Pokemon: Dark Times

Darius was just a young adult who suddenly found himself in a whole different world. He soon learned it was the Pokemon world. With the help of a floating screen, he's going to survive and thrive. Now, if only he could stop being the wandering version of a Pokecenter... --- Read my name - read it. Got it? Then go on, if you want, if you feel uncomfortable about men kissing, then turn around and go away. Also, another thing, there will be Fusion Pokemom (from the Pokemon Fusion game, because Yes) and Fakemon. It's because I want to.

05: A Rough Day

[Day 12]

"Cerberus, use Ember!"

The flickering weak-looking flame of the Ember flew toward the flying angry bird, or rather, the angry bird impacted against the small flame as he rushed forward with his beak glowing a bright pale silvery color that represented the Flying Energy it was channeling to use the move Peck against the black and red small canine Pokemon, who stood still until he heard the same voice that previously commanded him: "Cerberus, as we trained. Flame Jump!" Flame Jump is not a real move, and it isn't categorized as a new move, however, it is the combination of the act of jumping with the move Ember, since this move was so basic- It sent a puff of small flames full of Fire Energy -it could be used in a few different ways that seemed to be effective.

For example, the move didn't need to be released from Pokemon's mouth as many fire types do! (Because, if you needed a mouth to use move, pokemons without a mouth wouldn't be able to us it.) So, the question is, what happens when an Ember hits the ground? The energy dissipates in a rush of heat, heat that also works as an impulse! A small, really small explosion of energy that can push the Pokemon forward.

So, combined with jumping, what happens?

With a small popping sound from his paws, Cerberus jumped with all his strength, barely dodging the angry bird pokemon that hit the ground, making dust and dirt fly everywhere and obscuring Darius' vision- He cursed under his breath, without him seeing, how can he help his Pokemon?

The answer was simple: Bonding.

When a trainer and Pokemon Bond, they can understand each other and share things between them, Darius himself wasn't aware of what the bond could bring him, he only knew that a day after meeting the Sableye and Phantump duo, Cerberus acted a little insecure and sad so Darius reassured him they'd be partners for life, Cerberus was Darius' best friend and first Pokemon after all!

And that was when it happened - this cord connected their minds? Like, they were more aware of each other's intentions and wishes, which eased communication between them to more than just a "Bark once for yes, twice for no" situation. His Affinity to Dark Types also seemed to affect the bond shared between the little Houndour and him because it was stronger than what it was supposed to be, he knew it thanks to his class [Basic Pokemon Trainer] that made him very aware of that.

So with trust in mind, Darius shouted: "Fire Spin!" There was a silent moment before this five by five feet of spinning flames appeared, within the flames was this confused and hurt Spearow, the flames would every once in a while lash out and slam against the Spearow's feathers, blackening them just a little bit! However, the way this move worked was that Cerberus created this whirling whirlwind of flames around his body to trap enemies inside with him, where he isn't affected by the move but the other Pokemon are, creating an arena for them to fight in where the enemy will constantly take damage! "Shit-" The enemy Spearow did move way too quickly while its body glowed this white color - A Quick Attack!

Cerberus couldn't dodge it in time, so Darius prepared himself - The moment the impact of the quick Spearow hit Houndour, Darius yelled: "Counter!" The way Counter worked was simple: Any damage or impact dealt to the Pokemon will be temporarily absorbed and used to power up the move, thankfully due to this being one of Cerberus' Egg Moves, his Counter was already at [E] rank, which meant he could absorb about 50% to 70% of the attack (Darius isn't sure) and reverse it to the attacker! "Grrr-" Cerberus growled menacingly for a moment before a Fighting aura surged around his little body, Cerberus instantly lashed out with a tackling ram against the Spearow that just impacted against him, making the Spearow cry out in pain as it fell, having been defeated.

Even if the Pokemon was a flying type, he didn't have much "HP" left anyway.

"Good boy, Cerberus." Darius patted Cerberus's head, making the good boy happy, then he looked over at the fallen Spearow and back at Darius, with puppy eyes - "Fine, we can eat it." Darius was still a little apprehensive about eating Pokemon - Not that they weren't delicious if prepared correctly, thankfully the majority of Pokemon don't have Sapience, or else that would be weird... A Wild Pokemon unlocks Sapience (Sense of Self, also known as knowing what the fuck is going on, and depression.) at a specific rank depending on their specie- Pokemon tend to unlock their Sentience (A sentient being has consciousness, the capacity for sensation, and a subjective experience. Many animals can be described as sentient, although it's hard to know for sure what's going on inside a fish's head.) when they're Rank 1, some even are born Sentient, while other Wild Pokemon unlocks their Sapience between rank 3 or 5.

Another way for a Pokemon to unlock their Sapience is to bond, either to a strong Sapient Pokemon or a human, and like that, they unlock Sapience. That's how all the Butterfrees at Butterfree Forest have a degree of Sapience! The Leader Butterfree is a Rank 5 [Elite] Pokemon, Butterfrees unlock their Sapience at Rank 5, it seems...

Anyway, Cerberus has his newfound Semi-Sapience because he bonded to Darius! Darius also received some things from him, like how he received an extra 50 points of energy to use on his skills.

Let's take a look?

<~°•°~°•°~°•°~°•°~>

"C'mon Cerberus-" The reason they were fighting a Spearow is that they started to come more to this side of the forest, soon a war is coming, and Darius is preparing to act as a nurse to heal all Pokemon and protect the little ones, he and Cerberus will protect the little Caterpies and Metapods, Darius healed the Butterfree Leader so now he was back at the game. "-we still need to go back and see if the little ones have eaten their food -"

However, Darius asked him to reinforce their defenses so as to not risk the little ones, and the Butterfree leader agreed that their priority in this was to protect the future generation.

And that's how Darius became the official Pokemon babysitter.

But peace was not upon them.

"Fearow!" Darius froze when he heard that Pokemon's cry, his head snapping towards the trees as a large bird Pokemon came rushing through the leaves and branches. "Cerberus -" Darius looked down at his companion: "-run."

And they did!

Thankfully, energy wasn't the only thing that Darius received from Cerberus. He also received a portion of the little one's speed, which meant he could run faster now!

"Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!" "Spearow!"

"Oh, shit-" Yeah, Spearows started attacking and flying at them!

What a rough day...

And it hasn't ended yet.
