New Base!

Ace grabbed a dirt wagon that was sitting on the lawn. Everyone tossed some of their stuff on it before walking off. This house was once occupied by someone else, but these goons were giving Leon and his buddies trouble.

The rest is just history, it was now being occupied by Leon's buddies. While they were walking, the group saw someone being beaten on the streets. Apparently, they were fighting over a Pokeball that was found in the nearby alleyway.

"This is our Pokeball now, you're too weak to have something like this. Don't let me see that ugly mug of yours around here again, or you're dead!" One of the men was tall and lanky, he yelled out in a fierce tone.

"Y-you fu**ers, this ain't over, I'll get you guys for this one day!" The beaten man ran while cursing at his beaters.

"Wanna get revenge?! Come, let's chase and kill this fool—so as to get rid of future problems!" The lanky man's expression turned cold before he and his partner began to pursue the man frantically.

Alana and Alane were both frightened when they heard those words. However, they remembered Leon was here and had nothing to worry about.

Leon crossed the street that hadn't been driven on in god knows how long, to look down the alleyway.

It was vacant and filled with sludge and trash, nothing special. This type of scene would most likely attract Pokemon such as Grimer, but none of them were around.

Perhaps they would emerge from the manhole within this alleyway every night.

Leon and company continued onward. Rigor took the lead because he naturally knew where the building was, so he was the guide here.

"They were fighting over a Pokeball, that guy is dead for sure." Lucian frowned and couldn't help but look back every so often.

"That's life for you around here, it shouldn't come as something new." Ace had seen this before, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary here.

He just kept his head down and kept it moving so as to not get involved or even make eye contact with these types of people.

"Don't worry, there's a brighter future ahead, just wait and see. You guys won't be stuck in this hell hole forever." Leon wouldn't be as confident as he was in all honesty—if he didn't have his Pokemon home.

He'd have to work very hard just like everyone else, but he had the assistance of some powerful Pokemon.

He was just broke and lacked resources.

'Maybe I should go rob a bank or something with a teleporting Alakazam.' This was the first thing that came to Leon. However, as a kid, appearing in the core zone of Viridian out of nowhere would be suspicious.

Mainly because no one had seen him before, and he wasn't exactly dressed classy.

To really steal, he'll wait until he was an adult to try this out—at least on a larger scale.

Everyone instinctively nodded at Leon's comment. They had seen how he'd easily defeated a group of thugs with his Pokemon back then.

They kept going through streets that hadn't been groomed or cared for in almost forever. Every so often, a beggar would ask them for spare cash.

They would simply tell them that they didn't have any money on them and they would leave right away to ask someone else.

"Hey, you brat! Whatcha got in the wagon, fork it over!" When suddenly, a tone of dour was heard in the midst of all of this.

They turned around and there stood two men—one was overweight with a bald head and a malicious grin across his face.

The one that spoke was slightly shorter, he had a blue-haired mohawk. And surprise, surprise, he didn't look friendly at all with a harsh scar going across his face.

Leon reached into his pocket and showed off his Pokeball as a warning for them to leave.

"W-what? He has a Pokeball?" The fat man's expression froze on the spot, this wasn't good. He instinctively had the thought to turn and run away from this situation.

"Don't be scared, he probably got that from old Olaf's Pokemart to scare off people like us." The man with the mohawk sneered.

"Go, Machoke!" Leon didn't even reply to any of this and directly called forth his Pokemon. Suddenly, the muscular Machoke revealed itself through the white light.

This scene nearly caused both men to waste themselves on the spot. This wasn't a regular Pokemon, it was a Machoke—a first-stage evolution!

"Clothesline them both!" Leon pointed at the two men and said. Machoke took action instantly by jumping towards and in front of both men.

They couldn't move because they were frozen from terror and shock—this kid wasn't simple!

Machoke swung both its arms out and slammed into both men's upper torso with a clothesline.

Both men gagged and were knocked away with little to no effort. They flew through the air and landed in the dirt unmoved.

They had both passed out.

This Machoke was at level 38, it was no pushover around here in the area—an area known as the beginner area in Leon's book.

"Incredible! I want a Pokemon that can do that one day!" Ace was overjoyed and so was everyone else; they stared at Leon with reverence seeing his powerful Pokemon.

Their Team would surely be powerful in the future under his leadership, they were filled with anticipation.

People on the street, who had been watching the hopeless events thought that these kids were done for. However, the tables had turned in the most shocking type of twist that none of them could have hoped to expect.

