Chapter 12: Group Attack (2)
(A/N: This is a somewhat short chapter cause school is being a bitch)

"Oh, shit!"
I immediately took out two pokéballs and threw them out in the air, summoning two familiar Pokemon on the battlefield.
"Qwilfish, Voltorb... use Water Pulse and Electro Ball!"
The instant that both Qwilfish and Hisuian Voltorb appeared, they immediately used their moves toward the incoming Hisuian Sneasels without hesitation.
- Voltoorb!
- Qwilfish!
I watched as Qwilfish spewed out a pulsing blast of water while Voltorb released a ball of thunder and threw it straight toward the enemies.
And it was then, that I saw the two moves combined in mid-air, forming a synergy between each other as the pulses of water wrapped around the electro ball.
"...!?"
What the hell?
I didn't know my Qwilfish and Voltorb could do this.
And it seems that I wasn't the only one who was stunned as the three Hisuian Sneasel flinched as well from the unexpected combination of the two moves.
I guess, they haven't seen something like this before, huh...
Well, they are about to experience the power of it.
Boom!
I watched as the combination attack landed on them, creating a medium-sized explosion from the impact as dirt and smoke blasted everywhere which made my eyes squint.
And it was then that three familiar bells chimed in...

But I only gave it a side eye before ignoring it and continued to focus on the battle instead.
I mean, I already knew they were weaker than my Honedge which is why I didn't bother to worry too much about their levels.
In fact, I was more awed at the beautiful combination of the two moves and the destructiveness of its power.
And it was then, that I saw a figure fly out of the cloud of smoke before landing on the ground and instantly darting toward my Qwilfish.
『Quick Attack』
"...!"
The Hisuian Sneasel moved so fast that by the time the warning system showed up, it had already arrived in front of my Qwilfish.
"Shit... use Minimize!"
I immediately shouted at my Qwilfish as he was about to use the move but sadly, the Hisuian Sneasel outsped him and attacked first.
- Qwilfish?!
I clenched my fist quietly as I listened to my Qwilfish's cry of pain and as if the Hisuian Sneasel hadn't had enough, it instantly followed up with another move.
『Brick Break』
With a single swift chop from the Hisuian Sneasel, my Qwilfish was pushed back a few meters and rolled before stopping as he lay there weakly.
"What?!"
Everything happened so fast that in the blink of an eye, my Qwilfish was already on the ground.
And once again, I could see the Hisuian Sneasel following up with another move when my Voltorb came in clutch and rammed the Sneasel with his body which hindered it from attacking.
- Sneasel??
But that wasn't the only thing that happened as my Voltorb's ability, static kicked in which has a 30% chance of paralyzing a Pokemon through physical contact.
"Yes! Voltorb, use Swift"
Hearing my words, Voltorb dished out multiple star-shaped rays as they rapidly bombarded the Hisuian Sneasel everywhere.
- Sneasel!?
I could hear the Hisuian Sneasel's constant cry of pain before the attack stopped and the Pokemon just stood there in silence, staring at us with an incredulous expression.
And I was about to finish it off with another move when its eyes suddenly rolled back and fell to the ground as its eyes twirled into a spiral.
[Your Voltorb (Hisuian) has gained Experience Points!]
[Your Qwilfish (Hisuian) has gained Experience Points!]
"Hah..."
I heaved a sigh of relief before walking up toward my Qwilfish and taking out a potion, pouring it down on its mouth as its injuries slowly healed.
Only after that, did I see my Honedge appear abruptly right in front of me with a worried look in his eyes.
- Shing! Shing!
"I'm fine, buddy"
It was then, that the smoke cloud from the explosion earlier faded as I could finally discover the two other Hisuian Sneasel's status.
"Hm?"
I squinted my eyes, focusing them as I saw the two standing still with a ferocious look in their eyes.
My muscles tensed up, preparing for another battle before noticing that the two hadn't moved a single finger at all.
It was then, that I realized that they were too injured to even move.
"Ah..."
These two must have blocked the synergy attack head-on, ensuring the other one would survive.
It was the only logical explanation I could think of after seeing the other Sneasel looking fine and dandy, even going so far as to attack my Qwilfish.
And if they really did perform as my assumptions were, then...
I highly admire them for that, the guts to be able to not hesitate to stand in the face of overwhelming power is something that I will always respect.
If this were in the game then, they'd only be left with a single health point, just enough to barely hang on to their consciousness.
"..."
But as much as I admire them, I'll still have to finish them off in the end as I need those experience points.
"Honedge, go easy on them..."

I watched as my Honedge gave the softest tackle he could do and boop them, knocking them out instantly.

"Nice"
And as I was lost in my celebration, a sudden blast of wind hit me as I flew back a few meters and fell on my butt.
"Keuk?!"
Both my Qwilfish and Voltorb came up and helped me, looking worried as Voltorb rubbed his head on my arm which was really cute to me.
But I was more concerned about my Honedge who was glowing and was being enclosed by a dark storm of hurricane as lightning crackles from time to time within the swirling sharp winds.
"...!"
I knew what this phenomenon was...
It's the evolution process of a Hisuian Pokemon or anyone within this era.
And compared to the future where Pokemon just glowed and became their evolution form instantly.
This one has a bit of a performance to show and is quite ferocious as well...
I for one, prefer this kind of evolution process as it shows how much powerful a Pokemon will be once it fully evolves.
The dark harsh wind echoed through the air, warning of the danger within and the crackles of lightning which brought pressure to the surroundings.
It's as if a ferocious being is about to be unleashed...
That is what I perceive from seeing it at least, I could also be wrong and this is all just a gimmick to make the evolution feel unique which I highly believe to be the case.
But I'm banking more on mine instead...

I closed my eyes for a brief moment due to the gust of wind hitting my entire face which did annoy me for a bit, to be honest before opening them and gaping at the new Honedge or should I say...
