David never thought he would be transmigrated after a tired day of work. Waking up to the feeling of nausea. But there he was... Now on his feet up in the middle of a dark room with his other siblings there. "I'm Forrest?" Looking around David was shaken as he assessed his situation. David was in for a surprise as the son of Flint and the second eldest of the family as Brock's little brother. ___________________ There will be no "Levels" or "Talents". The Story will be more realistic with add-ons by myself of course. But I won't make the story "dark" as I enjoy Pokemon for the brighter side of the series and catching Pokemon. Some cities, towns, or small pieces of information will be made up myself to fit the story.

Ancient Pokemon

With my attention now on Clefairy and double checking my free Poke balls were here, I didn't get the pleasure to see the sight of Squirtle doing an absolute bomb of a cannonball dive right above us.

Feeling a slight wind to my side, my eyes see a blurry blue turtle fully sending himself to the bottom. Clefairy and I immediately turning our heads, look on in awe with both our jaws wide open at this.

"SQUIRTLE!" He shouts in excitement, joy clear in his tone.

"Cle clefairy?" Clefairy asks looking at me with the side of her eyes wrinkled a little in disbelief.

"I think that was him..." I say right after with a dumbfounded look. With some sweat going down my face, the rest of us were still making our way down slowly.

Thankfully it didn't take long before I heard the turtle Pokemon start to shout.

"Squirtle squirt!"

You could just see the bottom from the top but it should only take a few minutes to make it down.

My surroundings were very plain but floating down with sunlight following me made it a little cool. There were a multitude of rock structures that reached from the bottom all the way to the top acting like pillars in a sense.

Besides a few puddles, there wasn't much else I could spot using the initial sunlight from the hole above. It took a few more minutes but after a little bit, we were about to land next to the energetic circle before I felt a weird breeze of wind.

*Swoosh*

'This came from the cave itself and not above. Some caves do have an air stream but this one was a bit too strong.' I thought getting a bad feeling.

Looking over to where the wind is coming a shiver goes down my spine as the dark "looked back" at me. It was a pair of white eyes which had its whole body hidden by the shadows.

"Sh*t, Lairon get into position now, everybody get next to me!" It seems like Squirtle made a little bit too much noise, or maybe it was a hole opening up but that's not relevant right now.

Lairon hearing my voice gained a serious expression and identified the problem immediately. With all my Pokemon besides Lairon and Squirtle tensing up a little. The unidentified Pokemon right after my words started to gain some height confusing me.

'Is it a Kabutops or Aerodactyl?' I thought furrowing my eyebrows. While the chance of it being a different Pokemon is possible, there weren't many species in Kanto that could survive in a cave like this.

But my thoughts were soon answered as the glowing eyes started heading my way. It just took a second before a grey blurry body was speeding its way to me.

With widened eyes, I couldn't react as my ace didn't get to position himself yet. But last second a blue circle bashed into the grey Pokemon.

*CRASH!*

With a life-saving {Protect} being used as some sort of {Tackle} like a shield bash, the now visible Aerodactyl was just a couple of metres away mid-air with bloodshot eyes.

"LAIRONNN!" Lairon roared challenging the Pokemon to battle.

The Aerodactyl slowly making some distance and landing, proceeded to rub its eyes with its right hand after its clearly disturbed nap. It should have only been around a year and a half before this poor guy was woken up from his centuries-long sleep by Ash, he now has to deal with my bullsh*t.

Not sure how old he is though.

Funnily enough, he must be more sleep-deprived as his sleep should be lessened. He probably used the move {Tailwind} before helping him out in the air.

"AEROOOO!" It roars back as it soon after sends a {Whirlwind} in our direction.

"Lairon {Metal Sound} to counter, then hold {Rock Tomb}!"

Quickly palming Clefairy and grabbing the frozen Treecko into my clutches, the {Metal Sound} just collided with the {Whirlwind}.

To my surprise, the metal sound got cancelled out as some of the leftover {Whirlwind} still made its way towards us.

*Whiff!*

"Hold on tight guys..." I mutter hugging the two while Tyrogue and Squirtle can handle themselves. While Lairon's sheer weight kept him still taking the brunt of the wind, Tyrogue had a hand inside the ground with Squirtle holding onto him.

"FAIRYYYYYY!" She screamed making Treecko have some visible veins on his face. This escalated to him smacking the fairy, silencing her with visible tears.

'This situation was a bit troublesome.' A bit annoyed I start to focus up as this is nothing Lairon can't handle.

The purpose of this visit is to catch Pokemon and ganging up on the guy wouldn't get his respect and make him more rogue. So there was unfortunately only one choice that could be made right now.

Swiftly letting the two out of my grasp I run into position, directly parallel to the two other Pokemon about to engage again. As I got into place Lairon just got his {Rock Tomb} up while Aerodactyl started to fly upwards wanting to gain momentum to attack.

"Before it gets close {Head Smash} its right wing and then {Rock Tomb}."

A small detail I observed was that it used its right hand to rub its eyes. While it doesn't guarantee that it's the Pokemon's preferred hand, it still has a good chance to be. Imagine trying to punch without any fighting experience with your awkward hand.

That's probably what it would feel like attacking with this weakening its potential balance.

"AEROO!"

Watching it start to dive down gaining speed Lairon didn't lose focus as it waited patiently for the Fossil Pokemon to attack.

*Swoosh!"

