After the fall of the Pokemon Government Council, I make my way back to the headquarters with Professor Violet. With her on our grasps, we will be able to gather essential data about the strongest Pokemon, Mewtwo.
Just from the gates of the tower, I am immediately greeted with Charlotte's scowl. In response, I did a bit of sarcasm and smiled pleasantly.
"You took my suggestion seriously?! And how is the professor with you?!" Not only is Charlotte angry but shock as well to see the professor all tied up by vines.
"Oh, it's nothing serious. I just wrecked their whole organization and brought the trophy home. Relax, it's not like she's gonna escape or something." I smirk.
From there, the other grunts rush outside and handled the prisoner. Indeed, they were in total shock to see the professor.
With a pair of scissors, they cut the vines and replaced them with handcuffs. They then brought her to the depths of this tower, specifically the Basement Detainment Area.
"You wrecked the whole organization? Please tell me that's a metaphor." Charlotte sighs, hoping for all of it to be some childish joke.
"Of course not. Check the news, their whole organization is nothing but ashes." I murmur to her ears and proceed to the indoors.
Hearing those words, Charlotte is left with eagerness to check her Rotom-Phone. Although, she also begs for it to be a hoax.
"What in... the world?!" She goes to the official page of the Pokemon News Network to see the trending story. To her surprise, the PGC's headquarters has been burned.
She then double checks, by researching more on other news websites. Her eyes couldn't believe what they've seen. Every news network pertains to my actions even if the police do not know that these were the works of my hands.
In a rapid-pace, she sought to confront me. Through the halls, she dashes like a Rapidash, bumping the shoulders of some grunts, including Xavier.
"Why are you in a rush?" Xavier queries after being hit by Charlotte's arm.
"Have you seen Luna?!" She queries.
"Um, the last time I've checked she went back to your room. Is there anything wrong with her?" Xavier replies.
"Luna single-handedly defeated the Pokemon Government Council, it's all over the news, luckily only the both of us knows about this," Charlotte explains furthermore.
"At least we have the upper hand now." Xavier chuckles, uttering as if all of these gobbledygooks are nothing but child's play.
"Are you serious?! She murdered a plethora of troops, including the general. She also came back with the professor. Tell Giovanni about this, I will go look for Luna." Charlotte instructs, then continues her dash.
Upon her arrival, Charlotte sees me sleeping in my bed. My snores make her anger more intense to the point she thought of the most devilish idea to wake me up.
With a pail of cold water, she splashes me and my bed, causing my body to jolt upwards, hitting my head on her bed in return.
"Can't I sleep in harmony?! I had a long day." I demand in a frustrated voice.
Seeing me frustrated, she sits beside me, on my soaked bed then utters, "What do you want me to do? You've killed a lot of people and I'm left with two choices. Either call the cops on you, or in other words, integrity, or perhaps hide you from them."
"My aggression is my ally. I only hunt those who deserve to be killed. Those who are meant to regret their lives."
"Will you please stop talking like a villain? You're trying to creep me out." Charlotte looks to my eyes, desperately and sincere.
"There are no villains, just people with different agendas. What's done is done, and there is no turning back from the past." With a drowsy voice, I speak. I then give a huge yawn, and drop my body to the bed even if it was soaked with water.
In a nervous manner, Charlotte stares at me, watching me enter my slumber. However, all of that changed when Xavier intervenes.
"Luna Evergreen, Boss Giovanni wants to speak to you," Xavier reports, suddenly dispersing my drowsiness.
"M... me?" I choke my saliva while stuttering.
"Yes, you. Are there any other Lunas here? Anyways, the boss wants to have a one on one conference meeting with you.
Hurry up, he does not want his time to be wasted." Xavier adds.
Hearing those who words, I wonder if he called me to compliment or to punish me for my actions. Hopefully, he'll be proud of me, or perhaps even promote me as one of his executives.
"Go ahead Luna, just accept whatever the boss has to stay." From the moment I stand from my bed, Charlotte holds my waste and wrapped me with solace. I respond with a smile and proceeded to Giovanni's room.
Upon his doors, I am greeted by no other than the Secretary, Ms.Matori. Seeing my face, she gives me a delighted smile.
"Well done, it looks like you've defeated the Council and eased all of Team Rocket's operation. Giovanni is waiting for you inside." Matori appraises and opens the door for me. Hearing her words made me feel comfortable and happy.
The moment I enter, I saw Giovanni talking with Arlo. He seems to be showing the boss his new masterpiece, the rocket master ball. Primarily it has the same functions of the original Master Ball except that Arlo has added a few twitches in order to achieve originality. Some of these twitches include the color scheme and the obvious Rocket Logo in the button.
"Ah, there you are Luna, please come and take a seat." After seeing me eavesdropping them at the corner of the room, Giovanni stops his conversation with Arlo for a minute or two.
Without hesitation, I follow his instructions and sat at the opposite side of his table. Nowadays, I feel comfortable around the boss since I get to see him more often than before.
"I was supposed to scold you for leaving the tower without my permission, but I've noticed that you've done it for a good cause.
The blood of Team Rocket flows in your vessels. I see the looks of a woman who could soon take my position and claim the title of boss." Giovanni scowls, and appraises me.
"You have the capacity to take down an organization by yourself, therefore I entrust to you the next mission alone."
"A... alone?!" Hearing his words brought shock to my face.
"Yes, you see, we've gathered enough intel from our second mission in Lavender Town. Finally, Mr.Fuji was able to hand us the passcodes and therefore we were able to gain access to the Mewtwo database.
According to our leading officers, they've detected Mewtwo's location by the use of the database. Now, all I am asking you to do is to capture Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave."
"Capture Mewtwo alone?"
"Yes. My expectations for you are high, and therefore you have my trust and respect. With Arlo's Master Ball, all you need to do is to toss it at the Pokemon and it will be automatically captured.
Now, Luna, your mission, should you choose to accept?" Giovanni leans his head forward and queries with seriousness.
I am given thirty seconds to think of my answer. Although I was able to take down the council, I am uncertain if I can take down Mewtwo. After all, it is the strongest Pokemon in the world, isn't it?
However, if I disagree with Giovanni's plan, then I am afraid his ambitions won't be achieved and salvation won't be brought to this world.
In response to his question, I nod my head but in a frightened look of what is to come. I guess the only thing I could do is to rely on my Pokemons and Arlo's masterpiece.
"Sir if I may,"
"Go,"
"I wish to come with Luna and help her with the task." Arlo volunteers.
"I am afraid not, Luna will achieve Mewtwo at her own." Though he is talking to Arlo, he utters his words while looking at me.
Giovanni's decisions, however, left Arlo in a ferocious manner who seems to be hiding it from us. He then questions to Giovanni, "What if my proto-type fails all of a sudden?"
"In case of failure Luna, use this. Attach the microchip to Mewtwo's neck and it will automatically be paralyzed. Once it does, you can finally capture it with any Pokeball or Great ball." Giovanni instructs and places the Microchip on my grasp. Again, his actions seem to have a big impact on Arlo.
"But... that's also a prototype." Arlo sighs.
"I will be giving you a whole day to prepare. Good luck... agent Luna Evergreen."
From there, I gladly respond with a smile and left the room. Outside, I lean my body to the wall in order for my brain to process all of these sudden scenarios.
"Me? Capture Mewtwo at my own? How can I do this?" I think, trying to figure out a strategy.
