Chapter 27: Misty Meets Her Match

(Today, Mew and her friends are on a ferry to Trovita Island.)

(so Mew can challenge the gym and earn her third badge.)

(The group ride on the ferry as they see the wind ocean.)

(As they draw closer to the island, they see the island is surrounded by whirlpools and huge spiked rocks.)

Tomo: "What are those spikey thing?"

(Tomo asks.)

Tracey: "They're rocks that formed millions of years when Trovita Island rose up out of the ocean."

(Tracey answers.)

Tomo: "Wow!"

(Tomo says, amazed.)

Misty: "Wonder what the Trovita Island gym leader's like, Mew."

(Misty replies.)

Mew: "I'm not sure, but I'll have to be prepared because who knows who the Gym Leader is and the kind of challenges I have to face."

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You're right about that."

(Misty says.)

(Suddenly, Pikachu spots something in the water and calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pika!" (We've got trouble!)

(Suddenly, everyone soon sees a little girl with burgundy hair and a yellow shirt along with a Seel are caught in the strong current.)

(The girl cries for help.)

The girl: "Help! Please somebody! Help me!"

Mew: "That little girl's in trouble!"

(Mew says, shocked.)

Tracey: "She's drowning!"

(Tracey calls out.)

Misty: "We have to do something fast!"

(Misty says.)

(The girl continues to cry out.)

The girl: "Hurry! Please help! Somebody help!"

(Seel tries to swim them away, but the current is too strong.)

(The little girl continues to cry out.)

The girl: "Somebody! Please get my brother!"

(and the whirlpool swallows both her and Seel.)

(Meanwhile, a boy around the same age as Misty, runs to the cliff as he calls out.)

The boy: "Mahri! Mahri, where are you?!"

(The boy is wearing dark clothes with a light vest.)

(He has a darker red color than the girl.)

(The boy looks out with his binocular to see the ferry that has come to a stop.)

(He sees Misty call out to her Staryu and she dives into the water.)

(Misty says to her Staryu.)

Misty: "Come on, Staryu, let's go!"

(Staryu and Misty soon dive into the water to search for the little girl.)

(Lucky, they're able to find them right away, and Misty rescues the girl and the Seel.)

(Then rises up the surface.)

(Then Mew arrives on Lapras with Pikachu and Eevee.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Misty! Bring her over here!"

Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (This way!)

(Pikachu calls out.)

(Eevee calls out.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Hurry!)

Misty: "Staryu, let's get them both over to Lapras!"

(Misty says to Staryu.)

(The boy on the island along with others hurry along the cliff as the boy observes the whole thing.)

(He sees Misty help Mew get the little girl and Seel on Lapras.)

(Then Misty hugs her Staryu with a smile.)

(Impressed by Misty'saction, the boy smiles and says.)

the boy: "She's great."

(While riding on Lapras the rest of the way to Trovita Island.)

(Mew and the others are being spied on by Team Rocket.)

(Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Aha! I've spotted the twerps. Full speed ahead."

James and Meowth: "Aye-aye, sir!"

(James and Meowth say.)

(James and Meowth begin to pedal harder, but Jessie notices something off.)

(Jessie turns to the boys.)

Jessie: "We're not moving. Pedal faster."

James: "Something's wrong."

(James says.)

(Then Meowth groans worried.)

Meowth: "I hope it's not a…"

(And then, the submarine gets pulled away by the current and towards the whirlpool.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Whirlpool!"

(The whirlpool pulls them in and the submarine begins to spin.)

(Back on the surface, Mew and the others are approaching Torvita Island, as well as the ferry boat.)

(Turns out, the little girl's name is Mahri.)

Mew: "That was a close call,"

(Mew says in relief.)

(Then asks, Mahri.)

Mew:: "What were you doing out there?"

Mahri: "I was swimming with Seel near the beach, but the ocean pulled us out."

(Mahri answers.)

Misty: "You have to be careful in the ocean. The currents can be dangerous, so always make sure you swim with other people around. Okay?"

(Misty says.)

(Mahri nods her head.)

(Then Misty winks.)

Misty: "And Seel."

(As Lapras and the ship arrive at the pier the boy and his friends hurry over to see the little girl.)

(The boy calls out.)

The boy: "Hey!"

Another boy: "There she is!"

(Another boy says.)

third girl: "She's okay!"

(the third girl says.)

(Soon, Lapras and the boy come to a stop, and Mew places Maria on the pier.)