Other children around Leon's age and younger were watching from afar with flabbergasted expressions—like they had witnessed the most unbelievable thing.

Leon was not afraid to exude his strength, but this was only a beginner's area, who could appear of such significance? At the very least, they weren't around to witness it, just beggars and thugs.

Leon turned to Rigor, who had a look of surprise on his face as he stared at Machoke from afar. He quickly snapped out of his stupor and proceeded to head toward their destination.

A few men rushed out like rabid dogs toward the fainted men and started looting their bodies of everything.

Leon kept Machoke out of his Pokeball and no one dared to approach them from then onward. Everyone they passed by just stared at them in fear, while some were curious about their identities.

In no time, they appeared in front of the scouted building. There was a reasonably tall barred fence around the perimeter of this building. Leon knew that there was a backyard to this place, but Rigor wasn't able to acquire pictures.

"Let's head inside and have a look around the place." Leon smiled as his eyes formed into crescents, this building was just right from his description.

Leon opened the heavy door that showed signs of aging, the glass of these doors was stained with thick dirt streaks.

At this time, someone was watching all of them enter the building from afar—that silhouetted figure quickly left the scene.

"This place is going to get really dark when the sunsets. I wonder if any of these lightbulbs work despite the long years that have passed?"

Lucian and everyone else could see decently in this building. This was partially due to the sunlight cascading through the door and mainly through the windows.

"I guess I'll have to check that out now, then we can start renovating this place to make some space."

Leon would need to be able to see what they were doing in order to work, so he needed to fix this problem first.

"You guys must know, what goes on in here, stays in here. It isn't anyone's business and you shouldn't tell anyone, do you guys understand that much?" He was planning to set up a little business here to make some income.

"Of course, I won't utter a word."

"There's no way I would tell anyone anything."

They swore up and down that they wouldn't dare speak on anything that goes on in here. This was the code for any gang, but Leon wasn't making this gang official just yet.

They would go by the Eclipse gang, and later by the name—Team Eclipse once they were bigger. Machoke stood there silently, he was often stared at by Rigor, who couldn't help but be amazed by the sight of it.

"Alright, here we go." Leon reached into his Pokemon home and withdrew three Pokemon from it.

"Come forth, I need your assistance." Leon quickly tossed them out and summoned the following Pokemon.

Ampharos, Electabuzz, and Jynx.

Everyone's mouths went agape, what were these types of Pokemon? They were learning and seeing new things every day.

"Alright, Ampharos, use Electric terrain. Time to light this place up!" Leon smiled and said.

"Pharos!" Suddenly, a surge of lightning was released from Ampharos.

What appeared to be a yellow cloudy mist formed over the ground, while giving off strands of lightning bolts.

These mini bolts were harmless, but they could be used to empower Electric-type attacks. The Electric terrain lit the whole floor and room up, it wasn't imposing or harmful to the eyes, either.

"Wow, this is so cool!" Alane leaped in happiness, as she stomped down on the yellow clouds that surfaced above the ground.

They all found that these mini lightning bolts coming from the cloudy mist weren't deadly or harmful at all.

They moved their hands and legs through the cloudy mist happily. They were having fun as kids should—something they rarely experienced.

"Jynx and Electabuzz, your job is to remove these lights and separate the working ones from the broken ones.

You can use these baskets to separate the working ones from the broken ones. The broken ones will be put in the red basket and the working ones into the blue basket."

Leon grabbed these two baskets out of the dirt wagon they had brought along.

"JYNX!"

"Electabuzz!"

Leon further explained to the trio. Ampharos was in charge of setting this terrain for them to see.

Jynx would use her psychic powers to unscrew these bulbs to give to Electabuzz. Electabuzz was to insert some of its electric energy into these bulbs to see if they worked or not.

All three Pokemon nodded and understood their roles.

"Hmm, the next thing I want to do is make a garden. I need soil and some good composition to make this a reality."

Leon wanted a flower and berry garden, which he planned to grow on the lower floors. All he needed was the things required to make it happen.

Afterward, he could just have Pokemon such as Flabébé, Florges, Floette, Cutiefly, Rimbombee, Comfey and some grass pokemon tend to these places.

Leon smiled at the thought.

"Hey, get the hell out here right now! Didn't I tell you guys not to come back or else I was going to kill you! Get out here and face your death!"

Leon frowned as his peaceful thoughts were disrupted by a sharp and unpleasant voice from outside.
