144 Aerodactyl
You may be asking why would Ash come here for an Aerodactyl if he already has an Old amber, well you'll be glad to know he wasn't planning on using this Aerodactyl for battle, but he also wasn't planning on using the Old amber Aerodactyl ether.
You see the process of reviving it was no problem, it would take a few hours when he got to Cinnabar Island. But when a Pokemon is revived they are brought back at the last moment of their life, it was more like cloning than true revival in a sense.
But that came with 2 things, firstly they would be brought at the strength they were so if you somehow got the king of all Aerodactyl's DNA then you would have a powerful monster that you couldn't control, but the downside was that it wasn't perfect, DNA would get lost and so the potential strength of those revived Pokemon would get reduced.
Let's take Brock's Kabutops for example, he is already Brock's strongest pure offensive Pokemon, and yet he is nerfed due to the loss of DNA.
And that comes with a second problem, Pokemon that are revived can't breed.
Now for anyone not versed in Pokemon breeding won't understand what the problem is, but anyone who does, knows the big problem in it.
You see, not all Pokemon start the same, let's take Ash's Gyarados and Misty's Gyarados, you'd think that Ash's would be overwhelmingly stronger like it wouldn't be a competition, but you'd be wrong.
Even though Ash's Gyarados is both shiny which makes him inherently stronger than normal Gyarados, he also has that mutation.

The thing is that Misty's Gyarados was specifically bred and even has one of its own that it inherited from the father Gyarados, meaning that she actually has a better start than Ash's.

Seriously you didn't think Ash was the only person to have them, a lot of people have Pokemon like that, anyway back on the topic next comes training.
Ash does have the training guide for all Pokemon that he knows of, and according to it, he knows the quickest and most efficient way to train Gyarados and teach him the moves he needs.
But Misty's family's entire thing is water Pokemon, and more specifically Gyarados, and when Ash got the chance to compare the training, Misty's wasn't that far behind, so even though Ash's Gyarados was stronger, it wasn't by much.
So what's the point of all of this? Pokemon specifically bred are superior, even though Ash does know how to compensate for that difference if he had one of his own he could go even further, like with Dratini later but currently she is still a baby.
The fact is that's why the starter Pokemon are so important, Charizard wasn't the only one with a mutation from the trio, Gary's Squirtle and Green's Bulbasaur also had them, and they were bred to be strong, which just brings into question again why Oak gave away Charizard when it should have gone to Ash in the first place.
And then there's Lance who has an entire team of specially bred Pokemon from his clan, but he's not the only one, Wallace's Milotic, Steven's Metagross, Cynthia's Garchomp, etc.
But that's beside the point, as long as he got everything ready he was about to abuse Oak's guilt and make another deal.
Ash tossed out Charizard's Pokeball releasing his fire dragon, Charizard himself as soon as he was out he stretched his wings and looked around, and then immediately looked down at his nonexistent watch
Ash tapped him on the shoulder, "No it's fine, it is nighttime, it's just we aren't exactly outside right now."
But you know that didn't help, Charizard just looked more confused, and around this time Machoke finally walked back to Ash holding the flashlight, looking somewhat satisfied.
Machoke gave Ash the flashlight back but as soon as he looked into the sky he saw those flying dinosaurs, and immediately there were stars in his eyes.
He pointed towards the group Aerodactyl, "Ma-Machoke-choke! (✯ᴗ✯)"
Ash and Charizard looked at each other, and they both sighed, Charizard turned around and Machoke hoped on, Ash got on after but got in front of Machoke.
As Charizard flew into the air Ash spoke up, "Alright Machoke you can take care of the smaller ones, but we need to follow the big one for now, if you aren't satisfied then, well then I dunno Go beat up some of the other ones."
Machoke looked kinda disappointed but still agreed, so Ash signaled for Charizard to get above the Aerodactyl.
When they were above Ash turned to Machoke and gave him a salute, "This is your stop,"
Machoke smiled and also saluted as he leaned back and fell off Charizard, as he was falling he caught onto 2 of the Aerodactyl and dragged them down with him into the ground, leaving the 3rd to stay there looking i confusion wondering where its friends were, and also flew down.
Ash and Charizard watched from above and Charizard looked back and gave Ash a disappointed look.
"What, he'll be fine."
"Char- (¯-¯) [It's not him I'm worried about]"
Charizard flew back up and Ash guided him to find and follow the large Aerodactyl, it wasn't hard since it was bigger than everything, and Charizard followed without being noticed.
After a bit of time, the Aerodactyl finally landed near a mountain that looked like it might have once been a volcano, but Charizard hadn't flown in yet.
Aerodactyl looked like it was resting and then walking on the mounts, but then Ash saw what he wanted, a nest.
Ash taped Charizard on the head, "Go wild, I know you haven't gotten into a good fight in a while," Ash said as he jumped off letting Charizard see Aerodactyl.
Aerodactyl was resting on the rocks and looked like it was eating the leftovers of an Omanyte, when suddenly the figure of an orange dragon appeared next to it In a split second, then before it could react Charizard's electrically charged fist punched it square in the face and sent the prehistoric flying type flying back to the ground.
Aerodactyl was left in a crater from the force, Charizard didn't know why but it somehow felt personal, so as Aerodactyl looked up at him he put his finger under his eye and pulled in a mocking way.
Aerodactyl looked furious as it tore out of the crater it formed with its body and shot back up towards Charizard, murder in his eyes as he shot out a gout of flame towards Charizard.
Charizard set out a [Flamethrower] of his own as they clashed and enveloped the sky in bright orange light.

