9 Meeting Juniper and Rowan

(POV Ash)

'I am finally turning 6, and a few weeks before next year in school, over summer vacation some things happened. Firstly I have finally mastered Basic Aura, so that means I can finally start training in the more advanced stuff, my priority is still learning barriers, and potentially healing others with aura.'

'Next, I went to Oak's summer camp with Gary but nothing interesting happened other than getting hugged by Oak's Dragonite. I guess it makes sense Ash was 7 when he slept in on the trip where Goh and Chloe meet Mew, hmm, I wonder if she'll bring him next time, I'll try and influence her just a little.'

'Also started visiting the Library more, nothing much important. I just did a quick feeling with Aura sense to see if there was anything else interesting, there was not. But I also looked around to find any stories about Kanto and the other regions. Overall the main things that I found were things I already knew, and looking through the other books of other regions I came to the conclusion that none of the other evil teams have tried anything yet. So that's both relieving but also very concerning"

'But the biggest thing I found was that Legendarys are not just Pokemon you can get like something from the discount corner of the dollar store, they are fundamental forces of nature, most of them. Big heavy hitters like Groudon and Kyogre need to be uncaught or there may be a good chance the world may end, but Pokemon like Latias and Latios and the bird trio are less important to the laws of nature because there are multiple, manly one per region, but still relevant. I wonder how that will affect Tobias considering it was confirmed that his team consisted of only legendaries. Well, we'll find out when we get there. I wonder if I can convince Palkia and Dialga to send me to the game Vershon so I can get a bunch of them, probably not.'

'So all I'll do is just wait for next year to come in to learn more from the Oak. Maybe I should take some human and Pokemon medical classes to see if I can use my medical degree that was torn from my hands for anything.'

(Start of school)

'As the school year started not much changed, everyone stayed in the same classes, but I took some medical classes, that reminds me that Jessie went to a Pokémon Nurse School because she couldn't get into normal nursing school, and then they failed her despite being having pretty good talent in nursing, sad maybe I'll do something for her and James in the future. Their backstory always made me sad.'

'Any way not much happened in the year, Angry corner people are still angry, Wally and Yellow are becoming a bit more open and Green started talking more, Tierno started a dance club because obviously, Gary is doing Gary things. And nearing the end of the year Oak said he would be bringing another one of his work associates to come and talk to us about what they study. But before all that, the class was having a heated debate with Gary'

"So the question we all want to know Gary, Is Agatha of the elite four your grandmother?" Ash started the debate. "Wha- why is this the question being asked, why should I tell you?" Gary said

Green responded, "Oh come on, it's common knowledge that Agatha had a thing for Oak when they were younger."

As everyone looked at Gary he just yelled out, "So what, how should I know she never comes to Pallet and when would they be together?"

Shauna jumps in, "You didn't deny it and besides Oak has to go on meetings with the Elite 4 every other month, so spill it."

As Gary was both figuratively and literally backed into a corner, Oak came in and settled down the class. When they were seated he started, "Well as you all know I called another one of my colleagues to talk to you all about their research. So I would like you all to meet the man who is my senior and a veteran, who specializes in Pokemon evolution, Professor Rowan. And the woman who I have taught myself, focusing on the origin of Pokemon, ​​Professor Juniper"

As he finished two people came into the room, Professor Rowan is a man who has fair skin, blue eyes, and spiky white hair with sideburns and a mustache. He wears a gray jacket over a white shirt paired with a light blue vest, a gray tie, dark teal pants, and gray shoes.

Professor Juniper is an elegant woman with fair skin, green eyes, and poofy honey-colored hair. She wears a pale greenish-blue lab coat and a white blouse, along with a short green skirt and athletic white shoes with red stripes. She also has red rectangular earrings in both of her ears.

Professor Rowan Started, "Yes as you have heard from Oak here, I study Pokemon evolution, now that may seem straightforward but I can assure you that what I study is anything but. Now an example of what I refer to is item evolutions, as I'm sure you all are aware some pokemon Evolve using stones, well throughout my studies I have found that there are other ways to evolve a Pokemon." As he pulls out two Pokeballs he sends out, an Electabuzz and a Magmar.

He continued, "You see these Pokemon are relatively well known especially in Kanto, but with research, we have discovered that with special items like these" As he pulls out a Magmarizer and an Electirizer, "They can evolve further, let me demonstrate." As he gives the two items to the Pokemon they begin to glow. And as they stop they are in new forms much to the surprise of many of the students in the room.

Standing in front of the children are Electivire and Magmortar, "You see and this is not even close to everything I have found within my research, there are many more, like alternative evolutions for some Pokemon, or even Pokemon you didn't know could evolve. But anyway are there any questions?"

As he said that there were a few children that immediately had a question, mainly being what other evolutions there were, but Ash had a thought, 'Well if I'm going to ask anyone it may as well be Rowen.' as he raised his hand he asked, "Would there ever be a reason a pokemon can't evolve?"

Rowen heard this and thought for a second before answering, "Good question, there are a few reasons a Pokemon may be unable to evolve. Now to get it out of the way, all Pokemon can evolve there is no potential for which Pokemon can or can't evolve. But as for the reason, there are three I can think of. Firstly a Pokemon may not have the motivation to evolve, you see evolution is not connected to strength or age, there are some Pokemon that are older than you or me that haven't evolved, and that is mainly because there has been no need to evolve or no need to fight in the wild or captivity. The second possibility is you may train your Pokemon wrong, doing this will make evolution harder if not impossible for your Pokemon so you all better learn to correctly train them. And the last one I can think of is they may be afraid to evolve, they may think that evolution will change who they are or cause people to see them differently."

As Rowen finished he continued the questioning, but Ash started to think, 'Lack of motivation and fear, well those may explain why some of Ash's Pokemon did not evolve but what about others, well if the professor of evolution doesn't know I am going to have to find out for myself.' As he finished thinking, Professor Rowan finished the questions and Professor Juniper started.

"As you all know by now I am Professor Juniper and I focus on the origins of Pokemon, this field of study is a broad but important one. I study everything from Pokemon origins to how Pokemon were different many years ago. Me and Rowan have partnered to find a lot of evolutions Pokemon used to have, I have an example here" as she pulls out a Fossilized Kleavor Axe-hand, "Originally I thought this was a new fossil Pokemon but after Rownen got his hands on it we found that it was an alternative evolution of Scyther. So we have been researching more on how it evolved and other ancient evolutions."

As Professor Juniper also finished she was also asked many questions, but none that would be considered too important. Just questions like, "Have you found ancient Pokemon?" or, "Can you revive them?". As the questioning stopped, Oak said, "Well this was very exciting to learn about, however, we should allow the Professors to continue their research." And as he said that the professors waved and left.

'And just like that the next year ended, but this time there would be something interesting happening over the summer, you see I convinced Chloe to invite someone to this year's summer camp to make it more interesting, maybe a friend or something. And it worked thanks to my plan I convinced her to invite Goh to this year's summer camp, the one where Mew will appear.'

'Gary didn't want to go because this year's camp was going to be a one-day expedition into the woods instead of the usual summer camp, and Green just never goes outside. Is she afraid of birds or not? I still haven't figured it out.'

'But anyway, time to experience the Camp that Original Ash slept through.'

Hey sorry this one is later than usual, I had my first test for Finals today by surprise so I spent the early part of the day studying, thankfully it was Phycology so it was easy.
