EPISODE 60: Grief*

She pulls the black hood over her saturated form as she saunters in the soft rain, small pellets of water spitting on her hands as the remainder of the drops quench the scattered puddles decorating the asphalt.

Jenny knocks on the door, waiting for the guard to open it. The rain and her sorrows are in perfect synchronization. Both produce the sensation of quietude and grief.

"Jenny, what happened?" To her shock, it was my mother who opened the door. She immediately hugs Jenny, trying to restore her rambunctious nature.

Jenny hugs Athena back and cried on her chest. The tears didn't cease to stop for once the first tear broke loose the rest flowed like a stream imbued with sadness.

Athena asks her to enter and sit on one of the tables while she prepares her a warm glass of milk to ease her chilling bones.

On the table, Jenny is like a faucet, with her tears dripping like water. Her grief bothers my mother. Athena wonders what kind of foul memory would suddenly eliminate her jolly nature.

"Tell me what's wrong," Athena utters with a soothing voice. She sits on the other side of the table and placed Jenny's warm milk.

"I saw Luna." Jenny murmurs then takes a sip from the glass of warm milk. My mother's emotions shift into grief.

"Is she alright?" Athena queries, her voice stutters, trying to avoid her tears from flowing.

"I don't know. I told her to return but she didn't want too. I checked her police records, she killed someone."

"You must be insane Jenny, Luna is a lot of things, but she's not a murderer." Athena doubts.

Jenny hands over my police records soaked with rain and tears. Mother couldn't believe her eyes. Her hands shudder while reading the record.

"No, this can't be true."

"Police records don't lie headmaster. I'm afraid, that I have no choice but to help the police find her. I don't want to do this, but I have to." Jenny places down her head on the table as she moans for me. Her sorrow is so immense to the point every word became hiccups.

"Please don't hurt her. She can still change, I know she will."

"What if... what if she doesn't? When I looked at her eyes, I noticed that I wasn't talking to the Luna I've met before." Jenny stutters.

"Then, I'll be the one to do it instead. I want to find her so I can talk to her myself."

"Headmaster, she's too dangerous. She killed a person, and you might be the next person. She's a dog who has forgotten the teachings of her owner." Jenny lifts her head, insisting my mother to stay within the orphanage walls.

"I know deep inside that she'll recognize me. I want to meet her, she's my daughter." Athena persists.

"What if, she..."

"Then let it be, at least I'll be happy knowing that I've touched her face one last time." Mother interrupts, giving Jenny a very determined face to seek me.

The night grew more gloomy than expected as the downpour seized to stop. Soon, thunders crashed down upon Earth as the wind strengthened its power.

Jenny stayed on the table, finishing her glass of warm milk while my mother proceeds to her bedroom, preparing for a slumber.

The voices of my former self, during the times I stuttered echoed unto her mind. She missed my former voice, during the times when I used to draw and paint rather than going on missions and operations.

She placed her head to the table one last time before entering her room. She mourned, pleading in her mind for things to return the way they were.

My ties between Jenny have started to intensify, as so as the ties between Team Rocket and the PGC. With a dead daughter and laboratory filled with smoke which almost suffocated the whole city, what will be the PGC's next steps. What is my real father trying to plot this time?

I also miss Jenny, the laughter we had together will remain in my mind until the end of time. Only time will tell when I'll meet her again.

What could happen next? Stay tuned to find out!