(The young man calls out.)

young man: "Mahri!"

(Both the young man and little Mahri run over and embrace each other.)

(Then the youngman says.)

young man: "Never go swimming alone again!"

Mahri: "I won't,"

(Mahri replies.)

(Then the young man turns to the group.)

young man: "I'm very grateful to you. I can't thank you enough for saving my sister."

Mew: "We were glad to do it,"

(Mew says.)

(But then, the young man approaches Misty, and asks.)

young man: "May I ask your name?"

Misty: "My name's Misty,"

(Misty introduces herself.)

(Then the young man says.)

young man: "Misty. You're amazing."

(Mew and the others stare at the young man with a confused look.)

(The young man snaps his fingers, and the boys each present a bouquet of flowers.)

(Misty is surprised and yet very pleased.)

(Then the man asks.)

the man: "Music please?"

(And snaps his fingers.)

(One of the guys brings a boombox and presses the button to play music.)

(Then the young man bows to Misty and says.)

young man: "Misty, it would give me great pleasure."

(Misty becomes confused, and the young man puts Togepi and Pichu and Mew's arms, and takes Misty away.)

Tracey: "Woah,"

(Tracey says, surprised.)

Tomo: "Who is this guy?"

(Tomo asks.)

Mew: "I have no idea,"

(Mew answers.)

(Soon, the young man and Misty begin to slow dance.)

(Then the young man says.)

young man: "Misty, from the way you saved my sister, it's clear you're an excellent Pokémon trainer. There aren't any water type trainers as skilled as you are. I'd be very honored and very grateful if you could stay here for a while and instruct the trainers in my humble gym."

(Misty is caught by surprise.)

Misty: "Your gym? You mean you're the Trovita Island gym leader?"

The boy: "Yes. Is it such a shock?"

(The boy says.)

Mew: "He's the Trovita gym leader?"

(Mew says, surprised.)

Pikachu: "Pika?" (He is?)

(Pikachu says, confused.)

(Then Eevee says.)

Eevee: "Eevee," (I guess so)

Tomo: "Really?"

(Tomo asks, confused.)

(Even Meloetta and Skwovet are confused.)

(Then the boy says to Misty.)

the boy: "And you're not just a great trainer, you're a great dancer, too."

Misty: "Thank you,"

(Misty says.)

(Tomo turns to the others.)

Tomo: "I think he forgot that we existed."

Tracey: "Yeah,"

(Tracey replies.)

(Then the boy asks.)

the boy: "So what brings you and your friends on the island?"

Misty: "Well, my friend, Mew is challenging the Orange Island, so we can to Trovita so she can have a battle,"

(Misty answers.)

(Mew steps forward.)

Mew: "That's right. I'm going to challenge you to a match. I've already got two badges and plan to earn my third one."

Mahri: "Yeah! Come on! Mew came here to have gym matches with you!"

(Mahri says.)

Mew: "So, what's your name?"

(Mew asks.)

Rudy: "Rudy. My name is Rudy. I'll be glad to accept your challenge, but first you'll each have to pass a little test."

(Rudy says.)

Mew: "Sounds fair to me,"

(Mew says.)

Mahri: "I hope you have good luck, Mew."

(Mahri says.)

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

Mahri: "You're gonna need lots of it to beat my big brother, Rudy."

(Mahri says.)

(Misty giggles.)

Misty: "Try not to underestimate Mew, Mahri. Mew is a pretty tough trainer."

(Sometime later, Mew along with the others, including Ruby and Mahri are on a speed boat in the river.)

(One of the trainers raised the flag and says.)

the trainer: "Ready?! Set! And go!"

(and waves it down.)

(And with that, Rudy drives the speed boat down the river.)

(Ruby says.)

Ruby: "I'll agree to a match, but only if you can each get your Pokémon to attack and knock down all the targets that come up at us."

Mew: "Alright,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon, the first target appears.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

(Then Pikachu performs a Thunderbolt attack, and hits the target.)

Mew: "Perfect, Pikachu!"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Rudy.)

Mew: "What do you think Rudy?"

(Then Mew becomes confused.)

Mew: "Uh Rudy?"

(and turns her head.)

(Rudy however is distracted by Misty, and says.)

Rudy: "Your eyes, they're like diamonds, but lovelier."

(Misty blushes.)

Misty: "Oh, Rudy…"

Mew: "Hey you two love birds, this isn't the time for romance."

