Chapter 19: Change of Booth!

Ethan's booth quickly caught the attention of event organizers due to the massive crowds it attracted, rivaling those at the largest displays and raising concerns about congestion.

Director Clarke, in charge of the booth assignments, personally arrived at Booth 068, squeezing through the sea of spectators.

"Who here is Mr. Grave?" he asked, looking overwhelmed as he took in the scene. He hadn't expected such a crowd for a small booth; if he'd known, he would have assigned them a larger space!

"That's me," Ethan replied, noting the staff member's uniform and recognizing him as an event personnel. "And you are?"

"Clarke, Director of Venue Management." Director Clarke's gaze drifted to the playful Pichu interacting with the crowd. "I see why you're drawing such a crowd. I've heard your company's Pichu can even use Electrical abilities?"

"Correct," Ethan responded calmly.

"Well, here's the issue. We underestimated your popularity and assigned you a small booth. Just look at this crowd…"

"I can't exactly turn people away," Ethan pointed out.

"No, no, of course not!" Director Clarke scratched his head. "We'd like to set up a larger area for your company, a dedicated performance booth."

"Oh? I'd appreciate that. It's really crowded here," Ethan agreed, glancing around at the packed, eager faces.

After a moment's thought, he added, "Could it be near Booth #012? I noticed that area has plenty of room."

He recalled passing by Jerry's setup that morning and sensed an opportunity.

Director Clarke hesitated briefly. "I'll have the team check it out. Just a moment, Mr. Grave."

Minutes later, Director Clarke returned with good news: the relocation was possible, though the new booth wouldn't be ready until the noon break.

Ethan smiled to himself, amused at the idea of Pokémon Biotech becoming "neighbors" with Ciguli.

Throughout the morning, Pichu's popularity attracted a constant stream of visitors, including several media outlets eager for fresh, intriguing stories. Pichu fit the bill perfectly, and soon, media reports featuring Pokémon Biotech began flooding online, rapidly boosting their visibility.

One video of Pichu in action quickly hit over a million views, garnering thousands of likes and enthusiastic comments. Back at the company, Ethan's team informed him that all 145 pre-order slots had sold out. Originally, they'd planned for 100 Pichus, later increasing the batch by 50, though Ethan intended to keep five: one for himself, one as a gift to James, and the remaining three for the company's internal projects.

Meanwhile, at Booth 012, Jerry and Lina simmered over the morning's events. Determined to someday surpass Ethan, they left for lunch, only to return to a new surprise: an additional booth had been set up next to theirs.

They quickly learned the truth, the organizers had arranged a new booth for Pokémon Biotech.

"Ethan must've orchestrated this to mock us," Jerry fumed, considering going to the organizers himself. Was this some kind of taunt? For the remaining two and a half days, would they be constantly overshadowed by their competitor?

Even though the afternoon performance hadn't yet started, Jerry could already picture the crowds flocking to Ethan's booth, his face growing darker with each passing thought.

"Oh, Mr. Fowler!" Ethan's familiar voice rang out, smooth and amused. "Seems like we're destined to be neighbors. I didn't expect the organizers would set us up right next to each other!"

Jerry gritted his teeth, refusing to turn. "Don't get cocky, Ethan."

"Cocky? Not at all," Ethan laughed. "Let's keep things fair, may the best display win. Let's see if your spirit dog or my Pichu is the crowd's favorite."

With that, Pokémon Biotech's employees began preparing their new booth. In light of the last-minute changes, Ethan decided to go all out, hiring a team of models and dancers to perform once the afternoon session began. He also arranged for a fresh group of twenty Pichus to be sent over from the lab, ensuring a broader, livelier display of their talents this time.

The Afternoon Showcase Begins

As the exhibition resumed after lunch, attendees poured in, many heading straight for Booth 068, only to find Pokémon Biotech had moved.

"Where'd they go?" a few murmured, glancing around.

"They're near Booth 012 now!"

The crowd surged toward the relocated booth, quickly spotting Pichu and the lively display on stage. The scene was even better than the videos, with Pichu in full form and a lineup of tall, energetic models and dancers captivating onlookers.

"Oh wow, those models… Christ, please help me" someone muttered.

"Pichu is adorable, but I wouldn't mind hugging that girl on stage… Cause woo I'm about to make a name for myself up in hear" another attendee admitted.

As the male audience watched, both Pichu and the models held their attention, each adding to the booth's appeal.

Stepping up to the stage, James, charming as ever, took on the role of emcee (like a DJ). With a captivating grin, he drew the crowd's attention.

"Good afternoon, everyone! Welcome to Pokémon Biotechnology Company's booth," he announced. "We're excited to introduce our newest creation, Pichu!"

James bent down, lifting a Pichu from the stage. The tiny creature wiggled in his hands, its wide-eyed innocence sending a wave of laughter through the crowd as they snapped photos.

"This little one here is Pichu, developed by our very own Mr. Grave," James continued. "Pichu isn't just cute, it's soft, fluffy, and perfect for adding some joy to your home."

"And as some of you may know, Pichu can also release a small charge of electricity. But don't worry; they're highly trained and won't discharge unless they sense a threat!"

He paused, scanning the intrigued faces in the crowd. "I understand some of you might doubt Pichu's intelligence, but we're here to demonstrate. You'll see that Pichu's abilities far surpass those of ordinary bio engineered creatures."

As the crowd leaned forward, eyes glinting with anticipation, James gestured to the models and dancers. "Without further ado, let's begin the show! You won't want to miss what's next!"
