I wake up early in the morning, cannot wait but to check my egg inside the incubator. For half an hour, I stare unto it, giving the most pleasant smile I can possibly give. It astounds my fascination, making me wonder who is to hatch. Alongside me, is my Pokemon who are enthusiastic to meet the new member of our growing team. I can hold six Pokemon only, which means the next Pokemon I catch after the egg will go my registered inbox on Professor Olive's laptop.
Just like every Pokemon who deserves a treat, eggs do too! I slept late only to research about it and all I need is a syringe and needle which I luckily have. I usually bring a syringe to inject my Pokemon with vitamins rather than using a pill which costs too much than buying the fluids.
Since I've tried injecting Pokemon before until I mastered it, this would also be a breeze when it comes to eggs. Instead of vitamins however, I used iron and calcium which I also inject my Pokemon with. According to my latest research, eggs do not have the compatibility to handle vitamins yet and their only source of strength is iron and calcium.
With the injection process finished, it was time to set the right temperature. It varies by color wherein the egg given to me has a blue pigment so this means the temperature needs to be somewhere near warm. While setting the temperature, my rocket radar turns on as Professor Olive's holographic image makes a display.
"Elite Operative Lu- Oh my? Is that a Pokemon Egg?"
"Yes, it is," I answer, slightly boasting off while setting the temperature.
"Who gave it to you?"
"He goes by the name Melchior Stronghold."
"Oh, the veteran?"
"Yes. He challenged me to a battle and technically surrendered. In the end, he gave me a Pokemon Egg."
"Aw, I wish I had one too. Anyway, the three leaders are asking for your presence right now. Please head directly to the warehouse immediately."
"Got it, professor."
"See you!" the professor greets and shuts the radar off.
"Now, Lily, I will make you in charge of the egg while I'm gone. Make sure to protect it." I bid while rubbing her hair. Gladly she smiles, accepting my given task to her. For now, she'll be a baby-sister while I do a mission with my other Pokemon. I know my Lily, she's a responsible and loving Pokemon. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
And so, at the warehouse, I finally came to the conclusion I was about to be given a mission since I was greeted by Zeal's pouty behavior. Even until now, she remains all bitter, cloaking herself with malice and I don't mind as long as she does not do anything wrong in our mission.
"Bonjour Elite Operatives. Leader Crimson and Leader Hector are currently not here so I will be giving the details of your mission. It is quite simple actually. Oh, and by the way, we decided to make Xeryll the official pilot for both of you."
"What?! About Sir Fredrick?! Can't he be the pilot instead." Zeal complains right away, cutting Fortuna's words.
"Who's Sir Fredrick?" I query out of curiosity.
"Sigh, you do not need to know." and just like that, Zeal replies with a slight mixture of rudeness. It's tolerable since I've heard worse.
"Sir Fredrick is her pilot but now that she's working with you, Xeryll will become hers as well." clarifies, Professor Olive.
"Hmm, I guess that's fine with me."
"Back to the topic. Xeryll will drop you at Littleroot town and from there, you will be infiltrating the laboratory of the famous Professor Birch. I'm sure, you've all heard a thing or two about him." adds, the admin while flashing a picture of the professor from what appears to be a watch with the ability to emit holographic images.
"I want the two of you to gather a database from him. It is located inside his laptop. The database contains a lot of information that will help us in figuring the location of the atmospheric Pokemon, Rayquaza. All you have to do is to insert a microchip that I, myself have invented. It has the ability to corrupt the laptop and at the same time steal all of its data." adds, Fortuna. Meanwhile, the professor hands out a red microchip to Zeal. For protection, she covers it with a cloth and places it inside her pocket.
"Once you've gathered the database, return to headquarters immediately. Understood?"
"Yes, ma'am!" The two of us reply with determination as we salute to her.
"You better make sure you don't cause any troubles Luna Evergreen."
"I am a skilled Elite Operative, and I rarely make any trouble."
"Sounds more like self-proclamation."
"Why you?!"
"Hehe. Come on, let's get this over with so we can return quickly." she ends her tease, and from there she exits the door. A bit frustrated I became, but still, it was tolerable. I wondered about the egg, and then I realized my Lily was there to handle things. I dearly trust her to take the ask of being a babysitter for the day.