Lairon watched as the Pokemon went in a straight line towards itself, slightly moving towards the right. With a bright brown glow covering the armour Pokemon's head, it charged forward, directly challenging the contact.

*BOOM!*

Watching the two collide, a huge dust cloud started to gather making my vision useless.

But just half a second later the dust was cleared as the Aerodactyl did a single audible flap of its wings making me sweat a little.

'Damn.' I thought looking back on the intimidating Pokemon as it stared into my eyes.

This ended working in my favour as I saw boulders all around heading towards the flying Pokemon at breakneck speeds as if each one was a {Rock Throw}. The Aerodactyl turning its head making me think it snapped its own neck, stared at the incoming boulders with a smug look.

It proceeded to have a jolly time speeding its way past multiple boulders. As one is about to hit it, the monster just flapped its wing effortlessly creating a shockwave that broke four more boulders away from it.

*Crack!*

*Crack!*

*Crack!*

Apparently, the little hit to its wing didn't do much or anything at all. I guess I'll need Lairon to keep on hitting it. Taking a glance at my Pokemon I could visibly see some dirt marks on its white armour.

Lairon stumbled a little making my heart beat a little faster.

'This is a bit more dangerous than I originally thought, even with max {Iron Head} its damage is monstrous. F*ck!' I thought feeling somewhat excited.

Even if I used all my Pokemon to team up on it, would I still be able to escape alive? That's not even mentioning the other fossil Pokemon here. As the fight went on a few Kabuto and Omanyte started to gather around watching the ensuing battle.

This wasn't the ideal situation, to be honest.

"Store some boulders above where he can't see if possible, keep on targeting his wing with {Head Smash}," I command seeing the Fossil Pokemon already on its way back.

"Lai!" He responds with a determined nod.

Taking my sight off the battle for a little bit I crouch down and whisper.

"Clefairy, sneakily use {Heal Pulse} on Lairon, and walk a little bit away." The pink ball hearing this just nodded and tip-toed out of the way, hiding behind Tyrogue and Treecko.

While a {Heal Pulse} from a distance away wasn't that effective, every bit helps in this situation.

The other Pokemon watching the battle could only look on with awe as they gained a new type of respect for Lairon. With bright stars in their eyes, even Treecko, couldn't deny how Lairon was the ace of the team.

*BOOM!*

*BOOM!*

*BOOM!*

A few direct attacks kept on going as the visibly exhausted Lairon had marks all over its body, barely holding on. I'm not sure he would survive without the silent healing from Clefairy,

But thankfully the Aerodactyl couldn't keep shrugging off the attacks as with its predictable attack patterns and the 2x effective rock attack constantly ramming it. The effects of the stacking damage showed fruit.

The Pokemon still looking much healthier than Lairon looked awkward mid-air. Instead of its preferred high position for momentum, it lowered itself to the ground a little which made me smirk.

'It's working.' Looking at the uneven and overcompensating flapping in front of me, my mind thought it was time.

"Let the {Rock Tomb} rain down and lead it towards a few rock pillars."

With these set orders and a little bit of cheeky healing from the side, Lairon was fully set, not raring to go but pacing himself. The armour Pokemon's eyes started to glow brighter than any other instance as over 40+ boulders above Aerodactyl started to move.

The Fossil Pokemon not realising this just kept itself close to the ground as its old smug grin was now just a frustrated stare.

Not willing to attack irrationally due to health but not wanting to back down.

"AEROOO!" It roars gaining a glow in its wings, which seems to be {Wing Atack}.

Lairon who positioned himself in between a few rocky pillars just smugly looked at the Fossil Pokemon to taunt it even more. Luckily this did end up working as bulging veins could be seen from the flyer.

But by the time it tried to go for an attack, the horde of boulders started to arrive causing the guy to go off course.

*Crack!* *Crash!*

As Aerodactyl navigated and tired itself by constantly dodging and destroying rocks, it didn't understand it was being led towards a pillar that was just a few metres away. With a few more boulders in a row coming from behind it, the flyer tried to dodge forward only to hit the pillar.

*Boom!* *Crumble*

A few seconds after watching that little impact, the body of the Pokemon dropped onto the floor without any extra movement. The Pokemon was probably knocked out or exhausted as hell which I sure would be as well.

Lairon who was still a bit suspicious slowly walked towards it as its head was facing down, and to my ire, it was still awake.

"Row!" Hearing its last-ditch effort, I just took a free Pokeball from my bag and sent out one last command.

"Knock it out with {Metal Sound}."

*Screech!*

The noise directly hitting the poor guy with no resistance, couldn't recover from it and gained swirls in its eyes. Now taking my Poke ball I give it a good throw.

*Phszszszt!*

Watching it shake a few times it expectedly got caught.

*Ding!*

Hearing that little iconic noise a sense of relief went through my body which I've never felt before in my life.

"Let's go boys!" I shout in excitement. Letting this bad boy out will be reserved for a different week, for now, I must clear out the rest of the Pokemon here.

Due to the little commotion, the others aren't so happy.

Before I can celebrate this little win why not add some more fossil Pokemon to my PC and potentially have some private land to store them all. While I might be thinking too much ahead here, it would be useful.

The idea of breeding them with each and flexing them brings a smile to my face. It's not really for clout as I don't think they are rarer than a Crystal Onix, but they prove my word of "Wanting to catch rare Pokemon" back in that interview.
