LOG 47: The Next Piece

"Are you alright?" I told Valery. We hid in the bushes as the people scrambled about.

"Yes."

"You've got your stealth stuff with you?"

"Uh-huh? What for?"

"Something tells me we're not going to be able to get out immediately."

"You mean the police?"

"They're coming back for certain. We ought to get the piece and get out as quick as we can. Do you know where?"

She scratched her head and shrugged. "You have a Psychic Pokemon right?"

"No, Gardevoir must rest. I've used too much of her teleport power."

"No you didn't. Let's see. What place that looks common but is odd would be the perfect hiding spot in this island?" She leaned her head over the bush. "Ouch!" she said after a sharp torn pierced her.

"Underneath the circus?"

"That might be right but if we were to think, those guys just set that up before the show. Meaning, it wasn't there yesterday."

"Hmm... About that huge hanging rock that looks like a Pikachu?"

"Too obvious." She snapped her fingers. "Ah! And that's why it's the perfect hiding spot. Clever me."

"Yup, clever you," I sighed.

"So, how do we get up there without people noticing us?"

"Wait, don't you mean down?"

"No. Maybe up. We'll try up."

"Use your Aerodactyl to fetch it for us."

"No, it's too high. We really have to climb it. We'll go around, and then leave the rest to me. You trust me on this one?"

"Yes," I said.

Once we made it through without being spotted, Valery took out a bow and some of her sturdy arrows. She shot them on the back of the strange rock formation of a Pikachu in the direction of a zigzag.

"We'll climb these."

"Woah, you're sure this is safe?"

"What happened to trusting me? Of course it's safe. I've done this before."

"And when was that?"

"Just a day before my first leave."

"Leave?"

"Yeah. Got my back broken so I had to undergo a surgery."

I gulped. "Just don't be clingy on the edge. It might collapse."

"Phew. Okay. Let's do this."
