5 Joseph's first real life pokemon battle.

"I accept your challenge." Joseph unmounted Arcanine's back.

"Good there's a free space over there, it will be our battle location." The arrogant dude pointed.

"Okay." Joseph, Arcanine and the little guys followed the dude.

"Tch, Dennis is bullying another unlucky target today."

"Who is Dennis?"

"The guy who always bullying weaker trainers, especially newcomers."

"Is he strong?"

"He's always with in the top 200 of League Rankings for almost 5 years."

"Whoa!"

"Poor guy, his money will be milked by Dennis."

The spectators chatted on the side.

"Hey you kid be our referee." The dude said to the dark green haired kid named Sorrel who won the battle earlier.

Sorrel seems unhappy on the arrogant dude's words.

"Please be our referee." Joseph immediately pleaded to reduce the irritation of the kid.

"Okay." Sorrel nodded then he stood on the side of the battle area.

"I'm Dennis from Viridian City, let's have a full 1 on 1 match using 6 pokemons." The Dude took a pokeball from his waist.

"I'm Joseph from Hau'oli, I agree." Joseph glanced at Arcanine and the rest then he nodded.

"This is 1 on 1 official match using 6 pokemons between Dennis of Viridian City and Joseph of Hau'oli." Sorrel said then he waved his hand.

'Hehe this guy only have bunch of weak pokemon, easy money.' Dennis thought then he threw the pokeball he was holding in the air the a Scyther appeared from it.

"Scyyther!!" The Scyther flexed his sharp claws the he arrogantly stared at his possible opponents.

"Quilava handle that Scyther." Joseph patted the head of Quilava, the pokemon cutely nodded and jumped down from Arcanine's back and went to the battle area.

"Both pokemons of the Trainers are ready, let the match begin!" Sorrel gestured his hands to begin.

"Scyther use quick attack and knock that Quilava!" Dennis immediately said the Scyther quickly did what his trainer said.

"Quilava use Eruption." Joseph was so excited to have his very first pokemon battle and he needs to calm himself and stay composed. Eruption is a good move to start the battle since the move is based on the max hp of the user.

"Quil!!" Quilava's ignited the flames on her head and tail, the flames become larger and larger as she charge.

The spectators can feel the intense hot temperature coming from Quilava.

"Strong!" They all said.

Scyther who was rushing towards Quilava's direction felt danger but he continued the order of his trainer.

"I won't believe that your Quilava can knock out my Scyther." Dennis muttered.

Scyther was just a few inches far from Quilava but Quilava suddenly lowers its head and fires a geyser of red-orange fire from the flame on its head at the opponent.

*Boom*

A cloud of dust and smoke formed, the spectators were shocked on the power that Quilava has shown. After a few seconds the cloud of dust and smoke disappeared.

Scyther was laying on the ground without moving while Joseph's Quilava was chilling waiting for her Trainer's instructions.

"Scyther fainted, Quilava won this round! Please choose your next pokemon." Sorrel snapped out of his amazement towards the Quilava.

"I don't believe that I can't beat that Quilava." Dennis took back Scyther and choosed an Onix for his next pokemon.

"Roaaar." Onix roared after it appeared.

'Whoa! That's what an Onix looks like this boi is so damn thick!' Joseph thought then he shook his head. "Quilava comeback, you did great girl. Farfetch'd go, you will face that Onix."

Joseph knows that the Onix have ridiculous defence but all of its other stats are lacking, this is the perfect sparring partner for Farfetch'd since the guy is a physical attacker.

"Faar!" The swordsman of leek walked towards the battle area.

"Both pokemons of the Trainers are ready, let the second round begin!" The referee shouted.

"Onix use Rock Throw!"

Onix roared then it conjured rocks from rock type energy then Onix threw it towards Farfetch'd's direction using its tail.

"Farfetch'd use Acrobatics to dodge then continuous Leaf Blade to Onix." Joseph shouted then Farfetch'd nimbly dodged all of the rocks that thrown to him using Acrobatics and propelled himself towards Onix.

Onix was too slow to react at the agile swordsman of leek.

Farfetch'd leek suddenly glowed with grass type energy and slashed Onix' body with two consecutive slashes.

Onix miraculously survived the hit of Farfetched and stood up again and growled.

"Onix' ability must be Sturdy." Joseph muttered.

"That's the spirit, squash that little duck with Rock Tomb!" Dennis comforted himself, looks like he bumped his head on a steel wall.

Surprisingly the rock tomb successfully hit Farfetch'd. The effect of Rock Tomb affected Farfetch'd, the swordsman of leek speed was lowered.

Noticing that his speed lowered, Farfetch'd narrowed his eyes and felt irritated and his fighting spirit surged then his body was strengthened.

The hidden ability of Farfetch'd, Defiant, was activated.

When any of Farfetch'd stats was lowered, his attack stat sharply raises.

"Another round of Leaf Blade!" Joseph's excitedly roared.

"Faaarr!!" Farfetch'd jumped then he did a downward slash with a cool pose.

Onix' eyes widened then his vision became blurred and fainted.

"Onix fainted, Farfetch'd won this round! Trainer Dennis Please choose your next pokemon if the two pokemons you sent is your strongest, I suggest for you to forfeit." Sorrel said with faint smile of his lips, he was glad that the arrogant man was being thought by the polite trainer.

"I-I... No I'll continue " Dennis stubbornly took another pokeball on his waist and threw it in the air.

Like what Sorrel expected other pokemons of Dennis is easily wiped out by Farfetch'd. Dennis started to cry like a little kid after the loss and paid Joseph with 5% of his total money on his account since it was an official match.

Joseph earned 16,713 Pokedollars, he was surprised that the Dennis guy is actually a rich guy.

"If my estimate is right, that Dennis have 330k pokedollars on his account, whatever." Joseph cleared his thoughts and jumped on Arcanine's back then they went to the nearest Pokemart.

"Mom! If I grew older I want to own a Farfetch'd and train it to become as awesome as that older brother's Farfetch'd." A kid said with sparkling eyes.

"Hmmn, be sure to eat a lot to grow faster." The kid's mother hugged and carried the child.

'Should I train a Farfetch'd and Quilava?' This are the thoughts of spectators who watched the one sided fight between Dennis and Joseph.
