Final year (Rewrite)

As the plane landed back in Kanto, Ash sighed in his seat looking out of the window. The moment the wheels hit the tarmac, Pichu peeked out of his backpack, blinking sleepily before giving a soft "Pii?"

Ash chuckled. "We're home, buddy."

Climbing down the steps, Ash immediately spotted some familiar figures waiting at the gate, his mom, Professor Oak, and Daisy. Gary stood next to them with his arms crossed and a scowl that didn't quite reach his eyes.

The first to notice Ash was Professor Oak, who waved eagerly. Delia didn't wait, she ran straight up and scooped her son into a tight hug before he could even say a word.

"Oh, Ashy, I missed you so much!" Delia squealed, nearly lifting him off the ground. Pichu squirmed out of the bag and jumped onto her shoulder, chirping.

"I missed you too, Mom," Ash grinned, muffled slightly by the hug. "When you said Alola was going to be like a vacation, you weren't kidding." He gave Oak a tired but amused look. "I'll tell you all about it in the car."

"You better," Gary said, walking over and crossing his arms, but not quite able to hide the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "You would not believe how boring it got here. Everyone kept asking about you. And the guy who took your place? Lame. Didn't talk to anyone. Just kept mumbling about his Pokémon back in Alola."

"Don't let Gar-bear fool you," Daisy added, giving Gary a teasing nudge. "He missed you too. And Green—she would've come with us but her parents dragged her off to the Sevii Islands for a vacation."

"Huh. Lucky her. I'll talk to her when she gets back. Anyway, can we go? I wanna flop onto my bed and never move again," Ash said, stretching with an exaggerated groan. Pichu mimicked him with a dramatic yawn and a little head flop onto Ash's shoulder.

The drive back to Pallet was filled with laughter as Ash shared his misadventures from Alola, like trying to surf on a Mantine and wiping out in front of the whole school, or the time Kiawe's Turtonator accidentally set the class flag on fire. In return, Gary filled him in on what he'd missed.

"Wally started training to be a Pokémon Trainer," Gary said, waving a hand like it was no big deal.

Ash blinked. "Wally? Seriously? Huh. Good for him. Man, makes me wish I was here to see it."

As they pulled into Pallet Town and started walking toward the house, Ash noticed Gary had a smug little smirk tugging at his face.

"What's with you?" Ash asked, side-eyeing him. "Did Professor Oak finally give up trying to make you be a professor?"

"I wish," Gary snorted. Then he reached into his pocket and held up a PokéBall. "Nah, I got something better. Check this out!"

He threw the ball, and a beam of light burst out, forming into a perky little Eevee with a puff of fluff and a tail flick.

Ash's eyes widened slightly, but Pichu puffed up instantly, arms crossed and cheeks sparking faintly.

"This is Eevee," Gary said proudly. "And he's gonna be way stronger than your little rat."

"Pichuuu," Pichu muttered darkly, glaring.

Ash just snorted and rubbed Pichu's head gently. "Sure, Gary. Keep telling yourself that. If you really want to test that, how about we battle at the end of the school year?"

"You're on!" Gary grinned. "And when I win, you'll see why I'm gonna be the better trainer!"

Delia clapped her hands, smiling warmly. "Okay, okay, enough of that! I have a little surprise waiting at home. Happy birthday, sweetheart!"

"Wait what?" Ash blinked as they reached the front door. Delia swung it open with a flourish.

Inside, on the table, sat a cake decorated with tiny frosting Poké Balls and sparkler candles. A little Pikachu figurine made of sugar stood in the center.

"Make a wish," she said.

Ash stepped forward slowly, eyes wide with surprise. "You really didn't have to…"

Delia just smiled. "Of course I did."

Gary elbowed his side, "Yeah, now come on, make a wish,"

He looked down at Pichu, who blinked up at him with his big ears tilted. Ash scooped him up and set him gently on the table beside the cake.

"Alright, let's blow it out together, yeah?" he said.

Pichu looked away, arms crossed dramatically like he was above such childish things… but then he nodded.

Together, they took a deep breath then blew out the candle.

It was the first day of the new school year, the final one for most of the Kanto kids. Ash walked through the school. As soon as he stepped inside, a wave of familiar voices greeted him.

"Ash! You're back!" Green said immediately jumping on his back and hugging him like a koala

Ash sighed and tried getting her off, "Hey Green, missed you too," but she didn't let go

"Hey, what was Alola like?" Hilda said leaning over her desk

Rosa cut in bouncing on her chair, "Did you get to battle Pokémon there?!"

