After a few more seconds, all the accumulated energy from the resources has finally been absorbed by the newly evolved Ivysaur.

"Ivysaur!"

*The next day*

Yesterday was quite eventful.

My starter finally got to evolve after the gym battle with Brock. Right after that I had some dinner with Brock as he had closed the gym.

Hanging out with his siblings was quite fun and hilarious, you could see all the hard work and care Brock does for his nine siblings when he takes care of them. He always answers to their needs and supports them in all their hobbies.

The youngest of the siblings Tōko was a very enthusiastic girl with the hobby of knitting yarn and making dolls. It was very heart warming to see Brock help her and give tips while she tried her best to make a scarf for him.

The chat I had with Brock mostly included how to raise Pokemon and how to train an Onix. I gave him some decently expensive Pokeblock grade recipes as he shared some great tips with me to train rock, ground types and other stuff.

He also told me a tip usually told/ known to higher level rock/ground trainers which I wrote down on my notes.

This tip was to get my Ground/Rock type to constantly "hurt" itself by banging its body with tough surfaces. You would think this would damage the Pokemon permanently but no.

If a Pokemon does this, it usually recovers and makes its body tougher adapting to all the abuse it's putting itself through making its body endurance sky rocket in strength.

It's not suggested to do everyday as it may actually damage your Pokemon permanently, if done too much. But if pulled off correctly will speed up their endurance training by a big margin.

I'm not sure if it will help my Crystal Onix if he does this training but I can make him try it for a bit to see if it works with his type of Crystal. I ended up showing Brock my Onix which excited him quite a bit and made his siblings have a sugar rush and start climbing the guy.

I thought Onix would be mad but he ended up blushing? I don't know how but the guy is shy so I will leave it as it is as I don't want to deal with that.

Right now I'm currently at Mt. Moon in search of my next team member.

Clefairy!

I've just noticed on my Pokedex that there is an option to remove the six Pokemon limit. I'm not sure if Ash ever turned it off but I'm able to remove it which I did.

After walking through the narrow rocky halls with Monferno for a few hours, I suddenly felt a ghostly presence in the walls charging up energy.

"Monferno, flamethrower at the dark patch!" I shout running to the side in case Monferno misses.

Monferno quickly reacts using a flamethrower at the same time the move dark pulse gets blasted out of the black patch in the wall creating a small blast.

The dark patch removing itself from the wall, manifests itself in front of Monferno.

Seeing this, I started to scan the unknown Pokemon.

A red Duskull!

It's quite small in stature, but that doesn't matter too much right now. It's the perfect Pokemon to add to my team!

Recalling Monferno back to my side, I toss out a Pokeball creating a red beam in front of the now on guard Duskull.

"Growlithe!" Growlithe growls intimidating Duskull.

Growlithe noticing that I'm not giving any commands, starts to assume that hes got this battle all to himself starts with an ember.

Duskull quickly catches on to the attack dodges and proceeds to use a move sinking into the ground confusing Growlithe.

A few seconds after, Duskull pops out of the ground and quickly strikes Growlithe with a shadow sneak sending it a few steps back with a few injuries.

Responding to this attack Growlithe uses a fire fang and rushes up to the Duskull. Fire starts to erupt the canines of Growlithe he starts to charge at Duskull, landing a direct hit on its head making it panic.

Duskull now panicking, stares at Growlithe with grey eyes somehow cancelling the fire fang making Growlithe take a few steps back.

Before Duskull can respond though, right after this Growlithe hurriedly uses bite to make the Duskull faint.

"Stop Growlithe!" I shout seeing the knocked out form of a red Duskull at the floor.

Now with the small red Duskull defenceless, I walk up to it with a Moon ball and tap its head with it.

DING!

I've just realised how expensive different types of Pokeballs are. Like an ultra ball is something an extremely rich family can only have a few of which surprised me. I got a lot of these because of my parents buying these directly from the person who makes it.

This makes the prices way cheaper and less difficult to obtain.

After a few back and forth conversations with Cynthia, I was told that I should switch my Pokemon with different Pokeballs which at least somewhat correlate with them.

Ivysaur got a Park ball (Green version).

Totodile got a Lake ball.

Crystal Onix got a Dusk ball

Growlithe got a Cherish ball

While Monferno and Gabite got Premier balls.

Now with the caught Duskull I proceed to retrieve Growlithe into his Pokeball and bring out some Pokeblocks healthy to all Pokemon types to give to Duskull.

This little guy will probably be one of my strongest Pokemon on my team.

Reason?

I will be spending a lot if not most of my resources helping this guy get stronger. He will be my protector against psychic types and anyone who wants to harm me outside of battle.

He might not be a dark type but with his moves like curse and hex he can cancel psychic Pokemons influence on me making it impossible to look into my mind or control me. This was something cool my dad taught me about ghost types as he got curious one day and found this out.

So I'm probably gonna focus on Duskull the most out of all my Pokemon as he will be in charge of keeping my safety most of the time outside of battle which is a top priority.

I'm not naive enough to think everything will be alright without my Pokemon outside protecting me, so having a Duskull is a really great encounter.

I actually have an expensive item which can hide the presence and eyes of a ghost Pokemon on your body. It was a gift from my mother when I hit the age of 10 for my Pokemon journey incase I wanted a ghost Pokemon to protect me.

(He got the sleeve on his birthday which is not the same day he went out as a trainer which explains why he didn't get anything when he left in the morning in the earlier chapters. Just saying to clear any confusion!)

It's called a ghost sleeve. It's in the name, it's a sleeve which can be used to hide a ghost type.

I'm not sure how it works as it would be too complicated for my noob brain to process, so I just went with the flow with the new sleeve drip.

Now releasing the Duskull, I start to use aura speech calming it down from its hungered state feeding it some Pokeblocks.

Obviously he will need more nutrients than this but this is the best I can do for now as I don't want to camp out on Mt. Moon and need to get a move on to catch a Clefairy and get my ass out of here.
