EPISODE 43: The Search Begins!

Inside her room designated by the detective himself on one of the Johto Branch of the Pokemon International Police. She types her daily report on her laptop, the usual of her morning with a cup of tea beside her. Jenny, despite her rambunctious nature, is also a hardworking officer. Even with a mere age of seventeen, Detective Looker recruited her because not only does her mother's skill flow through her vessels, but also because of her hard-working nature.

She does not sleep until the task is done, even I, her friend have noticed that back during our days together in the orphanage. However, with the death of the headmaster, her duties and obligations are split into two, making every day filled with perspiration and exhaustion. One, she works with not for the police, and two, she also has her own responsibilities back in the orphanage.

Her only Pokemon is Raichu, which evolved from a Pikachu. However, I am not quite certain when it evolved but obviously because of a thunderstone. Raichu, not only has a large appetite but is also handy when it comes to cases and missions such as what happened back in Vermillion City. She despises Pokemon catching, therefore she's fine with only one Pokemon.

<Rai! Rai!>Raichu pleads for attention, pulling the skirt of her trainer.

"Raichu, behave. We can eat breakfast once I'm done with the report. I'm about eighty-four percent complete." She responds back, paying attention to what she's typing.

<Raichu> Raichu becomes frustrated, however, ceases to give up right away. She continues to pull her trainer's skirt, annoying Jenny into pieces.

"Raichu please stop. I'll return you to your Pokeball if you won't stop. I have to finish this." Jenny warns, placing Raichu's Pokeball from her pocket to the table.

Then, the detective intervenes, knocking on Jenny's door and entering. He smiles, seeing Jenny working with perseverance. He then sits on a chair, facing parallel to Jenny's direction.

"Greetings Detective, may I be of assistance?" Jenny stops her work for a while, noticing the detective's sudden appearance. Raichu becomes jealous, seeing her trainer notice the detective more than her.

"Have you heard?" Detective questions, placing a yellow folder on her desk.

Jenny opens the yellow folder then reads it loudly, "An earthquake in Seafoam Islands, ranging from magnitude 4.5 to 5.2?"

"Not only that, read further."

"Team Rocket has been spotted, fighting with the Rebirth Society amidst one of the caves of Seafoam." Jenny becomes both shock and nervous, not only after what she read but also after seeing a picture of me fighting with Ebony. Little do we know that the Pokemon International Police has cameras everywhere.

"Detective, who would place a CCTV in a cave?" Jenny tries to change the topic.

"I don't know, the elites suggested it so why not? At least we get to see Articuno which apparently has been caught by the so-called Rebirth Society." Detective Looker replies sarcastically.

"... As for agent Luna, I am assigning you to arrest her for me. Too many, I have too many duties around the world. Sigh, there are even strange reports about goons who are either debating for more land or more water in the Hoenn Region. Conflict is arising throughout the world."

"Me? Capture Luna?"Jenny pauses then continues with a soft voice, "I am uncertain if I have the courage to do so."

"Strange. This is the first time you've disagreed with my assignment for you."

"Detective, I want to tell you the truth. To be honest, Luna Evergreen is my friend, and I could not bear to arrest a friend no matter what." Jenny reveals the truth while looking on her keyboard.

"I see, are you telling me you are afraid to arrest a friend? It is fine with me. However, for the sake of the region, I am asking you to at least talk to her to stop her wrong actions. If she persists to do wrong deeds, then I'm afraid I have to find and restrain your friend."

"I've tried many times detective. I've tried, but she won't listen to me. I've confronted her, begging earnestly, but she won't stop. I'm afraid Giovanni has corrupted her mind completely. I'm not sure whether to choose integrity or my friend."

"It falls under your decision, not mine, I'm just here to help you decide. Talk to her again, try-hard, and perhaps she will stop. If she persists, then integrity would be the right option, even if she is your friend." The detective gives Jenny some advice.

"I will try to find her again, and perhaps will risk my life to do so. And perhaps I will arrest her myself if she persists to fight. But detective, promise me that you will never hurt her if you find her before me."

"You have my word. I won't hurt your friend from this day onward, just promise me that you will find her." The two then shake hands after coming up with an agreement about me.

The detective leaves Jenny alone, in order for her to continue her work. At least that is what he thought she would do. Upon closing the door, with no one watching her anymore, she bows her head to the keyboard of her laptop.

"Oh Raichu, what will I do with her?" She questions, massaging the head of her Raichu.

<Rai! Rai!>Raichu points at her stomach, making Jenny giggle.

"You have a point, food does take my troubles away, however, I'd wish to do it with Luna. Of course, it's obvious you missed Lily too, right?"

<Rai!>Raichu nods sadly.

"Come on, let's grab some food before I finish this report of mine." Jenny starts to smile again, hugging her Raichu tightly.
