Jhoto - Mt Silver

Ash explained what happened to the rest of the gang, "So, that's what happened."

Max, "So Mew approached you."

Ash, "Yes."

Gou, "Mew confirmed the Legendary Pokemon were intentionally approaching you."

Ash, "Kinda, I guess?"

Brock, "Then Mew left a poke egg with you for whatever reason."

Ash nodded, "Un."

Max, "Ash, only you."

Ash, "I think I can honestly say I was at a loss for words myself."

Gou, "I mean it's Mew. The Legendary that was considered a myth and possibly extinct as well."

Ash, 'Technically I knew Mew existed. And we met them back in New Island but no one else remembers. I am not inclined to make anyone else aside from Brock and Misty to remember either.'

Brock, "And it seems Mew figured out you have a soft spot for baby Pokemon."

Ash sighed, "It could be worse I suppose."

Max, "Did mew say what Pokemon it was?"

Ash, "Nope, he just dumped and ran with no explanation whatsoever. I had to calm my Pokemon down too."

Lucario snarled, -Nothing good comes from those Legendaries putting their snouts where it does not belong.-

Lokoko nodded warily, -Your partners have told me enough to understand getting involved with the High Lords mean nothing but trouble.-

Meowth, "Not ta forget, if Team Rocket, especially Gonzalez figures out dat Mew left ya wit an egg. He wil no doubt become more fanatical about making you his heir. He will do it either through brain washing or through blackmail."

Brock nodded looking furious, "I would not put it past that man. He already attempted to blackmail Ash."

Ash held the poke egg closer, "He will not succeed. No matter what."

Max, "Ash, you better not be thinking about sacrificing yourself."

Ash, "Of course not. That will leave my little ones vulnerable to his manipulations. I will never allow that to happen."

Gou sat next to him, "Good! Now, I believe the rest of the girls and boys will join us next week just before the pre -elimination rounds start. We can tell them what is happening then, for now focus on training."

Ash, "Thank you. Yeah, I will focus on training my Pokemon. Lapras is excited about the first battle round. Water and rock."

Max, "You already got the line up?"

Ash nodded, "Yes, I guess they want everything to go smoothly so the line up has already been supplied."

Brock, "That's one less thing for us to worry about then."

A few days later Gary and Green both were at the Mt Silver village getting registered for the Silver Conference. To say they were very much flabbergasted by what happened between Mew and Ash while the dark haired teen sighed. Green was taking part in the tournament as part of a Ranger mission and according to her, someone was reported for using drugs. That got deadpanned looks from all of them, it seems some people never learned their lesson. Green shrugged and agreed some people were just really hopeless and never learned and now it was her job to deal with them.

Ash, "You know you can talk with Casey about this. I can't help as I am taking part as a normal participant."

Green, "Not a bad idea."

Brock, "I can help keep an eye out too."

Green, "That would be most helpful. You would probably be able to catch them when they go for their check ups."

Brock nodded, "Exactly."

Gary looked at Ash, "Aside from all that, Ash."

Ash, "Yeah?"

Gary, "What are your plans?"

Ash, "For the egg? Or in general?"

Gary, "The egg first."

Ash, "I will raise them. They were given to me after all."

Tyrantrum, "Rannnnn."

Ash smiled, "My babies will also help me."

Gary, "If you need any help just ask. I have lately been studying and researching about ancient Pokemon."

Gou, "Researching?"

Gary, "Yeah, I have always been fascinated by ancient Pokemon and meeting your Tyrantrum just enforced the interest."

Ash smiled, "Hear that baby? Your Uncle Gary is now interested in learning more about you."

Tyrantrum cooed nuzzling Gary, "Rannnnn."

Gary, "You know I can't wait to battle you. I am going to get so much data just by battling."

Ash grinned, "And we will give you our best right buddy?"

Tyrantrum roared with a wagging tail while the others grinned, the excited energy coming from the ancient dragon was very infectious. Misty and the other girls arrived a day before Ash's first match and entered along side Casey's who they met while they were heading to Mt Silver. To say the girls were left just as speechless by what Mew had done was an understatement. Ash gave them an understanding look and Misty grabbed him and Brock to call Lance and Lorelei to talk. Casey felt pity for them, she really did and decided if they needed anything she would do her best to help them out.

Serena sighed, "Being an Aura user is not easy is it?"

Melody, "Speak for yourself. I think I have dealt with the trio enough to last at least four generations."

Chloe, "How have you guys been?"

Gou, "We are okay and helping Brock and Ash deal with stuff somehow."

Max, "Now that Casey is an official Elite, she will no doubt have to deal with more stuff going forward."

Serena looked around for the girl, "She has already gone off for her job, hasn't she?"

Chloe, "Brock too. You know something guys, I have decided."

Melody, "Decided what?"

Chloe, "I want to become a healer. I have taken over the care of our group anyway."

Serena, "Healer Chloe, it has a nice ring to it."

Melody grinned, "Yeah, and many of your Pokemon actually learned healing tricks and techniques too."

Chloe, "Exactly and heaven knows Brock could use a back up when it comes to the craziness that is our lives."

Max, "Hear, hear!"

The next day it was time for the tournament to start and Gary was battling against Trepan from Unova. Gary won against the teen who only sighed and nodded at the brunette who just waved. Haxorus looked stronger than before and Tyrantrum was very excited about his match up against Haxorus in the future. Green on the other hand was matches against Sylvia from Kanto and to say Green won it with a land slide was an understatement. She was here for business indeed and not messing around at all, Ash could not help but whistle impressed by her poweress. He was next against a trainer called Macy, the name sounded familiar somehow.