(Mew says with a grin on her face.)

(Then the second target appears.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Eevee, use Swift!"

(Eevee jumps up and performs Swift Attack, hitting the target.)

(Misty sees this and says.)

Misty: "Nice work, Mew."

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, Team Rocket's Magikarp submarine emerges from the water.)

(The hatch opens and Team Rocket appears out, performing the motto.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James: And make it double!

(Suddenly, James stops to realize where they are.)

James: "This doesn't look like the ocean."

Meowth: "Must be Trovita River,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie continues.)

Jessie: To protect the world from deva…

(But stops to see.)

Jessie: "It's the twerps.

(James and Meowth quickly notice.)

Meowth: "Yeah, and they're heading this way!"

(Meowth says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Great! The target's right in our face!"

(Right on cue, the target comes down in front of Team Rocket.)

(Tracey calls out.)

Tracey: "There's a target!"

Tomo: "Get it Mew,"

(Tomo calls out.)

(Mew throws her pokeball and calls out.)

Mew: "Squirtle, go!"

(Squirtle comes out of his Pokeball.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Squirtle, Water Gun, now!"

(Squirtle hits the target.)

(Just then, the cliff that is attached to the tree, which is attached to the target, gives way in front of Team Rocket.)

(and the impact makes a big splash and sends them flying off.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

(Soon, Team Rocket is gone.)

Mew: "Guys, did I just hear what I thought I heard?"

(Mew asks.)

Tracey: "Could be,"

(Tracey says.)

Misty: "Yeah. It's Team Rocket,"

(Misty says, a little surprised.)

Tomo: "Glad to know we didn't imagine it,"

(Tomo replies, dumbfounded.)

(Soon, Charizard comes out and hits two more targets.)

(Squirtle and Eevee hit a separate target.)

(Then Pikachu and Eevee hit a separate target as well.)

(Mew happily says.)

Mew: "We got them all!"

(Misty and the others smile to see Mew's success.)

(Later in the evening, Mew and the others arrive at Rudy's home which is also the gym.)

Rudy: "Well, Mew, I'm surprised that you passed my attack test."

(Rudy says.)

Mew: "Thanks Rudy, I've been training my Pokemon for a long time."

(Mew says.)

Rudy: "Tomorrow, we'll have a match, and if you beat me 2 out of 3, I'll give you that badge you want so much. Pick whatever element Pokémon you want, and I'll use the same."

(Rudy explains.)

(Mew nods her head.)

Mew: "Okay, Rudy. I'll use an electric type, a grass type, and a water type."

(Then Rudy turns to Misty.)

Rudy: "And as for you, would you care to have dinner with us this evening?"

Mahri: "Oh, please say yes! My brother is a really good cook!"

(Mahri says.)

Misty: "I don't know,"

(Misty says, unsure.)

Rudy: "We'd both be happy if you would,"

(Rudy insisted.)

(Misty soon agrees.)

Misty: "Alright, let's go."

(Mahri then pushes Misty as Rudy takes her hand, and the three walk away, leaving the others behind.)

Tracey: "See ya,"

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Bye, Misty,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "See you later,"

(Tomo says.)

(Everyone also says goodbye as well, and says to see her later.)

(Sometime later, Mew is talking to Professor Oak on the video phone.)

(while Pikachu, Eevee, and the other Pokemon are eating dinner.)

(Professor Oak says.)

Professor Oak: "Ah, Trovita."

Mew: "I already passed Rudy's attack test, so the match tomorrow,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "Sounds like you're doing very well, Mew."

(Professor Oak says.)

(Then says.)

Professor Oak: "But don't get overconfident."

Mew: "I won't,"

(Mew replies.)

(Then Tracey walks over and says.)

Tracey: "Hi, Professor Oak. It's me, Tracey. And I wanted to show you a drawing of this thing I saw in the woods."

(Then Tracey begins to show Professor Oak his sketches, it looks like something is behind the bushes with plugs on its head.)

Professor Oak: "Interesting,"

(Professor Oak replies.)

Tracey: "Yeah, I thought, maybe, it's an undiscovered Pokémon. What do you think, Professor?"

(Tracey says.)

Professor Oak: "Well, can you describe it a bit for me?"

(Professor Oak says.)

Tracey: "Well, I didn't really get a good look at it, cause it was in the woods, like I said,"

(Tracey says.)

(Tomo turns to Mew.)

