20 Chapter 20

While I was talking with the two kids along with Liz, the old man appeared with a small box in his hand.
"Here is your gym emblem kid. Always wear it in your clothes to let others know how much of a great trainer you are. You're also promoted into a beginner trainer in the region. You have to come back here after two days though, and get your ID back. Your ID needs to be changed with a different status." The old man said. The gym emblem has a hand that's formed in a knuckle design, and is colored brown. It looks plain and simple but it looks like it's made of sturdy metal. I then pinned it on my clothes, and then gave my ID card to the old man.
"Can you explain to me what are the benefits of being an beginner trainer, sir?" I asked politely since I don't want to anger this old man. Better to have few enemies than having many.
"Well, you will be able to use the pokemon center to heal your pokemon freely, and also you can get a free stay in those 1 star inns. You're also now be able to take on task from the pokemon center. Lastly, you'll get a 5 percent discount at the poke mart. That's it but that is already plentiful for a young kid like you." The old man explained.
"I have one more question, sir. Is there a method for me to let my pokemon learn new moves fast?" I asked since this is the thing that I really want to know.
"Of course, you just have to go into the poke mart, and you'll see a person there wearing green clothes. Those people are called move tutors, and they teach pokemon moves which are normally aren't learned by a pokemon. However their services are very pricey, and I won't recommend getting one yet. Not only that but they'll also have to take your pokemon for a day or two to teach it one single move." The old man answered.
"Thank you for the information, sir." I replied, and then I and Liz get out of the pokemon gym after saying goodbye to them.
We then went to the pokemon center to heal my pokemon for free. I have to take advantage of what's free, right? After an hour, beedrill and zubat came out with Nurse Joy. They both look great, and not a single speck of injury can be seen on them.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy." I said, and I left with Liz again. This time, we went to the museum since I wanted to look around.
A few minutes of walk, and we arrived at the entrance of the museum. We went inside, and found out that we needed to pay for 10 kanto dollars each. We're also ordered to keep our pokemon inside the pokeball since they might damage the items inside.
We followed the instructions given to us, and soon we were let inside.
Walking at the museum wasn't much of a gain since I only saw a few fossils, and found many paintings of killers. I mean heroes of my region but are still technically great killers by the other regions.
Anyways, I returned to the inn afterwards. I then found out that this was a 1 star inn so I used my privilege of getting free stays with my status as a beginner trainer. Though I still have to pay for Liz's stay. What a leecher! I can again see how much of a baggage she is than a help. I'm just kidding though since I know she's been a great help, and she'll be more valuable if she's not a spy.
Sigh, why did I end up with a companion that may be a spy from the clan. I have to really get this torn on my side cured, or I'll be always minding my actions beside her.

The next two days, we went around the city and looked around while waiting for my ID card to finish in it's upgrade.
Of course, I also used that time to train my pokemon along with the Liz's pidgey. The system also upgraded my perk Pokemon Trainer (Rookie) into Pokemon Trainer (Beginner), it increased the 5 percent increment into 10 percent.
I also looked at the task in the pokemon center, and found no suitable task for my current capabilities. The task in there are more like catching strong pokemon, or some extremely rare pokemon which is beyond my current abilities. Some requires rare items like evolution stones, rare berries, rare plants, and so on. When you complete the task, you'll get money in return.
For the two days I was walking around the city, I was rewarded something which I found interesting, and it is a black market. In the black market, you can sell any kind of pokemon, and the price will depend on how much high the quality the pokemon has, and how much strong it is.
It also sells some goods which can help pokemon grow stronger. They have varying prices though. Some of the items have a higher price compared to it's market value while some has lower prices.
You might be thinking how I found this place, right? Well I didn't found it but Liz did. That's right, the girl did something incredible again. Apparently, Liz has great sense of hearing, and heard one of the guys in the inn where we are staying talking about a black market. Liz then followed that guy when it was dark quietly with her skills, and then found the place of the black market. She did this because she thinks that finding this place will help me.
This made me fear the skills of my maid more. This maid has more talent appearing, the more I know her better. I must be careful, or else I'll might be killed without knowing why. I wish I can just kill her with my pokemon but I can't. I can't risk being hated by the clan by killing their spy.
I'm convinced that she really is a spy, and I want her to be on my side. A talented person like this is a valuable ally. I'll think of a way to get this girl to be my subordinate but if I can't, I'll just have to dispose her. I can't have an enemy that has this kind of talent.
Currently, we're walking to the pokemon gym to get my new updated ID card. We arrived at the place, and soon I met up with the old man Jean, Karl, and Kole.
