I'm also after the third gym badge, I will try to train my aura as it's something versatile that I need to work on. With its potential I could just 1v1 Pokemon myself or be able to do super human things, not like everyone else isn't doing that already, but I'll have an advantage over dangerous situations and can escape.

----

*The next day*

It's currently the morning right now and I have finished my normal routine of preparing myself for the day.

It's now time for me to head out to Vermillion City and get the third gym badge.

My team's progress so far has been amazing.

Ivysaur and Onix are currently level 26 after the 4x training with Clefairy, while the others have hit the level 24-22 depending on when they joined the team.

The main Pokemon I will be using to beat Lt. Surge will be Crystal Onix.

He's trained a lot since I've captured him and has made multiple improvements to his stats. The method Brock has told me was extremely useful as his parameters for his endurance and strength stats have changed a lot.

[Species: Crystal Onix (The crystal snake Pokemon)

Intermediate Tier (lvl 26)

Gender: Male

Type: Rock/Ground

Ability: Rock head (The said Pokemon doesn't take any recoil damage), Intimidate (When sent out it lowers the opposing Pokemons will/physical attack without the opposing Pokemon knowing)

Basic Information: This Onix, for some reason became crystalised when it was born thus giving it a water immunity but giving it a fire type weakness. It's well trained and has seemed to have used a method to harden its body way above the average Onix. It's 0.9 times the size than the average Onix in the wild. It seems to be in its baby phase.]

__

Normally an Onix at this level would only have low to mid level grade D stats, but because of the method Brock has told me, Onix has improved Endurance, Strength and Core Potency into a C grade!

He has practically mastered almost all his moves and has been practising his aim with his moves more often because of me renting that training ground. So at this level, Onix shouldn't have any problems winning me the gym badge, but there are still some variables that could change.

I'm still not sure which Pokemon Lt. Surge will use for my battle, as it's never certain what Pokemon a gym leader will use. I can still assume it will be between a Raichu, Magnemite and Voltorb though.

Any of these Pokemon are still easy pickings for Onix though.

The only problem that might occur would be Voltorb, because if the match ends up becoming a draw because of self-destruct, the gym leader can decide if you win or not.

Which will most likely be a big no as Lt. Surge's job is to beat trainers without mercy. The league gave him this job to scout out future prospects which makes sense, but he didn't need to beat up that kids Rattata badly man.

I'm still confident in preventing it though, as I can see a Pokemon's move pool.

Picking up my Silph co bag, I make my way outside of the Pokemon centre and start to head towards the teleport guy.

The guys Alakazam must be extremely strong to teleport from such far distances. It obviously is a far cry from Professor Oak's one but the Alakazam is at least level 90+, which is honestly strong enough to make him a gym leader.

That's if he has a team of four or six though as just having one strong pokemon will not do you any favours.

Walking past the busy street, I start to take in the scenery as I probably won't be visiting this city again in a while as there isn't anything important here that I will need to visit for.

While walking past some of the benches, I could hear some kids talking.

"Blaster Blade goes for your vanguard!" A kid shouts as he pulls a critical trigger, making the kid opposite to him timidly shuffle around

"Trigger check, heal trigger! Second check, heal again!" The other kid shouts surprised

Seeing this, I started to smile. Vanguard was a game I was pretty invested in as a kid if you don't include Yu-gi-oh and Buddy fight.

"Damn, two heal triggers. You have some kind of protection over yourself!"

Not wanting to listen to more, I make my way into a fairly luxurious building with a modern entrance.

Making my way to the front desk, I start to book my next teleport to Vermillion City.

While I'm paying, I feel a vibration in my left pocket.

"Thank you for your patronage sir. Please take a seat over to your left!" the woman says cheerfully pointing in the direction of the seats

Nodding, I proceed to sit down and pull out my phone.

Cynthia: -Come over to Unova already! Your so slow at getting gym badges~-

My eye brows twitching at the comment, I start to type back.

C. Green: -I'm gonna battle the third gym in a few hours, you have to wait woman-

Cynthia: -You owe me some ice cream when you get over here. We still haven't seen each other since we were kids. You visited my match for champion without me knowing and later on, your sister revealed to me that you were there and didn't say hi.-

'My sister ratted me out!?' I groan inwardly

C. Green: -Alright i'll buy you all the ice cream you want and speaking about Unova, didn't you tell me you signed us up for an intermediate doubles tournament in a weeks time?-

Cynthia: -Yeah I did, my Riolu needs some more experience battling as he's new to the team!-

After a few more back and forths between me and Cynthia, I end the conversation and head over to a familiar guy with an Alakazam next to him.

"Vermillion City?" He asks

"Yeah, near the gym if possible." I respond

The man nodding looks at his Alakazam as psychic energy starts to surround me.

My vision blacks out for a split moment, with it soon after coming back as my surroundings have completely changed. Looking around I spot a Pokemon centre to my left with a trainer running towards the entrance with a Pidgeotto.

"Pidgetto, just hang in there." The kid says in a rush as he sprints towards the entrance to the Pokecentre.

Looking at the kid, I start to frown.

I just don't understand some trainers at times, I mean the kid brought a flying type to the one electric type gym in the whole region. Well, his circumstances are different though, but I would at least remember a typing disadvantage. It's public knowledge that flying is weak to electric.

The only thing not public information yet are fairy types and maybe ghosts as you can't really guess their weaknesses.