Tomo: "Looks like Tracey will be on the phone for a while."

Mew: "Yeah. Now I wonder how Misty's doing,"

(Mew replies.)

(Meanwhile, in the dining room, Misty, Rudy, and Mahri have just finished dinner.)

Misty: "Thank you,"

(Misty says with a smile.)

Rudy: "My pleasure,"

(Rudy replies.)

Rudy: "Was everything alright?"

Misty: "Oh, everything was delicious, Rudy,"

(Misty says.)

Rudy: "I'm glad you liked it."

(Rudy says.)

(Then Mahri says.)

Mahri: "You wanna know a secret? I always wanted a big sister just like you, Misty."

(Misty becomes confused.)

(Then Mahri says.)

Mahri: "I love my brother and the other boys at the gym, but I'm the only girl here."

Misty: "Oh, that's too bad,"

(Misty replies.)

(Then Mahri has an idea.)

Mahri: "Hey! I have an idea! Why don't you be my big sister and stay here forever?"

(But Rudy quickly says.)

Rudy: "Mahri, let's talk about something else."

Mahri: "Why?"

(Mahri asks.)

(Rudy gets up and says.)

Rudy: "I know! Let's go to the gym and let our Pokémon meet Misty."

(At the gym there are many of Rudy's Pokemon dancing.)

(He has an Exeggutor, Electabuzz, Rhydon, Alakazam, Ninetales, Venomoth, Golem, Pidgeot, Hitmonchan and Starmie.)

(They look like they're having a lot of fun.)

Misty: "The Pokémon are all dancing,"

(Misty says.)

Rudy: "I don't think it's enough to just teach Pokémon a lot of attacks. I found that the Pokémon's abilities can improve and change if they learn to do something completely new and different."

(Rudy explains.)

(Then Mahri says.)

Mahri: "That's why my brother gives all of our Pokémon dancing lessons."

(Rudy then turns to Misty.)

Rudy: "So, Misty, shall we dance?"

(Misty blushes.)

Mahri: "Come on, Togepi! You too, Pichu!"

(Mahri happily says, and takes Togepi and Pichu.)

(Soon, she begins dancing with them.)

(Rudy turns to Misty and says.)

Rudy: "Come on, give it a try!"

(Misty agrees, and they both take the dance floor.)

(Everyone is having a grand time.)

(Just then, Rudy says to Misty.)

Rudy: "It'd be really great if you could stay here for good, Misty."

(Misty pauses when she hears Rudy say that.)

Rudy: "Mahri would be very happy if you did."

(Rudy adds.)

Misty: "Oh. I don't know,"

(Misty replies, and doesn't sound sure.)

Rudy: "Please think about it, And give me your answer after the match tomorrow."

(Rudy replies.)

(Meanwhile, outside, on one of the tall rocky spikes, Team Rocket's submarine is tilting back and forth.)

Jessie: "Alright, we seem to have it balanced now, so let's try to keep this thing steady."

(Jessie says.)

James: "But how long do we have to stay like this, Jessie?"

(James asks, terrified.)

Jessie: "We stay like this until somebody comes along and saves us,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James asks.)

James: "Who'd save us?"

Jessie: "I can't deal with your negative attitude right now. Just concentrate on keeping this thing steady!"

(Jessie says.)

(As Jessie talks, the tip of her hair rubs Meowth's nose, causing him to let out a big sneeze.)

(Then the submarine tilts over and falls into the water below and into one of the whirlpools.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's whirling round again!"

(The next day, the Pokemon Battle Challenge is about to start.)

(Rudy and Mew on the battlefield that is on a very large and tall rock pillar.)

(Misty, Tomo, and the others watch from high above in the hot air balloon.)

Mew: "I hope you're ready to battle, Rudy! I challenge you!"

(Mew says.)

(Rudy bushes his hair and says.)

Rudy: "Challenge accepted, though you don't stand a chance of winning. Choose an electric Pokémon and we'll start the battle."

(Mew then turns to Pikachu.)

Mew: "You're up first, Pikachu!"

(Pikachu agrees and steps on to the battlefield.)

(Rudy calls out.)

Rudy: "I choose, Electabuzz!"

(And throws his Pokeball.)

(Then Electabuzz comes out of the Pokeball and onto the battlefield.)

(On the Pidgeot, the Referee says.)

the Referee: "So it's Electabuzz versus Pikachu in the first battle of this three round match!"

(Mahri calls out.)

