My head is pounding. Bladder full. I move my jaw and feel my mouth is dry, as I move I feel concrete and grit push into my face.
I jolt in fear. Where am I? I try to roll over but I was unable. Wherever I am it is very dark, but I could just make out a dark, figure squatting a few meters away from me, watching me.
I open my eyes, to see myself inside a wooden cottage. In front of me is an old woman with a very peculiar face. She has a cane with a Pokeball on top. The woman also has a greying blonde hair with ebony pupils.
She stares at me and queries, "Who are you?"
With a hoarse throat, I respond, "Luna Evergreen. Where... Where, am I?" I then lean my upper torso to the wooden wall. I look unto my body, only to see bandages around me.
The incident comes rushing back to me. I fell off a cliff, with only a mere image of how Jenny looks like. I now wonder, where she is, or how's she feeling.
"Ah, if that is the case, I will call you Luna instead. My name is Agatha of the Elite Four." The old lady introduces with a cunning smile. My body suddenly feels in with exuberance after seeing an Elite in person.
"The Elite Four?!" I beam with exuberance.
"Yes, you are correct my dear." Agatha nods her head when suddenly a teapot starts to disperse an irritating sound. She wacks her cane on the ground, and a weird silhouette starts to appear out of nowhere. It has a devilish smile, with crimson red eyes.
The Pokemon then emerges to the ground and stops the fire heating up the kettle. It has a violet pigment with tiny murky horns on its head.
The Pokemon pours the tea to a cup and gives it to me. I respond with a smile, only to express my gratitude. On the other hand, the Pokemon also responds with a smile despite how devilish it looks.
"No need to be afraid my dear, this is Gengar. She's my partner." Agatha introduces while rubbing Gengar's head.
[Gengar! The shadow Pokemon! A poison and ghost type. Deep in the night, your shadow cast by a streetlight may suddenly overtake you. It is actually a GENGAR running past you, pretending to be your shadow.] The Kanto Dex informs further details about the shadow Pokemon.
"How nice." I smile pleasantly, then take a sip from the hot tea.
"Ms.Agatha, are you the one who saved me from the cliff?"
"No, don't thank me. Thank Gengar, he's the one who found you lurking in the woods."
"If that's the case, thank you Gengar." I tilt my head towards him and expressed my deepest gratitude.
"So, tell me, dear. Where do you come from?" Agatha queries with one of her eyebrows lifted.
"Me? Um..." I am left with speechless, for I do not want an elite to know that I'm a member of Team Rocket. The only excuse I could make is to say I'm from Viridian City.
If I say I live in Saffron City, Agatha won't believe me since Saffron and Viridian Forest are two places far from each other.
"Viridian City."
"Viridian City? And what's a teenager like you doing in the woods? Don't tell me you're a member of the Pokemon Government Council, are you?"
"No, I don't belong to them. May I please ask if you and the Elite Four are supporting the Government Council?"
"Hmm, why do you ask?" Agatha queries with suspicion towards me.
"It's nothing. I'm just curious that's all." I respond with a crocodile smile for deep inside I wanted to know more about the Elite Four and the council.
"Well, I can't leave a curious mind behind. No, the Elite Four does not support any organization. That includes the Government Council.
Both Team Rocket and the Government Council are up to no good. All they want is to claim Mewtwo for themselves.
As Elite Fours, our duty is not to only fight trainers for the title of champion, but to also protect the citizens of the Kanto and Johto Region." Agatha explains.
"Kanto and Johto? But doesn't the Johto Region have a league of its own?"
"I'm afraid not. You see, the Kanto and Johto used to be one region, but they suddenly split for some odd reason. Anyways, if one of them claims Mewtwo, then they'll be doing the opposites of their goals."
"But, Team Rocket will use Mewtwo for the better good right? Cures, and vaccines. Humanity will become a better version of themselves."
"... And how do you know so much about them?" Agatha queries with suspicion.
"Umm... I just saw it in a local newspaper that's all." I respond with a fake excuse, and inside of me, I scolded myself for leaking Team Rocket's details.
"Since you're all feeling better now, why don't you return to your house? Your mother and father must be waiting for you." Agatha advises.
I then look to my reflection which could be seen through the tea. I saw my scar, and it reminds me of my former father whom I killed.
"I... I don't have any parents." I look back to her and respond even if I know I have a mother. As much as possible, I don't want to return to Saffron City.
"Is that so? Are you an orphan? If you are, then that means you're from Saffron City since that is the only orphanage in this region. Or perhaps, there is one in Viridian City that I haven't heard about?" Slowly by slowly, Agatha starts to know my true identity. I am left speechless, pinned by my own words.
"Gckk!" I respond and choke my own saliva.
"Tell me about your true identity. Who are you and where are you from? I see the eyes of a girl who's trying to run from her past."
"I... I..." I respond with uncertainty when suddenly I was saved my an interruption.
"Luna?! Luna?!" The voice of familiar people start to yell my name. Agatha then peaks out to the window only to see three rocket grunts and one officer.
"So. You are a member of Team Rocket." Agatha tilts her head back to me with malice. Even her calm Gengar starts to infuriate.
