EPISODE 11: The Wings!*

Having Virgo as a roommate is actually not bad at all. Unlike Charlotte, Virgo sleep quietly, and not even the slightest snore could be heard. Stunningly, she also loves to sleep and cuddle with her Pokemon as Charlotte does not since birds are quite unruly.

We usually use our Pokemons as pillows, and our pillows as theirs. Sleeping with them, gives me a peace of mind, bringing a sensation of calmness amidst the evening. My first night in Johto is quite overwhelming. Neither I nor Virgo used the aircon since we've noticed the wind is strong tonight, thus all we did was to rely on our open windows.

Also, one thing I've noticed from my first night is the moon. It perfectly fits like a portrait during moonrise. It could be seen in our window, stretching its ever-glowing whiteness to our skins. Just by looking at it, ah, it makes me feel serene.

Although our evening was quite stunning, since it was our first night, our second morning was kind of gruesome. What happens when two undisciplined women sleep together? Well, there would be no one to wake us up, unlike Charlotte who clearly annoys my brain just to awaken me.

"Virgo? Luna?" A familiar voice seeps through the keyhole. Outside, Professor Olive knocks, trying to wake us up, however, just like Snorlaxes, we remained asleep. Hearing her words only gave us the cue to change sleeping positions.

Suddenly, things started to escalate quickly when the door of our room opens. If I remember correctly, the key is in my pocket. Although the professor may have entered, it was not enough for us to lend our attention.

"Oh, how sweet, they're just like me who sleeps with Pokemons. Luna... Virgo... wake up." Professor Olive smiles pleasantly then murmurs to our ears to wake us up. Her voice was the voice of a mother, trying to wake up a toddler who fell asleep in the middle of nowhere.

Her words have caught the attention of our Pokemons rather than us. Due to this, our Pokemons were the ones who rambunctiously woke us up to full glory. But, to be honest, their paws and claws gave me a headache after waking up.

"Rise and shine!" Professor Olive greets with high exuberance, smiling at the both of us as she places her research papers on our desk.

"Pro... professor?" We question after seeing her inside our room. I then double-checked my pockets and found out the keys are still there.

"Of course, I forgot to explain. As your professor, the executives gave me a spare key to enter your room and wake the both of you up in case of missions. I did knock before entering, however, no one answered my call.

Anyways, let's make this quick so the two of you can eat your breakfast and proceed with your mission."

"Mission?! I've been finally approved! It's all thanks to your professor. Without your suggestion, I'd be a nobody." Virgo beams with excitement and determination, just like me when I first infiltrated the Pokemon Government Council's laboratory in Viridian City. Me? Hearing the word "mission" gives me a headache. My body hasn't fully been recharge since I awakened all of a sudden.

With her beaming with exuberance, I on the other hand dropped to my bed with laziness, covering my face with my pillow. My first mission has just ended, and now another one begins so soon?

"Come on Luna, it is your responsibility as an Elite Operative to participate in major missions."

"Major mission?!" My laziness dispersed as I sit right back up to my bed, removing the pillow covering my face. The determination that flows through me has returned.

"Yes. Finally, after enough research, I've gathered information about the wings of legend. It took a whole day for me to come up with a conclusion. After showing it to the executives, they have finally come up with the decision to make you and your new partner Virgo in charge of obtaining the wings of legend.

The wings of legend includes the rainbow and silver wing. The rainbow wing represents Ho-Oh as the silver wing represents its counterpart, Lugia. According to legends which have enough scientific basis and evidence, the legends of Johto abide by the commandment of the users of the wings.

However, because of man's greed, the two wings were hidden from plain sight and only those who wish to seek it earnestly will be able to find it. But! Thanks to my genius expertise, I believe we could find their locations as long as you complete your first major mission." Professor Olive explains, astounding us with the myth.

"Since the executives are currently not here, I have been given the responsibility to explain your mission, which is: Both of you will be sent to Violet City in order to claim a book from their infamous museum, the Violet Museum. The book has no title but it has a fancy velvet cover. I believe, this book contains a puzzle for the map of the two wings.

Bring it back, and return safely so I can continue my research and find out more details about the legend. Also, perhaps this book will give us a clue to the locations of the three mirages, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. So, Luna Evergreen and Virgo Novelty, your mission, should you choose to accept?" Professor Olive explains, describing the looks of the book through holographic imaging.

At the end of our morning, the both of us concurred to receive and finish our task. Claiming a book does not seem like an extreme and difficult mission for us. After having our breakfast, the two of us are immediately sent to the city of Violet. Luckily, today is a holiday, hence the museum will be closed to the public.

There's only three minor missions since I know it's boring if all the MC does is to rescue agents worldwide. As for the major missions, the first one starts now, although if volume one has five major missions, this volume has more but! At least they're not boring.

I had to draft volume two for more than four times in order to come up with thrilling chapters and not lackluster ones.
