"Goldeen!"
Finding this Pokemon more interesting than the last one, I started to scan it.
----
"Croconaw, get in the water and chase it with bite"
Croconaw hearing this jumps into the pool and starts to make its way to Goldeen like it's hunting a prey.
"Goldeen blend in with the water!"
Goldeen using its ability to try to escape Croconaw starts to blend in with the water. Goldeens body just before getting attacked started to look translucent and suddenly disappeared just before Croconaw could bite it.
"Horn Attack Goldeen!"
"Let it hit you and grab it Croconaw."
It's really amusing to think that they believe this will actually help them even get closer to a win. I mean, their Pokemon are weaker than the Elekid I found in the wild. I guess they don't focus on Pokemon battles but this a little much.
I really pity their father, he might of gone to go get milk seeing that his fourth child was a girl.
Goldeen using the water to its advantage, quickly makes its way to Croconaw's blind spot and slams into it.
"Croconaw!"
Croconaw shouts in irritation as it uses its superior stats to grab Goldeen's fins on instinct. Not giving it a chance to escape, Croconaw quickly uses an ice fang.
Croconaw channeling ice to its fangs clamps down on the Goldeen twice before throwing it to the little piece of land on the opposing side of the pool.
The opponent quickly returns their Pokemon to their Pokeball and timidly goes back to her sisters as another one starts to walk up to the podium with a Pokeball in hand.
The now identified Violet proceeds to send out her Pokemon and the last one I need to defeat for the badge.
"Shellder!"
A Shellder is not the expected Pokemon I thought she would send out. I thought that she uses a Dewgong but I guess I was wrong.
Not wasting anymore time I use my scan for the last time this battle.

"Croconaw, quickly finish this match with bite!" I shout
"Shellder, use ice shard!" Violet responds
Croconaw, quickly making its way towards Shellder through the water is able to dodge most of the ice shards until it pops back out to attack.
Shellder now exhausted, keeps on channeling ice energy and keeps making ice shards to save itself. Croconaw tanking two direct ice shards quickly uses a bite constantly bombarding the poor Shellder.
After a few more bites the Shellder wasn't able to do anything else as Croconaw kicks it off the raft as the Shellder faints and floats up to the surface.
'Damn the disrespect Croconaw.'
The referee quickly realising that Shellder was finally knocked out after the little guy persisted through a few bites finally fainted.
"Winner, Croconaw! Meaning that the winner of this match goes to Colson Green from Pallet Town!" The referee shouts getting the crowd to start cheering after that one sided beating.
Some of the audience members were disappointed with the match but it wasn't like they were there for the battles anyways.
Making my way out of the arena after retrieving my Croconaw, I go to the front desk to receive my Cascade badge and start making my way to the Pokecentre to heal Croconaw.
I'm going to be spending at least a week here at Cerulean City to first of all train my Pokemon and to relax a bit. Pokemon battling isn't everything in this world and there are many things that I'm able to do.
I've decided to make a card game called Vanguard. I will only release three clans at once and probably wait a while till it gets popular.
Also more news is that I got another sponsored trainer, her name is Anabel. If you don't remember who she is then you do not remember the battle frontier buddy.
She is one of the frontier brains in the games and in the anime, her potential in the anime was quite decent. In the games is where she really shined, so hopefully the situation is like Wally's and she will start to shine as a trainer as soon as possible.
Another trainer my company decided to sponsor is an unknown trainer in the Jhoto region a native from Goldenrod City. His name is William and his starter is currently Cyndaquil, he did quite well in his area academy in terms of theoretical knowledge and battling instinct.
He mostly got the sponsor because of having connections to some of the people that work for my company but I don't mind. A promising trainer is still a promising trainer.
After getting my Croconaw healed I first of all went to one of the many parks in Cerulean City and had a picnic with my Pokemon feeding them a lot of Pokemon food and their daily elemental resources.
Resources of the rank F, E and D are quite cheap making the prospect of being a trainer really tempting. It's the main reason why it isn't common to see rich kids in league battles as other trainers even with a low amount of resources and money can still get their Pokemon to a high level as long as they train their Pokemon diligently.
This is something I just learned at the academy and it was the Pokemon gym circuit isn't the only way to become a strong trainer.
Which in hindsight was pretty obvious but I never really looked into it.
There's a second gym circuit only available to people who have eight official gym badges or have won the league tournament at the end of the season.
Now you would think that it would be easy for someone to get all eight gym badges right?
Wrong~
The total number of people who qualify for this gym circuit is in the double digits.
We can't really depend on the anime much because the only reason Ash got the badge was because Giovanni stoppedd being the leader for a short period of time, which coincidentally was the same time Ash challenged the gym.
No one has truly beat Giovanni in an all out Pokemon battle before though besides a few notable times.
In the second gym circuit you had to face a gym leaders full team without any restraint which is terrifying. Imagine battling the former Cerulean City Gym Leader on a six-on-six.
That guy was already Champion tier!
The reason for this second gym circuit?
To get a chance to challenge the Elite four of the region to become Champion, which is extremely difficult.
I might ask Cynthia for tips at this point.
I mean how did she beat all of them in the span of two years? Granted two years is like a lot of time, it's still a great feat which wont be beaten anytime soon.
I'm not sure if I can do it in that lot of time and that's assuming I can beat all the gym leaders rematch battles and the Elite Four which is an almost impossible feat.
I feel so bad for the Unova challengers.
Unova in my opinion is the undisputed region with the hardest elite four to beat according to the games, but god damn are the elite fours team pure bull.
Especially in Black and White 2 where they get another team upgrade and an overpowered champion in the form of a dragon princess.
This world isn't based on the games but the existence of Wally has made me think that they still hold some kind of meaning to the regions they are apart off.
After my Pokemon finished their meals, I went around the City and just enjoyed myself. Played some arcade games, battled a few people and ate a lot of amazing food.
Right after my little eating spree it started to get dark outside so I went back to the Pokecentre and slept.
