cloak. Ash noticed it had the symbol of Lugia and map of the Orange Archipelago on the back. The shoulders of the cloak on both sides had replicas of the four badges on it.

Milotic whispered to Lucario, -Hey, do you think they gave Ash a cloak after seeing your aura cloak?-

Lucario, -Perhaps.-

The two guest Champions and the Orange Island gym Leaders clapped followed by a cheer from the crowd. There were reporters who were taking pictures and asking for an interview from the new Champion. Ash smiled as he stood beside Drake remembering a certain penguin going, 'Smile and Wave boys, Smile and Wave', which almost made him snort.

Ash, "I'll answer only three questions also if I don't want to answer I won't. So make sure your questions are actually worth the three chances."

First Interviewer, "How does it feel to be a Champion?"

Ash, "It feels unreal, like a dream. But also real because I'm dreading the paperwork, come morning.", that got a few chuckles.

Second interviewer, "Is it true you will be taking part in the Kanto League as well as Kanto Grand Festival?"

Ash smiled taking a box from Lucario and opening it, "Yes, yes I am. Here is the proof."

A lot of cameras flashed taking pictures of the ribbons and badges he had collected through out Kanto. Ash gave a mental sigh although he kept smiling outward, when Red had warned him it was gonna be a large PR stunt, he didn't expect it so soon. After a while he put the two boxes back and answered the third question which would be the last one.

Third interviewer, "What is your plan for the League and the Festival?"

Ash put a finger on his lips, "Now that would be telling. All you need to know is that my team and I are going to do our best and you'll be seeing my other Pokemon in action."

Drake, "Okay then, we need to settle some paperwork which is very important now that you are officially a Champion. Thank you for coming everyone please enjoy the celebrations."

Drake led Ash and his Pokemon team away from the crowd inside the arena into the trophy room, "I believe, I promised to show you our treasure."

Ash's eyes brightened, "Yes! What about the paperwork?"

Drake opened a door leading into a large hallway, "Can be completed on the way. Now let me welcome you to the oldest hall for Champions."

Ash looked around with bright eyes, "So many Champions. Is that.... Are those... Aura Guardians?"

Drake nodded, "A long time ago before the war started, Aura Guardians came here from far and wide to prove themselves."

Ash, "Oh! Ummm... Are you one?"

Drake smiled and held out his hand which turned blue with green tints, "Have a look."

Milotic gasped, -What type? Ash has not found out his type yet.-

Drake, "Dragon."

Lucario, -Suits you.-

Drake, "On that note allow me to congratulate you young Aura Guardian."

Ash, "Me?"

Drake nodded, "Come here, fill up this forms and we will get started."

Ash took the papers, "These are citizenship forms... Of course becoming a Champion grants you a chance to become a Citizen. This is apprenticeship form for Aura Guardians..."

Drake nodded and helped Ash fill out the papers, Red came in to fill in as his legal Guardian contact. Ash blinked then shrugged accepting it, his mom probably decided Red could help him out better anyway.

Red, "You told him?"

Drake, "Showed him too."

Red, "Thank you for agreeing to help Ash."

Drake, "Don't thank me for this, in fact Ash."

Ash, "Yeah?"

Drake, "I heard you want to travel to other regions so go ahead and travel. I can take care of the paperwork for the first five years."

Ash smiled in relief, "Thank you. I don't mind doing some though."

Drake, "Don't mention it, and we'll see. Now let's get a memorandum done and your picture taken for the hall of fame. You can join your friends for dinner after that."

Ash joined the others after he and his Pokemon made the memorandum and posed for a picture. Everyone on the island had come to the feast to celebrate his win and congratulate him. Thankfully neither he nor his Pokemon were bothered by the reporters or people who wanted to buy his Pokemon like back in the hotel.

Misty, "That's because this is a private floor, there are many floors."

Gou nodded, "Yeah, have a look. We are at the top."

Melody, "It's kinda cool."

Chloe, "You might want to answer the chat Ash, it's buzzing."

Kiawe, :Congratulations Ash! I look forward to battling you as well.:

Lillie, :Congratulations, my sweet Beedrill love the battle and we are pumped up to become strong.:

Sophocles, :Congratulations Ash. I hope you come to Alola soon.:

Mallow, :Congratulations Ash! When you come to Alola we are having a party.:

Lana, :Congratulations Ash, like Kiawe I want to battle you as well.:

Gladion, :Congratulations, I guess you are very interesting.:

Ash, :Thank you guys. I'll be there as soon as the League and Festival are done.:

Gary, :I'm not gonna go easy on you during the League.:

Drew, :Neither will I during the contest.:

The night was spent eating, having fun and chatting online with his friends, read nagging them to sleep on time. Misty and the others snorted at that and joined Ash on it forcing their Alolan and Kalosian friends to go to sleep. This promoted them to request Ash to sing for them getting a deadpan expression from the dark haired boy.

Gou, "Come on Ash. Just one song."

Ash, "Fine but just one."

Ash decided to sing one of the songs he had already sang for the group which was, "You'll be in my heart", getting a coo from Charizard who heard it. It was followed by another, "A dream is a wish", then it was, "Happy", which was followed by Milotic performing fairy lore. Ash then performed, "Glassy sky", which he had just started to sing a few days ago. In the end, Ash decided to conclude with the last song, "Hall of Fame", which was very fitting in a way. Their friends in the chat squealed and thanked him before going offline to sleep.

At the end of the week came the much dreaded PR stunt when they had to act sad and mourning over their disguises. The funeral went smoothly with no one causing trouble luckily enough. They had gone to Hamlin island which had a port that connected directly to Pallet town port. The town was pretty famous for its high population of electric type Pokemon but instead of checking it out they were attending a funeral.

Lucario scowled and grumbled, -I hate this, this is ridiculous.-

Cinderace hissed, "Ace cinder."

Lucario nodded, -Indeed.-

Milotic, -Team Rocket causes nothing but trouble.-

Tracey, Silver, Gou, Chloe and Misty sweat dropped at the colourful cursing that was coming from the three normally calm and sweet Pokemon. They said farewell to the disguises Ash, Melody and Gou had used against Team Rocket before saying farewell and headed back to mainland Kanto. Melody got off at the port which led to Shamoutii island where she was greeted by her family and her grandpa gave her a Pidgey as her starter. Melody was surprised before she grinned, she had travelled on Ash's Pidgeot and she had adored the gentle yet powerful Pokemon. She looked forward to having her own Pidgeot in the future and messaged in the chat about her first Pokemon getting congratulations from her friends.