Even Paul and Silver looked happier to see him, well Silver was dragged by Green and, Paul just sort of looked at him longer than usual, which totally counted.

Ash grinned. "Miss me or something?"

He got a few eye rolls and some laughs, but that was fine. He'd missed this.

One of the cooler moments came when Wally shyly approached him near the lockers.

"Um… hey, Ash," Wally mumbled, clutching his bag. "I just wanted to say… thanks. I-i mean…about you telling me to be brave, so I'm going to be a trainer, just like you."

Ash smirked and patted his shoulder, "That's awesome, Wally. You're gonna crush it."

Wally beamed, and hurried off over to his seat

Meanwhile, Pichu had been perched on Ash's shoulder, tail flicking slightly. Ever since Gary said his Eevee was better, something in Pichu had shifted. Normally lazy and content with snacks, and naps in the sun, Pichu now wanted to train.

Like, actually train.

Ash remembered how serious Pichu had looked when he told him, "Pi! Pichu!"

Ash smirked, "Now you're talking, i'll make you the strongest in the world if you let me"

Thanks to all the strange knowledge he got from his 'cheats', Ash knew exactly how to train Pichu, and along with stretch and speed training, he wanted to teach him one more move. He tied little rocks to Pichu's tail and had him practice movements doing everything with the extra weight

"Okay, one more set!" Ash called as Pichu grunted, doing tail raises with pebbles dangling behind him, and Ash to motivate him was doing pushups next to him

Gary walked by one day and scoffed. "Trying to make him fly with his tail or something?"

Ash just smirked. "We'll see who's flying when Pichu beats the brocks off of Eevee."

Gary gave a mock salute and walked off, probably to train Eevee harder, too.

Most of their classmates didn't have Pokémon yet, so they just watched the training during recess like it was a TV show. Some cheered. Some laughed. But Ash didn't stop

Then one morning, Professor Oak gathered everyone in the main hall. He stepped up to the stage with his usual warm smile.

"Hello everyone, and welcome back to school! For many of you, this will be your final year here at Pallet Academy," Oak said. "Those of you from Kanto will soon have a big choice ahead, whether to continue your studies here, or to graduate and follow your dreams, whatever they may be."

He gestured to the stage. "So, in the spirit of looking ahead, why don't those of you with something to share come up and tell us what you plan to do after graduation?"

Ash was first on the list, he hopped up first and grabbed the mic with a grin, "I'm going to challenge the Pokémon League," he declared,

The room buzzed with cheers and whispers.

Gary was next, striding up and taking the mic from Ash, "I'm going to become a Pokémon Master," he said coolly, pointing to his chest confidently

Green followed, smiling like she already had one foot on her journey. "I'm going on my adventure," she said simply, but she had an evil smirk on her face as she did

Yellow stepped up after her, hands clasped behind her back, she nervously spoke into the mic "I'm going back to Viridian City," she said with a soft smile. "To help Pokémon there."

And lastly, Chloe walked up, "I'll be returning to Vermilion City to continue my studies, some things changed, i…don't really know what I'm going to do anymore,"

Her saying she was going to be a Professor was just a child wanting to be like her parent, now that she was older she knew she didn't want to be a professor but she didn't exactly know what that was going to be

Ash looked around at all of them, feeling the energy in the room change. This was it. Their last year. After this, the real adventures would begin.

He looked down at Pichu, who was resting on his foot with a determined little smirk.

"Get ready," Ash whispered. "We've got a lot to do."

Pichu nodded, and patted his chest

—--

As the semester rolled on, Ash couldn't help but feel like the whole thing was just a victory lap.

He wasn't really learning anything new, at least, not academically. Most of the material he'd already mastered during his strange Alolan study-boost. Somehow, he was even technically qualified to attend medical school now, which blew his mind.

"I wish it was actually this easy to get into med school," Ash thought, staring blankly at a textbook he didn't need.

Still, he did pick up some new concepts, like Base Stat Totals—those mysterious numbers that supposedly defined a Pokémon's power. Apparently, with enough training, even those could be increased. That was good to know.

The most exciting part of the semester, though, was the class trip to the movies. It should have been fun. Should.

The movie they watched was a bizarre adaptation of the original Pokémon manga. It featured a version of Red, not the one from the adventures manga, the one with a talking Clefairy. A loud, weird, slapstick Clefairy.