Mahri: "Come on! Beat him, Rudy!"

(Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "You can do it, Mew!

Tracey: "They better be careful they don't fall off of that rock."

(Tracey replies.)

(Misty isn't saying a word.)

(She is conflicted about who to root for, and the request Rudy and Mahri ask of her.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, give him your Thunderbolt!"

(Pikachu performs Thunderbolt and the attack lands, but it doesn't affect Electabuzz at all.)

Rudy: "It's very nice of you to recharge my Electabuzz's batteries, Mew."

(Rudy says.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "It's no good, Pikachu. Electabuzz is just absorbing your electricity. Electric attacks won't work. Well, we'll just have to use your other attacks, now!"

(Then calls out the next attack.)

Mew: "Pikachu, use your Quick Attack!"

(Pikachu then dashes forward.)

(Then Rudy calls out.)

Rudy: "Electabuzz, Quick Attack back!"

(Electabuzz dashes forward as well.)

(Both collide and are both pushed back by the attack, and both able to land on the rocky field.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

(Rudy then calls out.)

Rudy: "Electabuzz, Thunder Punch, now!"

(Both Pokemon then perform the attack and both collide with one another.)

(However, the Thunder Punch us too strong and pushes Pikachu further back, and towards the edge of the rock battlefield.)

(Mew rushes over.)

Mew: "Pikachu, look out!"

(Mew jumps and catches Pikachu in the nick of time.)

(Mew sits up and says.)

Mew: "You did your best, Pikachu. You better rest now."

(Seeing the result, the referee says.)

the referee: "Pikachu is defeated! The first battle goes to Electabuzz and Rudy!"

(In the basket of the hot air balloon, Mahri happily says.)

Mahri: "My brother's a really good Pokémon trainer, isn't he, Misty?"

(Misty chuckles in reply.)

(Mahri then asks.)

Mahri: "What did he say to you when you were dancing last night?"

Misty: "Oh. Just things,"

(Misty replies.)

(However, her mind flashes back to last night on the dance floor.)

(Rudy says to Misty.)

Rudy: "It'd be really great if you could stay here for good, Misty."

(Misty pauses when she hears Rudy say that.)

Rudy: "Mahri would be very happy if you did,"

(Rudy adds.)

Misty: "Oh. I don't know,"

(Misty replies, and doesn't sound sure.)

Rudy: "Please think about it, And give me your answer after the match tomorrow."

(Rudy replies.)

(Then Misty wonders.)

Misty: "What should I do?"

(Then the referee says.)

the referee: "The second battle is between grass element Pokemon!"

Mew: "Bulbasaur, I choose you!"

(Mew calls out and throws her Pokeball.)

(And Bulbasaur comes out of his Pokeball and onto the field.)

(Then Rudy throws his Pokeball.)

Rudy: "Exeggutor, I choose you!"

(Exeggutor comes out of its Pokeball and onto the field.)

(Just then, Rudy says.)

Rudy: "A little music, please?"

(and snaps his fingers.)

(Right on cue, a trainer pulls out a boombox in the balloon and it begins to play music.)

(Soon, Exeggutor begins to dance.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf Attack, now!"

(Bulbasaur performs Razor Leaf but Exeggutor dodges it effortlessly by dancing to the music.)

Mew: "Uh oh!"

(Mew says, shocked.)

Bulbasaur: "Bulba!" (Oh no!)

(Bulbasaur says, shocked.)

(Rudy then calls out.)

Rudy: "Exeggutor, show them some fancy footwork!"

(Exeggutor begins to march towards Bulbasaur as it dances.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Quick, Bulbasaur, try another Razor Leaf attack!"

(Bulbasaur performs the attack again, but the same result happens.)

Tracey: "That Exeggutor is dancing right around Bulbasaur's Razor Leaf attack!"

(Tracey says, shocked.)

Tomo: "Yeah. It can really dance,"

(Tomo says.)

(He turns his head to notice Meloetta is dancing too, making him laugh.)

(Rudy then calls out.)

Rudy: "Exeggutor, Egg Bomb attack, now!"

(Exeggutor then launches the attack at Bulbasaur, knocking him out of the battlefield.)

(Bulbasaur however is able to stand back up and looks to see Exeggutor is coming towards him.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use your Sleep Powder attack!"

(Bulbasaur then sprays Sleep Powder from his bud and the attack lands.)

(Soon, Exeggutor begins to march right towards the ledge.)

