136 Vs. Janine
Ash's eye twitched watching Janine do her thing, sure he had what he needed but most of his Pokemon that he was going to use didn't have the proper held item.
But then again that would probably take like a few seconds, he looked over at Pikachu for his opinion, and Pikachu tilted his head for a moment before giving Ash a slap on the back and nodding.
Yellow looked over at Ash, "So what are you going to do Ash?"
"I guess I have no choice," Ash responded looking up at the tower where Janine was,
Ash put his hands in front of him creating a cone and Yelled, "ALRIGHT THEN, IF YOU WANT TO LOSE SO BADLY I'M WILLING TO DO THAT FOR YOU!"
Misty covered her face seeing this, "Why can't we just go places and act like normal People."
Janine's voice came over the intercom again, [Confident huh, well then let's have the battle right here in the town center, let's start in 5 Minutes.]
Ash got up and started walking away from the center, "Wait where are you going?" Yellow asked.
"Gonna prepare, I wasn't exactly expecting to battle today so I need to do some stuff, I'll be back in like a minute or two," Ash responded as he walked away.

Ash and Janine were walking up to the town center serving as their arena, People were gathered around getting ready for the battle, there were audible cheers for Janine for something about Honor or a ninja way.
Janine stretched her arm in front of her as she positioned a belt with 5 Pokeballs across her waist, "Good to see you didn't chicken out, I half expected you to run with your tail between your legs."
Ash walked up as he lowered one arm out of the Kimono revealing the black shirt he had underneath and leaving only his left arm in the sleeve Benimaru style, he took his place across, "Why would I run from someone I know I can beat,"
"That confident huh, well I don't suppose you'll tell Little Ol' me what Pokemon you'll use?" Janine snorted.
"As if, that's my only real advantage, you have more experience, and some of your Pokemon are probably stronger than the ones I'm gonna use"
Janine shrugged, "Well it was worth a shot, you'd be surprised how many overly confident People just tell you if you ask."
"I can imagine, well the difference here is that I'm confident, not stupid, I know you at least have 2 ways to just wall me if I don't stop them," Ash said as he was doing a shoulder stretch in a circular motion.
[In a surprising turn of events Gym leader Janine is giving us a battle, not just any battle a gym challenge, we are certainly in for a spectacular battle] the announcer spoke up.
[An official gym battle between Janine the gym leader and Ash Ketchum will begin. Each person is allowed five Pokemon and the other wins if their opponent has no more usable Pokemon. Only the challenger can switch out Pokemon.] the announcer said starting the basic rules.
[Begin!]
Ash and Janine each threw out a Pokeball enveloping the center in a bright light for a moment then dispersing as the two Pokemon stared at each other
"Victreebel!"
"Tentacruel!"
Ash frowned, this was the worst of the two outcomes he could have gotten, he would have preferred Venomoth, but that didn't matter, Tentacruel is a brick wall especially on the special side so special moves were a no-go.
The two Pokemon in question each had items, in fact, the same item they both had Black Sludge.
As Ash was thinking, Janine took the first move, "Tentacruel [Toxic Spikes] now!"
Tentacruel raised the opening where its mouth was as a purple orb was formed and shot into the sky exploding into multiple spikes that dug themselves into the ground.
Ash blinked and locked in, "Victreebel let's do this [Swords dance]!"
Victreebel's leaves started glowing a yellowish color as he started swiping them in the air.
"Oh no you don't, Tentacruel [Haze]."
Ash frowned, that's exactly what he was afraid of and the entire reason he would have preferred to fight Venomoth first, but he shook his head [Haze] had one downside, it took way too long to charge up which gave him a chance.
"Victreebel quickly [Knock Off] into [Leaf Blade]!"
Victreebel quickly dashed over to Tentacruel who was charging up thick black smoke but before it could be shot out Victreebel's two leaves glowed, one a purple color and the other a bright green.
As he got close he delivered a slap to the top of the Tentacruel's head causing it to drop its black sludge, and then the second leaf cut upward dealing a good amount of damage, but it was still up.
Tentacruel shook off the damage as he finally shot the smoke directly at Victreebel and created a field of smoke, and the worst part was that Victreebel lost his +2 boost.
Tentacruel was out of sight and Janine smiled, "Two can play at that game, [Knock Off] multiple times."
As Victreebel was looking around in the smoke unable to see where Tentacruel was, a tentacle appeared behind him and slapped him and knocked out his Black sludge, he turned around to slap the area but there was nothing there and another slap came from behind him again, and again, and again.
This was one of the things that could completely wall trainers, unfortunately, Ash is a dirty cheater who would use his cheats to get ahead
Ash's eyes glowed a light and small blue color allowing him to see Tentacruel's movements so he sent a message over to Victreebel, {Let me be your eyes, just hold on for a moment, and when I say so use 'that'.}
{Very well sir,} Victreebel responded as he focused on defending as Tentacruel continued appearing around him and slamming him with its tentacles.