"Why is this a movie?" Ash thought, eyes wide with disbelief. "No, better question: how is this a movie?"

Things only got weirder when the infamous brown Onix scene came up.

"Yeah, I'm not describing that. For my own mental health," he decided, shrinking into his seat. The rest of the class seemed to find it hilarious, though. Figures.

Still, Professor Oak kept things interesting. Near the end of the semester, he promised a surprise guest lecturer, and another professor was coming in to speak before graduation.

Meanwhile, Ash continued going over all the strange knowledge swirling in his head. One day he realized he knew how to make Pokéblocks, but not the usual kind for contests. These ones actually enhanced training results when given to Pokémon. That discovery had serious potential.

He'd also recently figured out how to create barriers, actual, defensive energy barriers. They weren't great yet, kind of flickery and inconsistent, but they worked. Sort of. Baby steps.

"Let's not rush this and accidentally turn into a psychic onion like AZ," he muttered. "No corruption arcs today."

One afternoon during a school break, Ash and Gary decided to have a fishing competition, classic Kanto bonding. The goal? Catch the most interesting thing.

It started normal enough. A few Magikarp, a stray Poliwag, even a boot.

Then Gary shouted, "Whoa-Ash! I got something!" and Ash pulled hard on his line at the same time.

Together, they reeled in a single rusted Poké Ball tangled between both lines.

"Is it… stuck?" Ash asked.

"Looks like—" SNAP.

The old Poké Ball cracked in half, breaking apart right in their hands.

They stared at each other, then immediately started bickering.

"You pulled it harder!"

"No way! You jerked it first!"

Eventually, they settled it the only way that made sense.

"Battle for it?" Ash suggested.

Gary smirked. "Winner gets the PokéBall. Deal."

They shook on it, locking in the challenge.

The day of the guest professor's visit arrived, and with it came the final stretch of the school year. The classroom buzzed with energy as students gathered around the five classmates who would be leaving after graduation.

"I'm gonna miss you, buddy," Tierno said, pulling Ash into a big hug.

Ash chuckled. "It's not goodbye forever, y'know."

"I still can't believe you guys are graduating," Bianca said, a little teary-eyed. "It feels like we just started school. Like… it's only been, what? A year?"

Everyone turned to stare at her.

"…Bianca, it's been four years," Cheren deadpanned.

Bianca blinked, "Ah, eto... bleh," then knocked on her own head, "Right. Four years. Totally knew that,"

Barry let out a groan. "Man, I'm so jealous! I still have to wait to graduate. How am I supposed to become the greatest Pokémon Trainer if I'm stuck in school?"

"Just you wait," he said, pointing dramatically. "Once I'm out, I'll catch up in no time!"

Gary crossed his arms smugly. "Yeah, yeah. I hope you all watch the next League tournament, because I'll be there. And you'll see a real Pokémon Master win."

Ash raised an eyebrow but he shook his head, 'I guess he is still season one Gary, huh…'

Then he smiled and sighed, "Don't worry. I'm planning on going to each region to compete in every League. So I'm sure we'll all meet again, so how about it when i get there i'll be in your care~"

The mood in the room lightened at that.

As the class continued chatting, the door to the classroom swung open with a soft creak. Professor Oak stepped inside, followed by a woman about his age with a warm smile and a graceful presence.

"Hello, everyone," Oak began. "I know most of you are excited for your classmates who will be graduating soon, but before that, I'd like to introduce you to a special guest. Please welcome Professor Magnolia."

The woman stepped forward, beaming as she surveyed the room.

"Hello, dears! I'm so glad to be here," she said with a soft laugh. "Aww, you're all so cute! You remind me of my granddaughter, she's not much older than you are."

Ash blinked. Magnolia was exactly how he'd seen her in his mental image bank—elegant and grandmotherly, but sharp behind the eyes.

She was a slender older woman with kind green eyes and neatly styled brown hair. She wore a soft yellow long-sleeved dress beneath a crisp white lab coat, beige ballet flats, and a striking purple necklace. A matching purple headband held back her hair, and she leaned lightly on a cane shaped like a bird, which seemed more aesthetic than functional.

"Well," she continued, "as Professor Oak mentioned, I'm a Pokémon Professor too. My field of study is the phenomenon known as Dynamax. Now, Dynamax refers to a temporary transformation that greatly increases a Pokémon's size and power."

