EPISODE 17: Looker!*

Olivine City, a place that rests near a bay in the far west of Johto. It is famous for its lighthouse which is located in the east of the city. It serves as the city's landmark and at the same time, guides ships passing through the region. Most of the ships are said to be coming from Sevii islands which is a group of islands located in the east of Kanto.

The helicopter drops me off at the north of the city, which is a hilltop. This is the usual during missions. A hilltop is the perfect place to scout the city, or in my case, it is the perfect place to identify the location of the PPD branch of Olivine.

With the goggles given to me by the professor, I start to scour the city with my eyes. In a quick glimpse, I was able to identify the location of the vicinity which has a distinguishing color of brown with its label hanging on the roof.

For now, there's no time to play the rat's game. I wanted to try something different since going through the vents all over again is somewhat lackluster to me. Besides, I have my Pokemons that I could rely on.

"Kirlia, deploy for action," I mutter in a soft voice, hiding behind the main gates of the vicinity. In front of me are two wardens protecting the main entrance from any intruders. With Kirlia, I reveal myself in front of the guards. I then commanded her to use confusion.

Unable to respond to my abrupt appearance quickly, the two guards became confused, walking like Aipoms that escaped from a zoo. Luckily the other wardens are inside the room, therefore they couldn't see their Aipom compadres.

With a single touch in the forehead, the two guards drop to the ground, remaining still with a fainted body. Upon entering the room, I am suddenly greeted by a dozen wardens who appear to be chatting with one another not until I disrupted them. Seeing me, they respond with a glare, releasing their Pokemons for attack.

"Liligant, is your turn!"

<Liligant!> With an elegant posture, Lily goes out of her Pokeball.

"Numel use Ember!"

"Houndour, Snarl!"

"Noctowl, Peck!"

"Sunflora, attack with Razor Leaf!"

The guards command with their Pokemons ready to follow. All in one, the Pokemons charge to me, Liligant, and Kirlia.

"Lily! Show them how powerful you are, Energy Ball!" I instruct with full determination. Seconds later, just before the attacks hit us, Liligant unleashes a powerful Energy Ball. To my surprise, the Energy Ball attack was five times larger than the normal one. It was able to blast off all the wardens and their Pokemons, and at the same time, it alerted more officers as the emergency lights start to flicker.

With six more wardens coming straight to us, Liligant takes matters into her own hands. She unleashes a plethora of purple powder and sent them to the officers. Once the dust(powder) settled, the officers were seen, sleeping at the floors, hugging their Pokemons like pillows.

[Liligant learned Sleep Powder! It replaced Energy Ball.] The Pokedex interrupts from my pocket.

This is another advantage for us. With my feet running rapidly, I continue my way to the detainment area for that is where I can find Charlotte. I halt to look at the map, in order to see my current location. Sector one is where I am, and to reach Charlotte, I must reach Sector four.

Between my current location and the next sector is a metal door that was completely shut by the officers. Peculiar this door is, for this is the type of door that could be seen when shops and malls are closing, however, in this case, it is much sturdy and stronger.

On the other side of the door, are dozens of police, ready to attack since I could hear their footsteps from afar. Since they have no choice but for me to break down the door, I am given an opportunity to think of a plan.

It is Absol's turn to make a debut. With her powerful Shadow Claw attack, she slashes the door into two, causing a burst of black smoke to the side of the officers. Along with the burst of black smoke comes Lily's sleep powder. In a blink of an eye, everyone fell asleep.

"You are unauthorized personnel. Please put your hands to the air." I've reached the third sector and it seems things have evolved. From the normal police comes the armored ones. Obviously, with their masks, Sleep Powder is no match for them. Now, these are the officers who I don't want to mess with because of their powerful bats and sturdy transparent shields.

Thinking of a plan, someone interrupts from behind. The group of officers allowed the man to pass through. Never have I thought that I would be meeting the detective here with his battalion of armored police.

"Surrender agent. You are completely surrounded. I am Detective Looker of the Pokemon Police Department." He instructs, keeping a calm posture.

"Mawile, come out and use Ice Beam!" I instruct, not minding Looker's words. I was proven wrong for my plans failed. The Ice Beam did nothing but hit the shields of the police who steadily walks to me in their defensive stance.

With their body hunched and their bats pointed at me with their shields raised, they slowly apprehend me. I look behind, only to see the same scenario. Armored Police, moving towards me. So, it is true, the Pokemon Police Department is not a child's play organization.

The louder their footsteps become, the more worried I become to the point I was left with no choice but to perspire heavily. Absol tries to attack the battalion in front of us, however, she was only pushed back by their shields. Mawile tried Iron Head to break off their shields but it only caused a scratch. Kirlia uses Psybeam, however, it only caused the officers to be pushed back by an inch. Lastly, Liligant tries to use Petal Blizzard but it did not cause anything, not even a single scratch.

What to do? What to do? With me shrouded by a battalion of the department who dreads me, I am left with no choice but to think deeply. There must be a way out of this labyrinth, but where? I am so close to triumph with only one sector to pass through, I can't give up now...