"Giving up already that's too bad, Tentacruel let's end this with [Poison Jab]!"
The smoke from the left side of Victreebel dispersed to reveal Tentacruel aiming a flying jap directly at the top of Victreebel's head when suddenly he heard something.
{Now!}
Vines appeared from behind Tentacruel and grabbed the glowing tentacle, then another, and another until each tentacle was being grabbed by a vine that seemed to come from nowhere.
Janine was shaken as was everyone who saw this scene, as the smoke finally dispersed enough for everyone to see they saw multiple of Victreebel's vines jabbed into the ground, Tentacruel tried to break free but the more it struggled the tighter the vines got.
Ash gave a sly smile, "I hope you didn't think it would be that easy did you, I haven't had to use this technique since the Pewter era, but it was well worth it," then Ash snapped his fingers.
You see this move is a rework, you could just call it [Fly trap v2], the main reason for this variation was to get rid of the downside of the original. Being that Victreebel would be left vulnerable, but it did lose the benefit of Victreebel's acidic saliva and being able to steal items.
Victreebel's vines started retracting back into the ground causing Tentacruel to get pulled further down until all of its tentacles were separated leaving his center body completely unprotected. And the vines started absorbing energy from it to heal Victreebel.
Janine looked worried, she had never been put in such a situation, "Tentacruel use [Ice Beam] and get out of there."
"As if, Victreebel cut through the beam [Power Whip]," Ash commanded.
As the light blue Beam came out of Tentacruel's mouth, Victreebel brought out a thick vine and brought it down, as they collided the Whip dispersed the Ice and overpowered it letting it collide directly to the vulnerable Tentacruel.
When the Whip hit the ground a large dust cloud was formed from the impact and the ground shook, as it finally dispersed they saw the vines retract back to Victreebel, and Tentacruel's unconscious body.
Janine returned Tentacruel to its Pokeball, "Not bad you really surprised me there, but you won't get me twice, you're up Venomoth!"
Janine threw out a Pokeball revealing a Purple moth with large light blue eyes and a three-point crest on its head.
Ash took one look at the moth and also returned Victreebel, "Not how I wanted this to start but whatever, we just need to gain momentum, you're up Nidoking!"
As soon as Nidoking appeared on the field he stomped and absorbed the spikes from before and stared down the moth with steam coming out of his nostrils. And on his neck, there was a necklace with a familiar purple orb.
Janine looked at him and smiled, "Alright no holding back, Venomoth use [Quiver Dance] multiple times!"
Ash gave a toothy smile, "Nidoking use [Stealth Rock] then [Taunt]."
Nidoking slammed the ground with his tail creating sharp spikes, then he looked at Venomoth directly in the eyes and gave a smug smile before putting his finger under his eye and pulling while sticking his tongue out.
Venomoth was in the middle of stacking its [Quiver Dance] but stopped when it got to +2, then it saw Nidoking's smug face and became agitated.
Janine saw this and was a little panicked, "Venomoth quick use [Sleep Powder]!"
But Venomoth ignored Janine and instead quickly flew forward as its wings started glowing a bright blue color and it threw out a [Air Cutter].
Ash gave a smile seeing this, "Nidoking grab it!"
Nidoking smiled and started running forward as Venomoth's attack was launched creating air blades, Nidoking's fists were covered in ice as he started blocking them and continued moving and when he got close enough he jumped.
Venomoth was startled seeing such a big Pokemon getting so high, it tried to dodge but Nidoking grabbed it with his arm and as they started falling he put the moth under him.
As they fell there was dust kicked up as Nidoking got up then he lowered his arm and picked up the Venomoth with one arm and looked over at Ash.
"I think we shouldn't prolong this, [Head Smash] and [Flamethrower]"
Janine was also startled and since it looked like the taunt finally wore off she yelled, "Venomoth quick use [Sleep Powder] before it's too late!"
Venomoth weekly looked over at Janine as it flapped its wings and shot out some yellowish dust directly into Nidoking's face, but it was ineffective.
Nidoking gave Venomoth a hard headbutt and threw it into the air where he launched a [Flamethrower] directly up enveloping the sky in the light.
As he finished Venomoth fell to the ground and Janine looked absolutely shocked as did everyone watching, Nidoking cracked his arm, and it looked like that was barely a warm-up.
Janine cleared her throat and returned Venomoth, "You certainly took me by surprise, I can't say I've faced someone like that before."
"Yeah well, I really hope you didn't think we would be fighting fair, or is that beyond your ninja techniques."
Janine smiled, "I'll make you eat those words, now let's continue, I have a battle to win, Weezing prepare for battle."
Out of the Pokeball came the third Pokemon Weezing and its second head both spitting out smog.
Janine looked at Ash, "This battle may be in your favor but you're out of your mind if you think I'm going down without a fight, let's do this!"
Ash smiled back, "I wouldn't want it any other way now Nidoking let's have some fun!"
