Pokemon: Blood Bonds

Twenty-two years old, a young man named Alan dies but is born in a new world due to his good karma. What world, you may ask? Of course, it's the world of Pokemon. Will he keep his memories? Will he get a system or a cheat like other Mc's? Well, you will have to read to find out. Follow Alan on his journey in the world of pokemon. ***Disclaimer*** I am not knowledgeable about pokemon games and this is how I always imagine myself in the world of pokemon. The story will be slow as I don't want the mc to grow super op in just few chapters. I hope you give my book a chance. I do not own anything related to pokemon except my Oc characters.

Friendly Battles?

In a large room decorated with expensive things, a group of people was eating their dinner. Weirdly, unlike how Alex and Red had a 'small fight' in the morning, they both talked happily to each other, and so was Blue. And from what Alan could tell, they were close or at least knew each other for a long time.

"What did you do after the tournament?" asked Prof. Oak as he looked at Alan, hoping to break the ice.

"I trained moves with Eve since we could do nothing else except occasionally given battle missions," replied Alan with a nonchalant face.

"I want to have a battle with you," exclaimed Ash, with his face just as serious as Alan, "Pikachu and I had a lot of fun while we also tried to train as much as we could. We need someone with the same level as us whom we can fight."

"Is it okay if I use my second pokemon? Eve is healing right now and undergoing some tests," asked Alan, hoping that Shin could get some fighting experience.

"Sure, I too have a second pokemon I got today," said Ash with a thumbs up.

"You think a random pokemon you caught from the forest can keep up with mine?" asked Gary from the side.

"Who cares about potential? I can raise it later on, and it was given to me by dad, so I am sure it has good potential," retorted Ash.

Alan, who heard their conversation, was amazed by the way Ash thought.

Though he was not strict with what potential pokemon he wanted, he would not randomly catch a pokemon from the wild, especially since most wild pokemons have Red potential. But when he heard that it was given to him by Red, he was sure it would have a good potential.

"Why not fight mine instead?" asked Gary as he looked at Alan, but later just shook his head.

"I will fight him before you, since he asked me first," as he said those words, he stood up from his seat and looked at Prof. Oak, "can we use the battlefield in your house?"

"Come, I will take you there; I want to see a battle among you guys," said Blue as he too stood up and led them to a battlefield within the house. Others too followed after them since they looked forward to the fight among the three.

They kept walking before they reached a large door, and as Blue went ahead and opened it, a large pokemon battlefield appeared before their eyes.

Ash ran and took one end of the battlefield while Alan walked over to the other. Prof. Oak walked to the referee's spot as he said in his loudest voice.

"Are you both ready for battle?"

"Yes," they both said at the same time.

"Introduce yourselves."

"Alan Salvador."

"Ash Ketchum."

"This is a one on one battle between Alan and Ash; this match will end when one side is either unconscious or unable to battle."

"Begin."

"Shin, I choose you."

"Go, Pidgey."

"Shin, use Agility and Bulk up."

"Pidgey, use tackle."

As both trainers gave their commands, the pokemons used the respective moves they were told to use.

Shin finished his Agility, but before it could even begin Bulk Up, Pidgey slammed into him with a Tackle.

"Good job Pidgey, you are the best."

*PRREEEEE*

"Don't worry, use Bulk Up once again," said Alan as he saw Shin get restless after being hit and decided to calm him down.

"Pidgey, show them what you got; use Tackle once again."

This time, Shin finished his Bulk up before Pidgey could even reach it.

"We are set now; get ready for punching," said Alan, and it immediately brought a smile on Shin's face, "let it get close and use Thunder Punch."

Ash, who heard what Alan said, knew he was in trouble. Before he could ask Pidgey to stop her tackle, she was already upon Shin, who was waiting for her with a Thunder Punch ready.

He took a step back and threw his fist forward, as fast as he could, straight into Pidgey's head.

The poor bird was sent flying across the field before it struggled to fly once more, but it was clearly on its last leg after that super-effective Thunder Punch.

"Pidgey, don't let them set the battle; use Air Slash," commanded Ash, trying to maintain distance after Shin had used Thunder Punch.

