Morning has arrived for the skies of Johto. I still remember what I did yesterday, bringing such a traumatic event to Emily who was sleeping peacefully. If it wasn't for the steam, I wouldn't have fall and Emily wouldn't have jerk and wake up all of a sudden. But now that morning has arrived, Emily has awakened once more, alongside her sister Ebony in order for a new day to commence as members of the Rebirth Society.
Their daily routine starts off with making their bed. Even me and Virgo do this every morning. A tidy bed helps ease the work of the maids. After fixing the bed, they proceed to the family's personal and private dining room in order for them to gobble up some food for breakfast.
Their personal and private dining room is closed to every single grunt or high ranking officer. No one is allowed to enter except for Lilith and her children. Through this, the mother is given an opportunity to dine and communicate with her daughters. This helps improve their bonds with each other. Aside from the family, the chefs are allowed to enter, only if their purpose is to serve food.
"Good morning darlings." Lilith greets, seeing her sleepy daughters enter their personal dining room. Emily enters with her Eevee plushy, while Ebony enters with her Sneasel plushy. Even twins like them are fond of playing with stuffed toys despite their mature age of sixteen.
As they enter, they yawn deeply, stretching their hands as far as they could reach. They then proceed to their respective chairs. The table is surrounded by only three chairs. One for every member of the family. They are supplied with napkins, and as always, the food is ready.
"I'm sleepy," Emily utters softly, taking a bite from her sandwich.
"I know. Forget what happened yesterday. Team Rocket are like teenagers, always desperate for vengeance." Lilith says, taking a sip from her morning brew of green tea.
"That Luna! She's always a trouble-maker. She keeps on ruining things, but she fails to do so anyways." Ebony teases me, taking a sip from her warm milk. She then wipes her mouth.
"After breakfast, I want you to proceed to Professor Violet right away."
"What for mother?" The two questions with a synchronized voice.
"She has... She has a present for the two of you. It will help you with your future mission, and that is to acquire the mirage of lightning, Zapdos." Their mother responds.
"Wait, Zapdos has been found? That was quite quick." Ebony says with a shocked look on her face.
"Hmm, yes, but you won't be taking the mission just yet. Professor Violet will be training you on how to use her gadgets and equipment, required for both safety and mission purposes.
Zapdos is an Electric-type, and I can't let my two little darlings get electrocuted. Your father would completely scold me if I just randomly let you acquire the mirage."
The two agree, concurring with the words of their mother. Just before they left the dining room in order to proceed to the laboratory of Professor Violet, Ebony's name is quickly called by her mother.
"I will wait for you outside, sister." Emily smiles, letting Ebony and Lilith have their conversation privately.
"What is it, mother?" Ebony questions to Lilith.
"Please take a seat," Lilith instructs. Ebony responds by choking her saliva, frightened and scared of what her mother is about to do to her. Usually, if mothers would call their daughters like this, it is a sign of another sermon or a mother-daughter talk. That's what Athena instructs me to do every time I do something against her. She'd ask me to sit right in front of her as I prepare to listen to her sermons and disciplinary actions towards my own deeds.
"Did I do anything wrong mother?" Ebony assumes.
"No, no. Not at all. I just want this conversation to be between you and me. Whatever we talk about, keep it between us. Understood?"
"Yes, mother."
"Now, your sister isn't aware of this," Lilith says, taking something from her pocket. She then places the object on the table.
"You know what to do with Luna once you encounter her again. I've trained you since you were young. You know where to aim for." Her mother whispers to her daughter's ears.
"Y... Yes mother. Leave the rest to me." Ebony replies, placing the object inside her pocket.
After their private conversation, Ebony stands from the chair and leaves the room with a plain face. No one inside the organization is aware of her conversation with her mother except for the two of them. Outside the room, Emily asks with interest in the conversation her sister had with Lilith, but Ebony refuses, fulfilling her promise to her mother.
I do have to note how desperate I am for chapter titles. Nope, the object is not a pistol/gun this time.