There were a few gasps of awe from the class.

"But," she added, raising a finger, "some Pokémon can go one step further. If they have the right potential, they can Gigantamax, transforming not just in size, but in form as well, gaining a powerful signature move unique to that state."

She tapped her cane and projected several images onto the screen behind her—massive Pokémon towering over stadiums: a skyscraper-sized Meowth, a cake-like Alcremie, a terrifyingly wide-mouthed Gengar.

"However," Magnolia said, "this transformation doesn't happen just anywhere. It can only occur at specific places rich in Dynamax energy. We call these places Power Spots. Trainers also need a special Dynamax Band to access this phenomenon."

"Currently, my granddaughter—also a professor—is traveling across Galar researching the ancient history of Dynamax and where it all began," she said proudly. "It's a fascinating mystery, and we're only scratching the surface."

She opened the floor. "Any questions?"

Ash had to admit, Dynamax seemed simple enough. It was definitely the most straightforward regional gimmick he'd heard of. Power spot, power bracelet, go big. No time travel, mind-linking, soul resonance, or bizarre magical corruption. Honestly, refreshing.

So he stayed quiet while the rest of the class eagerly raised their hands, asking about what Power Spots looked like, what happened if a Pokémon Dynamaxed outside of one (they couldn't), and what Magnolia's granddaughter was like.

As the questions wound down, Oak gently stepped back in. "Thank you, Professor Magnolia—that was incredibly informative," he said with a grateful smile. "Unfortunately, she has other engagements, so we won't keep her."

Magnolia gave the class a fond wave. "Good luck to you all, perhaps I'll see some of you in Galar one day, if you do, do come visit an old woman for some tea," With that, she exited, cane tapping gently against the floor.

And just like that the year ended and there was a graduation ceremony for everyone that would be leaving Oak's school, although it was only Ash, Gary, Green, Chloe, and Yellow. Only 3 of them would be going to be trainers right away.

But before that, the day before the graduation ceremony it was time for the battle that has been hinted at since Ash came back, Ash vs Gary. Most of the class had gathered in the open field behind the school, spread out across the grass and playground benches to watch something far more important than class,

Of Course they had Oak's permission, just as long as they let Dragonite supervise so no one got hurt, which they were fine with

"Okay, okay! Back up, you're standing in the battle zone!" Ash said, arms outstretched as he tried to mark the boundaries of the field with his feet.

Gary rolled his eyes. "You don't even know how big a battlefield's supposed to be."

"I do too!" Ash shot back. "I measured it with… um… steps! That's official!"

"You just made that up," Gary replied, smirking.

"Did not."

"Did too."

"Okay, can we battle please?" Bianca called from the sidelines, sitting cross-legged next to Cheren.

"Fine, after all I've got to show how much better I am," Gary said, turning around with his hands on his hips. "Hey remember when we played pretend battles, this time it's for real."

"Yeah, only this time it won't be a imaginary draw~" Ash smirked

"Ok ok, come on, people paid good money to watch," Green said, as she was sitting on the monkey bars.

"Wait what? We're not charging to watch," Ash asked

"Oh you didn't," then Green smirked, "But i did, make it good~"

Gary looked at Green and sighed, "I swear, how are we friends…"

"At this point, i don't know either, but she has a point, let's do this"

Gary smiled and spun his Pokeball in his hand, "Winner gets bragging rights and the PokéBall. Loser gets to sulk forever."

Ash returned the smirk, "Sure, just don't cry when I win,."

Next to him, his small yellow Pichu perked up with a squeaky, determined, "Pii!"

Gary knelt down beside his Eevee, scratching behind her ear. "We've got this,"

"Vee!" Eevee barked, hopping up on all fours with a wag of his tail.

"Alright, alright," said Cheren, standing up and raising one hand like a referee. "This will be a one-on-one battle between Ash and Gary. Last Pokémon standing wins!"

"Can I say 'ready, set, go'?" Barry asked, already bouncing on his feet.

"No!" said three people at once.

"…fine."

Cheren cleared his throat. "Ok send out your Pokémon!"

Ash and Gary each pointed forward dramatically.

"Go, Pichu!" Ash called.

"Let's do this, Eevee!" Gary shouted.

The two tiny Pokémon faced each other, "You can take the first move,," Gary said, cocky as ever. "I don't need the head start."

Ash gave him a look. "You're gonna wish you did. Pichu Quick Attack!"