"Use Quick Attack and close upon it."

Shin was surrounded in white light before it ran towards Pidgey, who was flapping its wings while sending Air Slashes towards his way. He nimbly dodged all of them as he made his way towards his opponent.

"Pidgey, don't let it get close, fly higher."

*Preee*

"Grab it by the leg."

The Pidgey nodded its head and flew into the air, but Shin was already below it. He jumped into the air, grabbing Pidgey's leg.

"Slam it into the ground," said Alan, and Shin threw his opponent on the ground before Alan asked him to follow up, "use Thunder Punch."

Small threads of electricity crackled around his right fist, Shin let the gravity pull him to the Pidgey before sending his fist covered in electricity towards it.

*Screech*

As the Thunder Punch hit it head-on, pidgey gave an ear-shattering screech due to pain, but Shin did not stop since Alan did not ask him to.

He kept punching the little bird, which was now below his feet. He threw a fist after fist covered in electricity before Pidgey lost consciousness.

"Pidgey is no longer able to battle; the winner is Kubfu. The victory goes to Alan Salvador," announced Oak before Ash returned the Pidgey to its Pokeball while giving it encouraging words.

"You are powerful," said Ash as he looked at Alan, "even during that tournament, you were the only one to put a fight against Cynthia. I may have lost this one, but I have another Pokemon."

He pointed at the Pikachu sitting on his shoulder.

"Wait, it is my turn," said Gary from the side as he pushed Ash off the battlefield, "I want to fight against him with my second pokemon as well and show him who's the boss."

He then looked at Alan with a slight smirk, "what do you say? Or are you too afraid to say anything?"

Alan ignored him and looked towards Oak as if asking, 'what should I do with this one?'

Oak just shook his head before he asked Alan if he was ready, "you can choose not to battle since you have already done one, and your pokemon might need rest."

"What do you want, Shin?" instead, Alan asked his pokemon for what he wanted.

"Kub-Kub!" he raised his fist towards Gary to challenge him to a battle.

"Then it is settled," said Alan with a smile as they once again introduced each other for the fight.

"Alan Salvador."

"Gary Samuel Oak."

"Begin."

"Nidoran, I choose you!" said Gary before throwing a Pokeball straight into the battlefield.

It flashed in bright light and a pokemon appeared before everyone's eyes.

[Nidoran

Type: Poison

Level: 7

Potential: Deep Green

Stage: Beginner Stage (Low)]

"Hoh? Interesting," said Alan as he saw the pokemon in front of him. The last evolution of Nidoran was Nidoking, and it was known to be a powerful pokemon.

He was sure Gary would have another powerhouse in his team if he trained it properly.

"Let's use this one to train a different move," said Alan as he knew what he was going to do to break Gary a little, "follow me as you use Bullet Punch."

Alan took a fighting stance, and Shin understood what Alan was teaching him and thus took the same fighting stance.

"Is he going to train his pokemon in mid-battle?" asked Purple as she looked at both Alan and Shin, who stood facing their opponent with a similar fighting stance.

"They are Aura partners; hence they are fine-tuned with each other. Though not as much as a Blood Bond, an Aura partner shares many things with its trainer. It would easily follow the movements of Alan with Aura," explained Red before he looked towards Alex, "I never believed you would go challenge a legendary and beat it so you can gift your son a Mystical Pokemon."

"I have never given him anything, so before he went on his journey, I wanted to provide him with a pokemon he could rely on, and I think an Urshifu would be an excellent addition to his team," explained Alex before he continued with a small laugh, "and we never beat her, I don't know where you heard that from. It is not a joke to beat a Legendary pokemon, and you should know it too. Just the aftermath of our fight would have been visible across regions. We just gained her acknowledgement, and she let Rio mate with her to give birth to Shin."

Everyone nodded their heads at Alex's words understanding what he meant except Red, who knew Alex was hiding something. He was sure Alex had beaten the Legendary pokemon; he had also tried to look into it but never found any traces of battle.

