Pokemon: Pallet Town's Genius

A 17 year old guy called Colson from Earth gets a second chance at life, but in a completely different world with different customs and new creatures. Lets see what his journey will bring us and what he will achieve as the twin of Green in Pallet Town ______________________________ This fanfic is made by me on this account. If seen anywhere else, it's a copy and paste. Colson will not limit himself to the gyms in Kanto and will join another league! But you will have to find out your self :) Pokemon is owned by Pokemon co, and the only thing I own are the MC and my OCs. Im a busy boy so don't expect a stable upload schedule but I will try my best to upload a few chapters a week. Also no colour or talent system. This story will be based on the anime with a sprinkle of the games and a pinch of au. Things like ways of evolving, the age of some characters, move mechanics, and what Pokemon can mega will be different. Comment if I made a grammar mistake as it's my first time writing any stories outside of the quick narratives I wrote at school.

"I just caught him at Mt. Moon and just started to give him all the food he wants." I reply.

After a little more chatting, the problem was forgotten as she healed up my Pokemon as I went to my booked room and proceeded to get cosy and doze off,

----

Waking up to a sunny morning, I groggily woke up and prepared myself mentally for the three sisters I'm about to battle today.

The trainers I'm talking about are the Cerulean City Gym Leaders.

They are a weird bunch.

They are one of those gyms who give the mantle of gym leader to their kids. It isn't exactly a bad thing but because of this the standards of their gym were apparently pretty bad, making it easy to win the gym badge.

Many instances of this can be shown in the anime where the sisters just wanted to give Ash the badge without a battle.

But because I'm not slow at travelling with my trusty teleport, I should be required to battle them. I'm not sure if the battle will be easy or hard but I can't underestimate them at least.

Making my way out of the booked room I make my way to Nurse Joy to get my healed Pokemon back.

"Hello Nurse Joy, I'm here to collect my Pokemon!" I say with joy

Nurse Joy giggling proceeds to go get my Pokemon and give me their Pokeballs. After that little interaction I started to walk around the City, not before releasing Duskull into my shadow though.

I quickly book sometime in the afternoon for gym battle so there wont be any inconveniences when arriving there later on in the day.

There are many things you can do at Cerulean City, it's mostly known for producing some of the strongest water type trainers in kanto like one of the currently elite four trainers Lorelei.

Of course she brands herself as an ice trainer but lets be honest, she is basically a fully water type trainer.

Other trainers like William Waterflower a true water type genius have made quite the impact when he was an active trainer. He isn't only the father of our favourite Waterflower but is also one of the strongest water type trainers in the world.

I researched about him a bit and found out that he got second place in the world coronation series in the Unova region showing off his prowess. This practically confirmed that he was Champion level tier in terms of Pokemon battling.

But he made the smart decision instead of becoming a champion.

Becoming a gym leader.

The short explanation for this is that he would get more influence, riches and power. It's not to say that being a champion doesn't give you those things either, but you would get less opportunities to get more powerful as a trainer and make more money.

From what Professor Oak has told me to his little knowledge as a Champion because of his quick retirement from the mantle, he says that it's just you taking care of the whole region. Which takes up your time quite a bit.

Maybe that's why in games the champions practically congratulated you when you won the battle against you.

Is that why Steven Stone gave the champion title to Wallce as he likes the attention?

Well that doesn't matter too much, I need to focus on my main goal today.

The Cerulean gym and getting Duskull to kill some wild Pokemon. I'm probably gonna do the latter first as it's the easiest thing to do at this point in time. But now that I'm thinking about it, it might be faster to just walk into the gym and beat the sisters in a battle faster.

Shaking my head, I proceed to make my way to the route on the way to Vermillion city.

I stopped at somewhere a decent distance from Cerulean but still easily be able to walk back in about 10 minutes and started to let out all of my Pokemon to train them in wild battles.

I'd let them wonder off in two groups with each one containing Monferno or Gabite.

They would fight wild Pokemon and gain experience with being predators and eating other Pokemon. They will eventually get used to this as my Monferno and Gabite will help and protect them incase of serious danger.

So while the two groups separated, I kept Duskull with me to kill some wild Pokemon by himself. While he absorbs the life force of wild Pokemon he defeats I'm gonna feed him some ghost Pokeblocks and some ghost gems.

This will help boost his stats quite a bit.

I'm not sure how to train a ghost type effectively but giving the guy more resources and wild battle experience can never be a bad thing.

The first Pokemon Duskull and I encountered were two Rattatas. They were obviously quite weak and couldn't damage Duskull at all.

But they didn't know that, so Duskull took advantage of that and quickly finished them off.

Duskull first baited both of them close before launching a dark pulse knocking one out, then chasing the other and doing the same as it ran.

Now with both Rattatas bodies in front of Duskull I started to take out my Pokeblocks and ghost gems.

I was quite interested in seeing how Duskull took life energy from wild Pokemon so I curiously watched.

Duskull getting excited started to do his thing and started to steal the two Rattatas life energy.

It was quite the confusing and disgusting sight. Duskull went up to the two bodies and suddenly greyish green started to form like a wind vacum and started to suck up the energies of the Rattatas making them lose colour.

It's like a dementors kiss from Harry Potter but with a little mix of green which scared the living hell out of me.

Duskull enjoying the meal quickly ate up the Pokeblocks and gems.

Repeating this process a few more times with some Pidgeys and Ekans I decided to stop and head back to camp which wasn't too far at this point of time.

But before we could walk even a few more steps towards camp a thunderbolt suddenly hits Duskull.

"Duskull!" Duskull shouts in pain.

Quickly regaining myself I turn to look at the little intruder.

'This things stats are on drugs damnit!' I scream inside my head.

Not wanting to be used as electric fuel, I start to tell Duskull to retaliate with Dark Pulse as the Elekid uses another thunderbolt trying to get another hit in.

The two pulses of energy quickly closing in on each other make an impact creating a dust cloud.

"Duskull, Shadow Sneak"

Duskull complying, hurriedly sinks into the ground making its way towards the Elekid at a decent pace at his level.

Elekid, still with his vision being covered by the dust cloud starts to rampage around using an unknown move.

Duskull after a few more seconds gets behind Elekid, not before getting fist through its body as Elekid tries to attack it seeing Duskull. The move obviously not effective passes through Elekids body as it gets hit with a Shadow Sneak.

The Elekid not giving up, quickly uses both of his hands to do a cross chop just to hit air again.

Duskull not wasting the opportunity uses a dark pulse, instantly connecting and sending Elekid flying towards a tree making an impact.

Seeing this I sigh to myself and throw an ultra at it.