Machoke was having the time of his life fighting the 3 Aerodactyl, one of them had its head in the dirt as he was delivering a [Bullet Punch] to the jaw of the second.
As he sent that Aerodactyl flying back the third sent a [Rock slide] down to try and crush the fighting type.
Machoke smirked as he put his arms in an X-form and jumped through the rockets using a [Cross Chop] getting closer towards the Aerodactyl, and grabbed onto it as it used a [Submission] holding its wings to its side sending them both falling to the ground.
The first Aerodactyl finally pulled his head out of the ground and when he looked up it was greeted by the sight of its friend shooting at him like a Missle.
Aerodactyl screamed in fear as it quickly tried to move out of the way but he failed as they crashed into each other and put him back into the dirt.
Machoke emerged from the dust as he spun his arm when suddenly he saw the final Aerodactyl flying towards him with hatred in its eyes.
Machoke smiled and raised his foot, as Aerodactyl got close Machoke delivered an Axe kick directly on the head of the Flying type sending it into the ground again.

Ash was climbing through the mountain as Aerodactyl and Charizard were fighting, it didn't take much for him to get to the nest, looking inside he only saw 1 Egg with red and blue patterns on it.
Unfortunately, that was the only Egg there but beggars can't be choosers, so he grabbed it and put it away for later. Then he released Ivysaur.
Meanwhile above Aerodactyl was chasing Charizard spitting a [Ancient Power] and trying to send Charizard out of the sky, Charizard did a backflip in the sky to dodge and stomped onto Aerodactyl's back.
Aerodactyl remained in the sky just barely, as it spun around hitting a [Wing attack] into Charizard's side and sending him away.
Charizard managed to shrug it off and spin around and countered with a [Dragon Tail] to its head, then in the same motion he shot another [Flamethrower] into the flying type.
Aerodactyl was big and tanky but it couldn't carelessly take all of Charizard's attacks.
From the side, Ash was holding Ivysaur over his shoulder aiming the flowers towards the flying type and supporting himself with one knee, "You ready to try this."
"Ivy!" Ivysaur nodded
Ash nodded and whistled, signaling for Charizard to move, "Fire!"
Ivysaur's flower shouted out a seed aiming for the flying types, from them Aerodactyl was charging towards Charizard, but at the last moment, he moved down leaving Aerodactyl vulnerable and causing the seed to grow and clasp on its mouth.
This move was called [Drug Seed - model Sleep](Leech seed + Sleep powder), as Aerodactyl was confused by the vines on its mouth a flower bloomed on them and released a powder that went directly into Aerodactyl's nose.
Aerodactyl tried fighting it off but inevitably it fell out of the sky and fell asleep on the ground.
"Wooo!" Ash celebrated as he gave Ivysaur a high five and jumped over to the sleeping dinosaur where Charizard was waiting.
"Good work bud," Ash said, batting Charizard on the stomach, "Keep that up and I might just let you fight in the next Gym."
Charizard exhaled as Ash threw a Pokeball at the sleeping dinosaur, catching it with a *ding*.
At that moment from the bushes, Machoke walked up holding the unconscious bodies of the 3 smaller Aerodactyl.
"*Whistle* Not bad at all, I see you look much more satisfied," Ash said looking at the fighting type and tossing 3 more Pokeballs at the Aerodactyl.
Machoke just gave a toothy smile and a thumbs up, Ash collected all the Pokeballs and returned every one to their Pokeballs.
At that Moment Abra reappeared on his shoulder, "Great timing we just finished here, so think you can get me there?" Ash said as he put the 4 Aerodactyl in his PC for now.
Abra gave a small thumbs up and just popped out of existence with Ash.

{Bill's lighthouse}
Bill was doing some more research, since Ash gave him the idea to contact the other professors he had been busy with quite a few things, sometimes he even left his lighthouse and left Alakazam alone.
Bill was currently pouring himself a cup of Coffee when subtly a voice came from the counter.
"Yo pour me one too!"
"Alright, you want sugar or Milk," Bill asked.
"Sure I just need a pick me up."
"Alright," Bill said as he prepared both coffees when he suddenly realized he lives alone, he turned quickly to see who was there when he saw Ash sitting on the table reading some of the papers he had on it.
"You've been busy," Ash said, holding a letter addressing him from Professor Magnolia.
"Yeah I've had my hands full," Bill said as he placed the coffee down in front of him, "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Oh remember when I gave you that theory that there may be something underground or something."
"I do recall, but what does that have to do with-" Bill said as he realized what that meant
"Yep I found something you're going to want to see, an entire underground world, and get this there are living breathing fossil Pokemon," Ash said
"Well what are we waiting for, I need to see this, how do we get there," Bill said excitedly.
"Simple, I have an Abra," Ash responded as Abra was on the table drinking the Coffee.
"Well, what are we waiting for Ash!? Let's do this," Bill said as he was frantically putting on his gear.
Ash shook his finger in front of Bill, "No don't call me Ash right now," then he swiftly took out and out on a lab coat, "Call me Professor Fraxinus."

So I just released something, due to Webnovles' reset being at 11:00 AM, this is technically been 1 Year since I started writing.
I really didn't think I'd get this far, I thought I'd start writing and no one would care, then I would drop but with the experience, I could go try again with something else, but here we are.
