Pokemon Plus

Typical transfer to another world (pokemon world) with a system. Happens after Ash/Gary era, 30+ years after. Does not follow the original story. Has a different take in the pokemon metaverse. He doesn't have a goal in mind, just trying to enjoy the pokemon world. Maybe later in the series. This is my first time writing something so I apologize if it's a bit confusing, English isn't my first language so, I may have a lot of wrong spellings, grammar issues, and something wrong with my tenses or POV. Disclaimer I don't own Pokemon

Chapter 33

Leon had been attending classes for more than eight months now and the finals were fast approaching. Nothing significant had happened since Fae hatched. If it weren't for Prof. Oak and Mike's video call to greet Leon a happy birthday, Mark and Woody would have never known that today was his birthday. They overheard their conversation and that Prof. Oak and Mike were sorry that they're unable to join Leon to celebrate his birthday because they were currently out of the region for an important agenda.

They were shocked how Leon knew Prof. Oak and Mike as they were pretty famous. They were quite saddened that Leon did not inform them about his birthday in which he replied awkwardly, "Hmm... I honestly forgot about my birthday and just remembered it when they called." Both just laughed at him and promised to have a celebration tonight for Leon.

The three of them have gotten pretty close since. They had gone together and explored Viridian Forest, sparred in both trainer's and pokemon's battles, or fights that involved both the trainer and their pokemon to work together.

They were impressed how strong Leon was, despite the fact that he had started training at an older age, unlike them who started training at a very young age and had abundant resources since they came from a strong family. They had improved a lot after Leon offered them help with their personal skills. It finally made sense why Leon always looked bored during classes. He was already an expert they thought.

Meanwhile, Leon reflected about all of his learning from the academy.

The first year's lessons were all about the Pokemon Association guidelines, the pokemon tactics, and self-defence between humans and between pokemon, personal development and getting to know your future teammates. They were expected to build trust among each other on their first year because the following year would focus mainly on teamwork and team missions.

His training from his past life, as well as the training from the Monarchs, had made him adept in fighting humans and pokemon. He would always be grateful to them. The Monarchs' trainings had massively improved his team play, so his classes didn't have much of an impact.

He had learned that the Pokemon Association and the Monarchs had formed an Alliance to ensure the safety of each region. Outside of a region was pretty brutal, humans only occupied about 10-15% of this world, the rest were filled with wild pokemon and unknown ruins. Some pokemon were even bold enough to invade the regions under the Humans and Monarchs.

Like what Leon had read from the novels and manga in his past life, Normal-Class Ranks to Ultra-Class Ranks were like adventurers and mercenaries. They could get requests from the Pokemon Association, academies, pokemon gyms or from the Monarchs themselves, to receive contributions and money once accomplished. Most of the requests at these levels were taking care of small pokemon skirmishes near the border, or other miscellaneous stuff. The trainers in these levels had access to the resources, which the Pokemon Association had control of, and a decrease in tax to 10%.

When one reached Master-Class Rank, their missions increased in scale, difficulty and rewards. They were mostly tasked to investigate possible pokemon threats outside the region and mediating fights between pokemon nests near the borders. They were exempted from tax and had increased clearance in information and resources in the Pokemon Association.

The Champion-Class Ranks were like the resident guardians of the region. They were tasked with defending it when an invasion happens. Due to this, Pokemon Gyms were created in order to produce a small army of pokemon trainers to defend the city or region. Their benefits and clearance in the Pokemon Association were also increased, to the point where they could get any Monarch or Pseudo-Legendary pokemon they want.

The Pokemon League Champions duties were not disclosed in the class and still remained classified.

Upon learning this new information, most of the freshmen were shocked and their delusions of a safe journey, free of responsibilities shattered. Leon wasn't really affected, all he wanted was to enjoy the pokemon world. This just gave him an additional goal to become stronger to prevent any accidents.
