EPISODE 109: Interrogation!*

The handcuffs restrain me as I walk through a hall painted with fainted colors such as grey and black. Beside me, are two police officers, escorting me to the interrogation room. I wonder, for what cause am I sent there, and who will I meet today? According to Jenny, the chief wants to talk to me.

As I walk, my mind is shrouded with the sensation of anger however I earnestly restrain myself from spilling my wrath to the two police officers. For once, I am tired of running in circles with the Pokemon Police Department. It's time to have a rest from all these goose-chase.

The interrogation room, how I sense the recent quarrels and shouts that took place between the chief and the prisoners. Scary it is, with the walls painted in gray and only one ceiling light as the source of luminosity. Below the light is a rugged table with two chairs facing parallel to each other. On the corner of the room, is a seemingly one-sided peculiar window for the other officers to look and watch.

Upon my arrival, with brute force, the two officers pushed me down to my chair. They then stood firm like statues beside me. With everything set, and my body fully restrained that even escaping is a mere figment of the imagination, the so-called chief enters the room.

In a subtle pace, he walks to the chair with an expressionless look. He has a brown coat, cunning black hair, and a fair complexion. On his hand is a white folder, containing my personal bio. I look to him, watching his peculiar face.

He makes the first move and starts the conversation, "Greetings. I suppose you are agent Luna Evergreen?"

"What is my purpose here?" I query, having not the slightest of respect.

"What else? For interrogation of course. I am a detective that mainly operates in the Sinnoh Region. However, I also work with the Pokemon Police Department belonging to different branches worldwide." He introduces.

He then adds, "I have a few questions to ask. Answer them honestly and perhaps we will provide you with a five-star dish for the night."

"I'd rather use the arrival of dusk as my escape route rather than wasting my time eating dinner," I mutter sarcastically, letting off a soft chuckle.

"You can try, however, if you are caught, we will add ten more years to your detainment period. Anyhow, I actually have one question only and that is... where is Team Rocket?" The detective leans his head to me, questioning me with seriousness.

"Team Rocket? The last time I've heard, they've disbanded." I reply.

"That's what I thought too. Do you know these four?" He then places a picture to the table. The picture contains three men and one woman, each having a stylish hair. They are, however, unfamiliar to my mind.

"No. I've never met them."

"A grunt like you, never met these four? Strange. Tell me the truth, and I will subtract five years from you and your friends' detainment period." The detective bargains, snapping my memory. Hearing his words, I then remember Xavier and Charlotte.

"Xavier?! Charlotte?! Where are they?!" I yell, questioning the detective harshly.

"Do not worry, they're fine. Now, answer my question."

"I don't know anything about these four nor did I ever meet them in my life before. Release my friends!"

"Release your friends?" The detective chuckles then continues, "I'm sorry, but they are part of Giovanni's criminal organization as well."

"Team Rocket is not a criminal organization!"

"What do you call yourselves then? Defenders of the light?" He giggles sarcastically.

"Back the topic. We suspect these four as members of Team Rocket since they have been infiltrating our global branches just to rescue other members who were captured in Giovanni Industries two days ago." He adds, elaborating the three men and one woman found in the peculiar portrait.

Hearing his words have restored hope. Perhaps Team Rocket's reign has ended yet. However, never have I noticed that I was unconscious for two days. The incident with Mewtwo in the tower felt like yesterday.

"Then that's an advantage for me." I chuckle sarcastically.

"Not on my watch. Dare to escape... and we'll add five years to your friends' detainment period."

"Dare to do such a thing, and the Pokemon Police Department will meet its agony," I warn. My body has forced itself to fight, causing me to tremble harshly, trying earnestly to escape from my restraints. However, the two officers beside me took legal actions and restrain me furthermore with their hands. I try to use my feet, kicking the under of the table, however, more police officers arrive to restrain my legs.

It is as if I am a retarded woman inside a mental hospital trying to escape from the grasps of doctors and nurses. On the other hand, the detective stood firm and calm from his chair. He walks out of the room while I struggle from the hands of the officers.

Seconds turned into hours, and I've surrendered due to my worn-out body from struggling gravely.

"Stay here until you've learned your lesson." One officer murmurs to my ears as the others restrain my arms to the chair using a pair of handcuffs. They then leave, locking the door and double-checking it. With me stuck alone, I have no choice but to remain silent and look at the one-sided window, assuming that the detective and my friend is observing me from the outside.
