13 I'm Just A Coward...

The bear was on fours, staring at the human males before him. He slowly walked forward, his numerous sharp claws being there for everyone to see. One of it's eyes was dim and had a sword cut scar, the other eye was red. His fur was pitch black, darker than the night sky.

It's face had a mocking smile as it watched the other seriously hurt human slowly stand up to protect his fellow, the bear showed obvious signs of intelligence. It was enjoying the suffering from the human in front of him.

Blake watched that scene with chills running down his back, the damn bear was seriously scary.

"Riolu, we need to get out of here, that thing is too danger-" Blake suddenly stopped talking, as he stared at Riolu. Riolu gaze was very firm, his emotions were being transmitted to Blake.

"You...Want to help that guy?" Blake pointed to the guy who was standing up to save his friend. Riolu nodded.

"Riolu, I know very well that you are weaker than that thing. Do you know how much of a disadvantage we are at?" Riolu didn't say anything and just stared at Blake. He didn't care about a disadvantage.

"You... We don't even know these people, have you no fear of dying? Ah... Right, you are Brave..." Blake clenched his fist. Blake realized why he is so against helping these people.

He was afraid.

Blake wasn't a brave person nor he was kind, when he was in Earth, he never really cared about the news of people dying all over the world. Even in his daily life, he constantly ran away from problems, not daring to do anything too risky.

He eventually ended up with very few friends, and a bleak future. His relationship with his family got worse and worse, he ended up anti social and got depression.

The main reason he was so addicted to games was to escape reality, he could be a brave warrior there. He could be whatever he wanted, no need to hide, no need to cry, he could defeat all the bad guys. Everyone liked him there.

"I'm not a hero, I'm just a coward...." Blake clenched both fists, his head hanging low.

He felt something pulling his clothes. When he looked at it, Riolu was there. He was smiling, that smile was full of warmth. The type of smile that said 'It's okay'.

"Riolu..."

Blake felt strength leaving his fists. As they stared at each other more and more, Blake slowly smiled. That smile was incredibly bright, Blake never smiled like this in his whole life.

"Let's do this..." Blake had a weird feeling. He didn't want to disappoint the one who was smiling at him right now, he never felt like this.

"Riolu." Said Blake in a composed voice. He never thought he could make a voice with so much confidence on it.

"Riolu!!"

"Aura Sphere." He pointed at the bear. His eyes were full of fighting spirit.

=====================================================

"Damn it..." I weakly cursed. My strength was leaving my body.

I looked at my back, Xun was dying just behind me. He had nothing to do with this at first, but he ended up here because he wanted to help me.

The bear in front of me smiled in a mocking manner, I felt fury take over me as soon as I saw it's face.

'This damned beast...' I wanted to tear that smiling face apart, but I can barely stand up at the moment. My legs are trembling, every single part of my body was screaming at me to run away.

'I won't run away...' I have a emergency teleport talisman on my pocket. I took it out and stared at it.

'I can use it on Xun...' Xun will be sent back to the sect instantaneously if I do that, I won't allow him to die here.

I put the talisman on Xun chest, preparing to use it.

"Sen-nior Brot-ther...D-don't...." Xun said very weakly as he extended his hand, he knew what this was. My master said to me these are very rare and he can only give me one, If I send Xun back now I will not be able to escape. I smiled.

A huge shadow covered both of us, I know it's the bear. It stood up like a human and lifted one of his paws high, preparing to give the final blow.

'Sorry Xun... I won't be able to turn into the world strongest beside you like we always dreamed of...' Just as I injected Qi into the talisman to activate it , something completely unexpected happened.

A glowing blue ball of light was shot out from the bushes nearby at a incredible speed, hitting the bear who was bringing it's paw down straight in the face. It wasn't hurt but it took three steps back, nearly falling down because of the surprise impact.

It angrily glared into the direction of the attacker, roaring threateningly. Then two figures came out of the bush.

One was a blue and black dog, with red eyes and small stature. It walked like a human and it glared at the bear who was bigger than it by who knows how much without fear. I felt something coming the dog, I don't really know what it was but it was but I could see the bear felt it too, and it's face contorted a bit.

'Is this a spirit beast?...' As I thought so, I looked at the human who came with the dog. It was a beautiful red haired girl, her clothes were something I never saw in my life. She had a smile in her face as she asked with a voice full of confidence.

"Do you guys want some help?"