(Tracey quickly closes his eyes.)

Tracey: "I can't watch!"

(Luckily, the Sleep Powder begins to fully take effect, and Exeggutor falls right to sleep.)

(Mew is glad and relieved.)

Mew: "Alright, Bulbasaur! Sleep Powder's working!"

Rudy: "No!"

(Rudy says, shocked.)

(Meanwhile, on the lower cliff wall of the rock, Team Rocket is desperately climbing up the rock.)

Jessie: "Just a little further,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "We're almost there. We're almost at the top!"

Meowth: "As long as we don't have to go back in the water!"

(Meowth says.)

(Suddenly, Meowth notices Rudy's Exeggutor falling towards him and his teammates.)

(Soon, the sleeping Pokemon knocks them off of the wall and back towards the water.)

(Luckily, Bulbasaur's Vine Whip rushes down and catches Exeggutor just in time.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "We're falling off again!"

(and splashes into the water.)

(Soon Bulbasaur pulls Exeggutor back onto the battlefield.)

Rudy: "Exeggutor, return,"

(Rudy says, and calls back Exeggutor, returning it to its Pokeball.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "And the second round victory goes to Mew and his Bulbasaur!"

Mew: "That was great, Bulbasaur,"

(Mew says, and pats Bulbasaur.)

(Mahri is disappointed though.)

Mahri: "My big brother lost."

(Misty can't help but give Mew a smile.)

Tomo: "Alright sis got a win!"

(Tomo cheers.)

(Then Tracey says.)

Tracey: "Now it's tied with one battle each."

Rudy: "It was very sportsman-like of you to help my Exeggutor, but don't think I'm gonna go easy on you in the last battle!"

(Rudy says.)

(Mew gives Rudy a determined smile and says.)

Mew: "I don't want you to!"

(Then the referee says.)

the referee: "In the third and deciding battle, they're using water element Pokemon!"

(Rudy then calls out.)

Rudy: "I choose you, Starmie!"

(And with that, Starmie comes out of its Pokeball.)

(Rudy looks up at Misty longingly, and calls out.)

Rudy: "I dedicate this victory to the girl who saved my sister and stole my heart!"

(Misty becomes confused.)

(Mahri is delighted and lets out a chuckle.)

Mahri: "I knew it! I knew right away my brother really liked you, Misty!"

(Misty is even more conflicted than ever.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "That's very sweet of you Rudy, but I'm planning on winning this match!"

(She then calls out.)

Mew: "Squirtle, I choose you!"

(And Squirtle enters the field.)

(Rudy then calls out.)

Rudy: "Starmie, let's win this thing! Water Gun, now!"

(Starmie fires the Water Gun.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Squirtle, use you Water Gun attack too!"

(Squritle then fires a Water Gun as well, and both attacks collide and evenly matched.)

Rudy: "I'll break this tie,"

(Rudy says, and snaps his fingers.)

Rudy: "Music!"

(The music begins to play again up in the balloon, and this time, Rudy starts dancing himself.)

(Then Rudy calls out.)

Rudy: "Alright Starmie, time to dance!"

(Starmie starts spinning around as it dodges Squritle's attack.)

(Then Rudy says.)

Rudy: "Misty, this is for you! A very special dance. Starmie, spin yourself into a Thunderbolt attack!

(Starmie begins to spin even faster and lets loose the Thunderbolt Attack.)

(Squirtle is instantly hit while standing.)

(Shocked, Mew wonders.)

Mew: "But, how?"

Rudy: "Dance, Starmie! A victory dance!"

(Rudy says.)

Mew: "Squirtle, no!"

(Mew calls out.)

Tracey: "I can't believe it! His Starmie can use electric attacks!"

(Tracey says, shocked.)

Tomo: "Yeah. I didn't think Starmie could use that attack."

(Tomo says.)

Mahri: "Alright! My brother Rudy's gonna win the match!"

(Mahri says.)

Tracey: "Squirtle's a water element and it's weak against electric attacks. This doesn't look good."

(Tracey says.)

(Suddenly, Misty says.)

Misty: "Maybe, but Mew will find a way eventually."

(Curious, Mahri asks.)

Mahri: "Really?"

Misty: "Yes. I've seen her battle while traveling with her, and sometimes find a way to turn things around when things get tough. Rudy works great with his Pokemon and works differently,which is proven to be a challenge to Mew. Yet, as long as she's with her Pokemon, and her Pokemon is with her, I know that she can win the match."

