31 Blastoise's Fury

Floyd was surprised to see Blastoise suddenly appear; wasn't he on the ship more than 20 kilometers away? Blastoise didn't seem to specialize in speed, but Floyd put that thought aside to focus on the current situation.

"Partner, it might be hard for you; you must cover us from the attack while running. Everyone, follow us!" Kanraku said as he picked up Happiny and the malnourished Munchlax.

"Blastoise~" Blastoise responded, understanding his assignment.

Floyd placed the five tired Goomy and four unconscious Petilil in his backpack, then picked up the unconscious Flaaffy, Metapod, and Wooper. Togepi jumped happily onto Miltank's head, and the other Pokémon, now seeing a glimmer of hope from Kanraku's promise, forced themselves to stand. They were desperate to run.

Then, the two attack helicopters launched their last three missiles each. Seeing the six homing missiles coming, Blastoise used Aqua Jet to jump up, and the missiles changed their target to him. Blastoise used Protect Move with his back.

BOOM!

Vibrations resonated throughout the surroundings. Blastoise was knocked to the ground.

Pu!

The ground shook.

"Partner!" Sensing his partner in distress, Kanraku shouted worriedly.

"Blas~toise." Bruised and battered, Blastoise stood up and responded. Although he had used Protect, he was still dealing with six missiles. Just one might not have been a problem, but Blastoise had used Shell Smash to its limit to rush here rapidly, reducing his defense and special defense two stages. He had even surpassed some Wartortles who were also heading to the rescue. Another reason for his predicament was Kanraku's aversion to killing; otherwise, Blastoise could have already destroyed the helicopters with Hydro Pump.

"Blastoise~" Blastoise looked at Kanraku, signaling that he was okay.

On the other hand, the two attack helicopters, now out of missiles, revealed Gatling guns.

"Shoot!" the commander ordered.

Ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta! Ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta!

Then, two more attack helicopters unexpectedly appeared. 

Blastoise continued to use Rapid Spin to shield against the bullets, and then two more missiles came from the newly arrived helicopters. 

Blastoise used Aqua Jet and then Rapid Spin to intercept the incoming missiles. However, he was surprised when, instead of an explosion, gas – countless tear gas – was released from the missiles, followed by 12 missiles.

The previous two helicopters changed their target from Kanraku to Blastoise and kept firing at him with the Gatling guns. Then, another four attack helicopters unexpectedly appeared, making a total of eight. The city had mobilized all its resources for this.

Their real target wasn't Kanraku, but Blastoise. The four newly arrived helicopters released a total of 36 homing missiles, making it 48 missiles in all.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Countless explosions echoed near the seashore, and even the sea grew turbulent from the vibrations. Ivan, Jonathan, Bianca, Suzuki, and some already exhausted Pokémon were affected by the strong impact and lost consciousness.

"PARTNER!" A semi-conscious Kanraku cried out desperately. He hadn't expected these people to be so ruthless as to use their most powerful weapons against Blastoise. 

Floyd's eyes widened in shock. He remembered the scene with the Dragonite Mother; it hadn't been as ruthless as this. Perhaps he hadn't seen the full extent of it, as when he found the Dragonite Mother in the cave, she had already been severely injured. The battle he witnessed when she was near death was just a post-battle.

"PARTNER! IF YOU ARE STILL ALIVE! DO IT! DON'T HESITATE! KILL THEM!" Kanraku's eyes were red with rage. He regretted his previous stance; he had kept Blastoise from killing people because he still adhered to the rule of humanity about not killing one's own kind. But to the Pokémon, these humans were more like beasts, ruthless to the point of disregarding the feelings of the Pokémon they called beasts.

"PLEASE HEAR ME! DO IT!" Kanraku shouted.

ROAR!

Meanwhile, many creatures in the forest were disturbed and angered. They looked at the flying helicopters.

Bang!

One helicopter was hit by a stone and exploded.

BOOM!

"Sir, WuzhuangShou Di #6 exploded, and countless beasts are appearing!" one of the soldiers reported anxiously.

"There's no hope for them here; we can only pray for their survival. Now, hurry up, snatch Lord Blue, and escape!" sighed the Air Force Commander, thinking about his fallen comrades. However, the mission comes first, so he shouted.

"Roger!"

"Sir, we have no ammunition; we will retreat right now," reported the two pilots who appeared earlier.

"Understood, you've already done your best; go and retreat," said the Air Force Commander.

"Roger!"

Two helicopters retreated, avoiding the dangerous beasts, while the remaining five approached Blastoise.

As the five helicopters surrounded the explosion site where Blastoise was, they felt a strong cold wind when the smoke subsided.

Then, they saw Blastoise with red eyes, a full injured face, and a broken shell standing and looking at them.

"What?" All soldiers were shocked and were about to fly high to escape and then…

Blastoise's Torrent Ability activated.

He then used a full-force Hydro Pump and spun it towards all the attack helicopters.

Wheeeesh SHING!

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

All five attack helicopters exploded instantly.

"What?"

"What?"

The soldiers and pilots of the two retreating helicopters looked back in shock and saw the five helicopters exploding. Fear flickered in their eyes.

"Commander!" One of the soldiers cried in tears.

"The commander is dead," one of the pilots said, his face a mix of dignity and fear.

"We can't do anything here; let's retreat. This mission has failed. Be prepared for the punishment upon our return," one of the acting leaders said, closing his eyes, feeling unwilling. They had almost succeeded.

Back at the seashore where the incident happened, countless Pokémon flocked to watch the scene. They looked at the bloodied, injured Blastoise with fear.

His aura was intimidating.

Blastoise scanned them, then shouted: "BLASTOISE!"

Then he activated Hydro Pump for the second time.

Wheeeeesh SHING!

All the trees were cut, and many Pokémon ran away.

Blastoise watched the Pokémon running away. He had deliberately not killed them; he just wanted them to leave.

Seeing them run away, he sighed in relief and lost consciousness.

"PARTNER!" Kanraku rushed towards Blastoise, crying. "Partner, I'm sorry, I've caused you trouble."

"Partner, just stay alive, please don't die," Kanraku hurriedly used his power on him.

Floyd, witnessing the scene, was shocked by Blastoise's power.

It was immense.

It was truly comparable to Dragonite Mother; he even felt this Blastoise was stronger.

Then, seeing Kanraku's power, he was astonished. Did he have a power similar to his but slightly different? Was it Psychic? No, Aura? No, Dragon Power? No, could it be a power similar to Viridian? There were rumors that Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket, had a similar power; could it be like that?

"Professor…" Floyd hesitated for a bit, then rushed towards him and muttered.

"F-f-floyd san, hu, hu, F-floyd san," Kanraku cried as he gripped Floyd's shoulder.

"P-professor, it hurts, w-what is it?" Floyd asked, seeing Kanraku's crying face as he tightly held his shoulders.

"Floyd… huhu… my partner… his vitality… it's depleting. Floyd, you know medicine, right? Help me, hu hu, I don't want my partner to die," Kanraku cried.

"W-w-what… what did you say?" Floyd's mouth widened in shock.

"My partner… Blastoise's vitality is decreasing," Kanraku repeated.
