Chapter 8: End Of Prologue

How time sure flies.

Before I knew it five years passed and I am now fifteen years old.

The age where I am eligible to go out and start my pokemon journey as a pokemon trainer.

Not to mention I am now a legalized adult in the eyes of the pokemon world.

Meaning I can drink, gamble, own my own property, and have sex without anyone telling me otherwise.

Which feels great.

So, let me give you a brief summary of what's happened over the last five years.

First off, I obtained a third pokemon.

It was shortly after my twelfth birthday.

I had no idea until then but apparently Drayden's Haxorus, which is female, is mated to his Hydregion and they have been for many years.

At to how I came by this information....

To put it simply I walked in on the two of them going at it.

...

Yeah.

That is something I will never be able to unsee.

So most of the time I try not to think about it as much as possible and lock that particular memory up in the dark depths of the back of my mind, lest I go crazy.

Which thankfully I haven't.

But back to my point.

Long story short, the two of them produced an egg.

Which Drayden told me had only happened two other times since he became their trainer.

Once Haxorus popped out the bun in her oven, gramps decided to give the egg to me.

Which through me for a loop.

Though I accepted it nonetheless.

Which is how I obtained my third pokemon.

Secondly, Drayden and I continued to deepen our familial bond.

Eventually he even shared information with me about my parents in this world.

My mother his daughter was named Dalia, while my father from what he was able to find out, was named Eli who was originally a ranger from the Johto region in Indigo. A place I will definitely visit one day.

Drayden informed me the two of them were dead.

(A/N: I want to be clear, the MC's parents are dead and gone. No miraculous and tearful reunion. Sorry)

I actually cried at that.

Since even though I wasn't there original son I still had some of his thoughts and feelings lingering inside of me which bubbled to the surface upon learning this.

But that was fine with me.

Better to get it out than hold it in.

There's no shame in a man crying and showing his emotions after all. No matter what anyone says.

Finally, Gareth and I became good friends.

It safe to call him my best friend.

Although he would never admit it, since he's such a giant tsundere.

He's also taken to calling me his eternal rival.

Any chance he could get he challenged me to a pokemon battle.

But I had no problem with that. Since it helped me grow, and him as well.

Other than that nothing much else of significance happened.

Except I did learn that both mega evolution and dynamax are already things in this world.

I also learned that only the first eight regions exist here, and that the Paldea region that came out shortly before I died in my last life is nowhere to be found.

But that's fine. Since I didn't really know that region well at all.

Oh and one more thing. Apparently pokemon trainers in this world aren't limited to carrying only six pokemon at a time. They can carry as many as they want on them with no issues.

A fact I certainly loved when I find it out.

Moving on.

The time has come for me to begin my pokemon journey.

My legend starts now.

----------------------------------------------

Sitting in my room I once again checked my bag to make sure I had everything.

"Toothbrush and toiletries, check. Clothes, check. Extra pokeballs, check. Tent, check. Pokemon food, check." I said. I then nodded to myself and zipped up my bag, slinging it over my shoulders after I did so.

By the way, my bag isn't that big and its not that heavy either.

Despite everything inside of it.

After living here for years I've come to learn that technology in the pokemon world is a strange thing.

The pokeball for instance uses advance spatial and weight manipulation technology. That's how those tiny balls can contain such large pokemon along the likes of Steelix, Aggron, Slaking, etc.

This type of technology has been applied for various other uses in the pokemon world, like into equipment such as backpacks and the like.

One which I just happened to own.

Now I understand how Ash and his friends could carry cooking supplies, sleeping bags, and all their other belongings during their adventurers with ease without getting any back or spine problems.

Once more, the pokemon world is incredible.

When I was done making sure my bag and belongings were secure I headed over to stand in front of the mirror to make sure I was presentable.

Giving myself a once more I nodded.

My appearance looks good.

And not to brag or sound vain or anything but I am quite handsome if I do say so.

I stand at 178 cm, have a lithe but firm body build, have steel grey eyes, and have beautiful stark white hair. Which I have taken to keeping in a singular braid that I chose to rest on either one of my shoulders.

Which is a bit ironic, considering I hated having long hair in my last life. But for some reason here in this world I don't see a problem having it.

Time changes all I guess.

Moving away from the mirror I grabbed my bag and left my room.

I then headed downstairs and out into the backyard.

Where my team was waiting for me.

Looking at the three of them I couldn't feel prouder to have them by my side.

Especially since all of them have undergone evolution during our years of waiting to begin our journey.

Ladon is now a Salamence.

Dratini is now a full-blown Dragonite.

Meanwhile the egg I got from Drayden hatched into a very healthy Axew, which is currently a Fraxure. But only because he had less training time than the others.

Though I don't think it will be too long before he reaches his final evolution and becomes a Haxorus just like his mama.

All of them turned to me, smiles on their faces.

"Alright guys. Today is the day. Are you ready?" I asked them.

"Salamence!" Ladon cried out.

"Dragonite!" Dragonite bellowed.

"Fraxure." Fraxure simply mused. Since likes to play the strong silent-type most of the time.

"Well then, let's go." I said.

I then returned both Dragonite and Fraxure to their pokeball's.

Once I did so I walked over to Ladon and hopped on his back.

He then took to the skies and we were off.

Starting our very own pokemon journey.

-----------------------------------------------

A/N: Yep, the prologue has ended and its journey time.

I'll try to keep the pacing as consistent as possible.

Also about Ezra's love life. He won't just jump right into it. I will try to build it up.

So stay tuned in.

Since I have a lot of plans for this story.