Pichu darted forward in a yellow blur, zipping across the field with a high-pitched chirp.

"Eevee quick Sand attack!!"

Eevee stomped his paws into the ground and kicked up dirt throwing it in Pichu's eyes making him blind for a moment letting Eevee dodge.

"Now Swift!" Gary followed up

Eevee twisted in the air and shot Swift stars at Pichu hitting him and sending Pichu flying back into the dirt

Ash frowned, admittedly neither he or Gary had any battle experience, but he could wing it, "Pichu, get up and use Thunder Shock!"

Pichu squeaked, cheeks sparking, as he slapped his cheeks and set out a bolt of electricity at the fox. It hit Eevee directly and his fur stuck up like a fluffy ball

"Eevee!" Gary yelped. "You okay?!"

Eevee wobbled, a bit frazzled, but growled as he shook himself lowering his fur, and nodded

"Shake it off and use Growl, then Quick Attack!"

Eevee lowered her stance and let out a sharp growl that made Pichu flinch slightly, then vanished in a blur. And tackled into Pichu's stomach making the mouse fall back spinning

Ash bit his lip. "Don't give up, Pichu! Let's change our plan, use Quick Attack again!"

Pichu zipped to the left, then kicked off a rock like a pinball, veering sharply to the side. Eevee blinked, thrown off for a moment.

"That's it!" Ash shouted. "Now Thunder Shock again!"

As Pichu rebounded, he landed atop another rock and spun in the air, cheeks crackling. A bolt of lightning launched from his tiny body and struck Eevee from above.

Eevee squealed and dropped to her knees, fur standing up in sharp, spiky tufts. She let out a little scratchy sound and tried to push herself upright.

"He's still up?" Chloe whispered in disbelief.

"Not just him, look at Pichu he's also getting tired," Shauna added

"Its doesn't make sense," Cheren said still watching, "By all accounts they should both not have enough energy to move, and yet there still going,"

"Battles aren't just about books you know," Green said looking down with a smirk, "I've known those 2 idiots since forever, and there as stubborn as it gets, neither of them wants to lose, not now not ever,"

Gary took a breath and looked at Ash. "Fine, let's finish this. Eevee, use Body Slam!"

Eevee started running forward, aiming to crush Pichu.

But Ash just smiled back. "You're right. Pichu, let's show them what we've been working on use Iron Tail!"

Everyone looked shocked as Pichu started running to meet Eevee halfway. They hadn't thought Ash would actually be able to teach Pichu that—much less be able to use it. Paul was about to say something about Ash being stupid, but then something happened that made him shut up.

Pichu's tail started flickering silver as he ran—on and off, back and forth. It was crude and messy at best, but he could do it. It was all or nothing. Pichu jumped into the air as his tail turned silver and crashed against Eevee.

For a moment, they struggled to overpower each other. Both Pokémon grit their teeth. But as Pichu started getting pushed back, he closed his eyes and thought about Ash.

He took care of him, fed him, made him feel like family, and trained him to be stronger. At first, maybe he just wanted to leech off of him and then abandon him. But after everything, every laugh, every birthday, every bottle of ketchup, he finally admitted something he had tried to deny: he… liked Ash.

And right now, Pichu wasn't just fighting to prove he's better than some fluffy fox, he wanted to win, because Ash put his faith in him!

As Pichu began to growl and push back, suddenly he began glowing, and growing. In front of everyone, Pichu evolved into Pikachu. With the extra strength, he yelled, "Pika!!" and slammed his tail down, sending Eevee into the dirt as dust floated up.

For a moment, everyone was trying to process what had just happened. Did they really see that? Then the dust settled. On the ground, Eevee was laying there with spirals in his eyes as Pikachu raised his hand. "Pika!"

"HE EVOLVED?!" Cheren shouted, jumping to his feet.

"Did that just—Pichu—no, wait—Pikachu—HE DID IT!" May squealed.

"Ha! I knew my little buddy would win!" Tierno yelled happily.

Gary just stood there in complete shock, staring at his Eevee, then at Ash's Pikachu. "That's not fair…" he muttered, but even as he said it, a slow smile crept onto his face. "Okay… maybe that was kinda cool."

Ash sighed but smiled as he looked at Pikachu. "You evolved," he said with a grin. Since Pikachu was a friendship evolution, that meant Pikachu really did like him. "Congrats."