Ash, "Shall we?"

Phantump, "Phaaaa."

Referee, "Welcome to the rock and water field. Choose your first Pokemon."

Macy, "Let's go Slugma."

Ash, "Go Lapras."

Referee, "Begin!"

Macy, "Flamethrower!"

Ash, "Dive and use rain dance."

Macy watched Slugma as he attacked the ice type who dived in and started to dance underwater of all places. The Lapras was definitely a very skilled Pokemon and caused rain on top of the water surface making Slugma back off hissing. Macy called Slugma and called for Electabuzz instead which prompted Ash to stop holding back and grin. Ash called for mist which Lapras used to cover the whole arena in a thick mist that was an eyesore under the glaring sun. Macy looked around frustrated she could not see Electabuzz properly except for a faint outline in front of her.

Macy, "Electabuzz use thunder wave."

Ash, "Take cover behind one of the rock pillars, Lapras."

Macy, "I can't see at all. Well, we are not going down easily. Oh! I know use rain dance to wash this eyesore mist away."

Ash smirked, "Icy wind."

Electabuzz started to use rain dance to get rid of the mist hanging on top of them and Lapras started to use the move sheer cold making the temperature drop. Electabuzz growled under his breath as he could feel the cold enter his bones and realized the Lapras had learned how to manipulate nature. Or to be more specific, that little male had learned to manipulate the temperature to his own advantage which was problematic for him as he did not learn terrain manipulation. Macy's voice was very faint over the cold that was now starting to cover him and looking in front he saw the Lapras who used ice beam on him. After that the mist cleared away completely leaving a smug looking Lapras and a frozen glaring Electabuzz.

Referee, "Countdown has started, ten, nine, "

Macy, "Electabuzz, come on!"

Referee, "Eight, seven, "

Gou murmured watching the screen attached to the cameras, "Lapras did not hold back at all."

Lance smirked from beside him, "Lorelei would be impressed."

Referee, "Six, five, "

Misty, "That's right type advantage can only take you so far."

Serena, "That was awesome Lapras."

Melody, "Great job!"

Referee, "Four, three, "

Brock, "They did really well."

Chloe, "Agreed!"

Referee, "Two, one. Round one goes to the red box. Green box, choose your next Pokemon."

Macy, "Return Electabuzz. Thank you for your help buddy. You are definitely living up to your fame of being unpredictable."

Ash, "That is all my Pokemon. They are the ones battling, not us humans."

Macy blinked then laughed, "I can't argue with that."

Ash, "Lapras, you good to keep going?"

Lapras, "Rasssss."

Macy, "Let's go Slugma."

Referee, "Begin!"

Macy, "Sunny day!"

Ash, "Interesting but two can play that game, rain dance again."

This time Lapras started dancing on top of the water surface and the rain and sunny day combined to create a rainbow. Slugma scowled at his enemy as Lapras smirked at the fire type slug and taunted him to attack anytime he was ready. Slugma was furious and shot the water and ice Pokemon with flame thrower but Lapras dived into the water to dodged the attack. Macy called for Slugma to calm down and called for sandstorm, she was planning on filling the water with sand. Though it would take a long time to do so and Ash called for water gun against the Slugma, they were not going to be cornered that easily.

Ash, "Waterfall Lapras, let's end this."

Macy, "Slugma overheat. Come on! We are not going down that easily."

Green watched the battle, 'He is enjoying the fight.'

Hypno, -Green, found one.-

Green, 'One of our targets?'

Hypno, -Yes, a boy from Bachiko town South of Olivine City.-

Green, 'Let's go get them. I have no doubt Ash got this in the bag.'

Hypno, -You trust him that much?-

Green, 'Yes, I do.'

Green followed Hypno all the way outside to the outer parts of the tournament walls and she ran across the road. They were coming up across a forested area and Green's eye twitched feeling annoyed at the cliched area they had chosen. Hypno signaled at her and they stopped while Hypno used his psychic abilities to pick them both up and place them on the branch right above their target. Their target was on the phone talking to someone else and using a quick mind read, Hypno could discern a few things. The target was berating whoever was on the other side about how the solution did not work and how he lost to his opponent.

Green, 'He put the phone away.'

Hypno, -Now?-

Green, 'Butterfree sleep powder.'

Butterfree flew above them, 'You got it.'

Green watched as their target got sleepy and then leaned against the tree falling asleep, "Good job, girls. Let's check where the call went. Porygon, can you trace it?"

Porygon produced a chat, -No problem, just place this phone above that one.-

Green placed her phone above the target's phone murmuring, "Be careful not to get caught little love."

Porygon gave a thumbs up emoji as he started to trace the earlier call while Green called for the Nurse Jim who was working on this case with her. Nurse Jim took the Pokemon while Blissey carried the sleeping trainer, now he would be an ex - trainer after this incident. Porygon meanwhile found the other target all the way to Unova of all places making Green frown. She would have to report this to international police if that was the case and she was not really fond of getting them involved. Green sighed as she thought about the paperwork she would have to fulfill while the audience cheers could be heard.

Green, "Ash won. I knew he was training a monster in that Lapras but man that is quiet the statement to make."

Hypno, -Rumor has it he was training his Pokemon to become Alpha Pokemon.-

Green, "Those rumours were not exaggerated."