'Is he telling the truth? Did they not defeat a Legendary?' he asked himself in his mind, 'I tried to force him to reveal some of his strength by pressuring Alan like Prof. Oak said, but...'

While the adults had their little conversation on the battlefield, Gary was fuming because Alan was using him as a practice dummy rather than treating him as an opponent.

"Nidoran, use Poison Sting."

At Gary's command, the Nidoran started running towards Shin with its horn shining in purple light.

Alan and Shin, however, stayed in the same stance waiting for the opponent to make its way towards them.

"You need to remember a few things," as the Nidoran approached them, Alan gave Shin a small piece of advice, "never show mercy when you are in a fight. No matter who it is, always put everything you have to defeat them."

Shin nodded his head in understanding before he felt some movements in Aura. He knew what he had to do as it was conveyed to him by Alan himself.

"We will use Thunder Punch," said Alan before he took a step forward and punched out, and the air in front of him was blown away by that simple punch.

Nidoran was now upon Shin, and just as it was about to slam into him, Shin took a step forward and punched out with full strength, similar to Alan.

*ZZT* *ZZT*

Electricity crackled around his fist, and both he and Nidoran were sent sliding back.

"Good, but you need to work on your form a bit more," complimented Alan before he taught him the mistakes and how to correct them, "since we are using him as a punching bag, let him come to us."

Gary who was once again infuriated by Alan's words, looked towards his grandfather, "he is meddling with the pokemon battle."

A trainer was not allowed to influence the opponent using abilities or special powers like, Psychic or Aura during an official match.

However Oak just shook his head, "he is not influencing your pokemon in anyway."

Gary gritted his teeth and gave out another command, "use Take Down."

"Hmm?" Alan was surprised that the Nidoran knew Take Down, 'maybe it is an egg move?' he concluded.

"Once again, stay calm and use Thunder Punch."

Shin coated his right fist with electric energy once again and took the stance.

"Relax you shoulder."

He did as Alan taught him, trying to master how to punch.

"Lower your body a little."

He lowered his body and raised his right fist which was ready for a Thunder Punch.

"Use left hand for aim."

With the next advice, Shin raised his left hand in front of him as he locked it at Nidoran that was coming his way.

"Now, add some Aura to it," said Alan with a smile.

Shin closed his eyes and tried to bring out as much as Aura as he could control. Though it was very little, it gave him enough boost to face off the Nidoran that was almost upon him.

As he sensed his opponent getting closer, he opened his eyes and threw a punch just like before but this time, the results were different.

As he added Aura, the electricity around his fist became more intense while his physical strength was raised as well, giving his punch more strength than before.

*BANG*

Nidoran took the full brunt of the powered up Thunder Punch, while Shin took the full brunt of the Take Down. However, it was not as effective on him since he had countered most of it with his punch.

Nidoran once again slid back but this time Shin moved forward instead and both his fist were now covered in lightning.

"Rain those fists," said Alan before he looked at Gary who was thinking about what he should do.

"Use another Take Down," he said since it was the strongest move known to Nidoran other than it's innate skill.

Nidoran shook its head before it looked towards Shin who was coming towards him with lightning crackling in both fists. Though Gary had given him the order to use another Take Down, when it saw its opponent, it could not help but take a step back in fear.

Gary noticed this as well but before he could do anything, Shin threw a barrage of Thunder Punched one after the other and after a few, Nidoran was knocked unconscious.

"Nidoran is unable to battle, Kubfu is the winner. Victory goes to Alan," Oak declared the result of this match.

Gary gave a small sigh before he returned his pokemon, "you did great buddy," he said some praising words which surprised Alan.

'So he is a dick to others only?' wondered Alan as he saw Gary's behaviour. He thought Nidoran would be in for trouble but seemed it was not, 'that makes him a little tolerable.'

"We are not done yet," said Gary before he took out another pokeball and threw it in the air.

A Wartortle appeared in front of them as it looked at Shin with a menacing face.

"Do you want to use your main pokemon to continue this fight as well?" asked Oak since he knew where this was going and just as Alan was about to reply everyone heard a voice which left the most speechless and many angry.

"Use Ice Beam."
