Leon had asked for cash as a mode payment from the auction. After the elderly woman had given him his earnings, he went to the Viridian Forest and stayed there for some time. This was to shake off anyone who might be tracking him, even though he didn't detect anyone. He was still a bit paranoid. As soon as he felt assured, he asked Toshi to teleport them back to the academy.

Meanwhile in the same room where the elderly woman handed Leon his money, a man clad in black told, "We lost him, Ma'am. He masked his life force with a ghost type pokemon, so we have nothing."

"That's okay. I wasn't expecting anything anyway. Let's leave him alone for now," the elderly woman responded as she sipped her tea.

When Leon arrived in his room, he took out Gastly from his pokeball.

"Gastly, would you like a name? I will name you after the Monarch of Shadows. He controls an undying shadow army and his strength is unparalleled," Leon said. Gastly nodded. Like all other pokemon, he too wanted to be strong.

"From now on, you will be named 'Jin'," Leon said. Jin suddenly merged with Leon's shadow.

Leon felt a familiar feeling and he was already expecting it. That's why he was already lying on his bed. It was exactly the same when he had given Toshi a name. Leon and Jin felt that all of their energies were being drained and they both fell fast asleep.

The next day when Leon woke up, he saw the same message.

Nice! An item box. I wonder what this will evolve into, Leon thought. He was also glad that Jin could access parts of the system. He was now convinced that all his Soul Bound would be able to access it in the future.

Jin, do you hear me? Leon telepathically asked.

"Yes Master, I can hear you in my head." Jin had a huge smile on his face when he heard Leon.

"Good. Don't tell anyone about this, okay? This will be our family's secret." Leon took out Toshi from his pokeball and the Togepi egg as well.

"Toshi, this is Jin. He would be your younger brother now," then continued, "Jin, this is Toshi, your older brother. You two get along, okay?"

He then pointed at the egg and said, "She will be your little sister when she hatches. So be good examples in the future," before he stored it in a poke-incubator (incubator for eggs that looked like a pokeball).

"Yes Master," they both replied telepathically.

Leon left them so they could get to know each other, while he went to prepare for the academy.

"Big brother…" Jin slowly approached Toshi, "Can we play catch?" he asked bashfully, not knowing if Toshi would react differently.

When he was born in the forest, he was all alone. He tried to approach other pokemon and asked them to play but they all rejected him and tried to kill him. When Leon asked if he wanted to become part of his family, Jin was delighted.

Toshi transformed into a Haunter, then created a shadow ball. "Sure thing, little bro," Toshi smiled.

Both of them played catch with shadow ball. Jin was glad that he wasn't alone anymore. They both continued playing until it was time to go to the academy.