Pikachu turned to face Ash and leapt into his arms. Ash caught him, laughing as Pikachu nuzzled into his cheek. There was a slight static zap, but Ash didn't even flinch—after being with this mouse for a while, he was used to the shocks.

Cheren looked the most taken aback from the battle. He rubbed his head. "I didn't… I didn't even think Pichu could learn Iron Tail yet. I thought they only could after they evolve."

"Well, usually they can't," Green laughed as she ran over to Ash and Gary, grabbing them both around the neck and pulling them into a hug. "But then again, when has logic made sense for these guys? And you two better be ready, because I'm the one who's gonna beat you both~"

Ash and Gary just looked at her, then laughed.

"Sure, keep telling yourself that, number 3~" Ash said playfully.

"Who are you calling number 3?! If anything, Gary's the one who's gonna be number 3!" Green pouted, pushing them out of her arms

Gary flinched slightly. "Hey! Why am I catching strays? At least I have a Pokémon!"

Everyone got a good laugh. Gary looked at Ash. "Well, I guess since you won… we did make a deal, didn't we?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out part of the Poké Ball—the red part, and gave it to Ash.

As the crowd around them finally began to thin, Green elbowed Gary from behind. "You okay losing?"

Gary frowned. "I'm not happy about it, but… it was kinda cool. I'm gonna beat him next time, though."

"Sure you will~" Ash said, as he looked at the two pieces in his hand and smiled. Then he threw the white part of the Poké Ball back to Gary. "Keep it. We found it together. Besides, now every time you look at it, you'll remember how I beat you~"

Gary rolled his eyes and smiled. "Fine, but I'm still gonna beat you."

"Okay, enough of that," Dawn cut in as she pointed at Pikachu. "He looks so chonky, can we hug him?!"

Ash and Pikachu looked at each other and blinked owlishly. Then they both shrugged.

"I mean, if he wants to."

That was good enough. The girls swooped in, scooped up Pikachu, and probably went to dress him up. Ash just shook his head and looked over at Gary and Green, bumping Gary's sholder, "I'm hungry. You lost, so you're paying for lunch."

Gary rolled his eyes and pushed Ash on the shoulder, but smiled. "Fine. Let's go."

Then, the next day came. It was time, the last day of the school year, and the last time Ash was going to see most of them for at least a little while. He sat at the front, with Pikachu perched on his shoulder.

Oak began the ceremony. "I'm glad another wonderful year has passed. I'm also proud to say that these five students will now graduate and leave my school to pursue their goals. I wish all of you the best. Now, would any of you like to say a few words to your fellow students?"

Hearing this, Gary couldn't help but jump at the opportunity. As he walked up to the mic, he said confidently, "The next time any of you see me, it'll be on TV, when I go on to win the League Tournament. And once you finally graduate, you're more than welcome to come find me… and lose."

There was a wave of groans and muttering from the crowd as the other students reacted to Gary's arrogance. Oak chuckled awkwardly and took back the mic. "Well… that sure was a speech. Would anyone else like to say something?" He glanced over, very clearly at Ash.

"Well… I guess I have to fix Gary's mess. Again," Ash muttered under his breath as he stood up and walked to the mic.

"I'm not too good at speeches," Ash began, rubbing the back of his head. "So I'll keep this short. These past few years at this school have been some of the best of my life, and that's mostly because of all of you."

He looked around the room, making eye contact with his classmates.

"So I can't wait to see what all of you go on to do—from becoming Trainers, to Professors, to even bird watchers. So thank you. And next time we meet, let's have a Pokemon battle."

He handed the mic back to Oak, and this time, the crowd burst into cheers.

Oak smiled warmly at the reaction and said, "Thank you, Ash. I wish all of you the best of luck. I look forward to everything you'll achieve in the future. And I hope for another wonderful semester next year."

Cheers and applause echoed through the auditorium.

And just like that, Ash's school life ended and his adventure was about to begin.

End of Childhood Arc woohoo, I gotta admit coming up with these became repetitive very fast and I saw that some people didn't like the pre-series stuff, so I decided to make it as fast as I could make it without making like 5k chapters. I actually had a lot of dialogue and activities that were scraped. I was going to have specific story arcs with other students, but hey at least I can pull a Naruto or Frieren and pull a flashback out of nowhere to solve a plot hole.

BTW some things were changed in the story later on so I want to ask this, should Ash catch Butterfree even though it will be released?

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