(Misty says.)

Mahri: "That's very sweet,"

(Mahri says.)

Misty: "Thanks. They both are great, but Mew is my friend, so I'll be rooting for her."

(Misty says.)

Mahri: "Sounds like you and Mew are good friends, almost like sisters."

(Mahri says.)

Misty: "That's one way of putting it."

(Misty says.)

(Seeing Squirtle getting electric shock, Mew decides to act fast.)

Mew: "Quick, Squirtle! Aim your Water Gun straight down at the ground!"

(Squirtle does so and leaps into the air and out of Starmie's Electric attack.)

(but unknown to Squirtle, he's heading towards the edge of the battlefield.)

(Tracey cries out.)

Tracey: "Squirtle, look out!"

(Just then, Squirtle tucks into his shell and performs a Water Gun whole spinning around.)

(Soon, Squirtle launches himself back up, and amazes everyone.)

Tomo: "Woah! Look at Squirtle go!"

(Tomo says, impressed.)

(Tracey asks.)

Tracey: "What's Squirtle doing, Misty?"

Misty: "Looks to me like Squirtle just learned to use Hydro Pump!"

(Misty says.)

(Squirtle continues to perform the attack until he pops out of his shell, and lands on the battlefield.)

(Seeing what's happening, Mew cheers.)

Mew: "Alright Squirtle, you did it! And you've learned Hydro Pump!"

Pikachu: "Pika Pika!" (Well done, buddy!)

(Pikachu replies.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Alright!)

(Eevee cheers.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Okay, Squirtle! Hydro Pump, now!"

(Squritle quickly ducks back into his shell and performs Hydro Pump.)

(The Hydro Pump nails Starmie multiple times.)

(Starmie falls to the ground and quickly gets up, but it shows that it has some energy left.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Now use your Skull Bash attack!"

(Squritle then speeds forward head first as he performs the Skull Bash.)

(Then, Squirtle is right on target, bashes at Starmie, and sends it flying.)

(Rudy cries out.)

Rudy: "Starmie, no!"

(Squirtle lands safely on the ground, and Starmie falls to the ground.)

(Its jewel blinks, showing that it's out of energy, and is defeated.)

(The referee announces.)

The referee: "The match is over! Squirtle wins the third round! Mew has defeated Rudy, the Trovita Island gym leader!"

Mew: "Alright!"

(Mew cheers.)

(Misty and the boys smile to see Mew has won her match.)

(Mew picks up Squirtle in her arms.)

Mew: "We did it, Squirtle! We finally won! That Hydro Pump was awesome!"

(Ruby brushes his hair and says.)

Ruby: "Nice job, Mew.

(Late in the evening, everyone gathers at the beach.)

(Rudy then brings out the badge.)

Rudy: "Here are your Spike Shell badges, Mew."

(The badge is shaped like a triumphant star turban with a small gemstone on it.)

Mew: "Thanks Rudy,"

(Mew says, and takes the badge.)

(Mew kneels to her Pokemon and says.)

Mew: "See guys, we won the Spike Shell badge!"

(Pikachu and Eevee nod their heads with smiles.)

(Just then, Rudy hands Misty a bouquet of flowers.)

Rudy: "And Misty, I already know you've made your decision, but these are for you."

Misty: "I... Thanks, Rudy,"

(Misty replies, and takes the bouquet.)

(Then remember.)

Misty: "and Mahri has a present for you."

Misty: "A present?"

(Misty says, confused.)

(Mahri walks over and presents Misty a Pokemon Egg.)

(The Pokemon Egg has different shades of blue.)

(A dark on the top, and the rest so a light blue color, and has two white spots at the front.)

Mahri: "I found it a few days ago. I like you to have it. I know you'll raise it to be a great Pokemon."

(Mahri says.)

(Misty smiles and says.)

Misty: "Thank you, Mahri."

(and takes the Pokemon Egg.)

(Later on, Mew and her friends depart on Lapras out to sea as Rudy, Mahri, and the other trainers say their goodbye.)

(Mahri calls out.)

Mahri: "If you change your mind and want to come back, we'll both be waiting for you, Misty!"

(Mew and the others wave goodbye.)

(Mew has won her third Orange League Badge.)

(Misty also ends up winning something as well, a young man's heart and a Pokemon egg.)

(but what will it hatch to? They'll have to wait and see what happens.)
