27: Glowing Stone

Gyarados swam at its full speed, it was like a rocket tearing through the fabric of space as it flew.

Jayden's eyes landed on a glowing light in the distance.

although it was extremely dark at the bottom of the sea, with the help of aura he was able to see his surroundings perfectly.

"is that what you're looking for buddy?" Jayden communicated with Gyarados.

gyarados replied in excitement and continued speeding towards the glowing light source.

As they got closer, Jayden finally realized what it really was.

it was actually a huge rock formation protruding from the bottom of the ocean.

at the top of this rock formation was an ancient looking stone surrounded by sea weed which seemed to be growing all around it.

the whole rock pillar looked very old and decayed.

swoosh!!

Gyarados moved around the huge pillar like a serpent until its head reached the stop, Gyarados roared at the glowing stone excitedly and rubbed its whiskers on Jayden.

"alright alright I got it" Jayden laughed.

Gyarados was a little confused since it had no arms and couldn't grab the stone, it didn't want to accidentally break it with its jaws.

Jayden hopped off gayardos' and swam slowly towards the glowing stone before landing on the towering pillar.

Jayden looked closely at the glowing stone.

due to it being surrounded in rocks he couldn't figure out exactly what it was, but still he used his whole strength and lifted up the whole rock.

it was about the size of a basketball, but the actual glowing stone inside it was only the size of a small marble.

"could this be what I think it is?" Jayden thought excitedly before putting the stone in his inventory.

"I put it somewhere safe, we can figure out what it is when we go back" Jayden rubbed gyarados' head and consoled him.

"alright then let's go" Jayden said and prepared to hop away from the pillar.

boom!!

the pillar shattered immediately, before Jayden could grab onto Gyarados he was sent plummeting down into the crack inside the pillar.

"F"CK" Jayden felt like his heart was inside his ass right now.

ROAR!!!

Gyarados roared and shot into the crack, chasing after Jayden with all its might.jayden was plummeting down at an incredible speed, if he landed on a hard surface he would definitely die.

"am I going to die again?" Jayden cursed and couldn't believe it, he still had so much to do, he couldn't die right now.

even so, Gyarados chased after him into the crack with all its speed, but it wasn't fast enough, gyarados' disappeared from Jayden's view as he kept falling into the darkness.

Jayden closed his eyes and surrounded his body with aura, he had been falling down for a while now and didn't know when he would fall to his death.

he could only brace himself for impact and pray to arceus.

boom!!

splash!!

water splashed everywhere as Jayden's body landed into a huge pool of water.

this area was surrounded by rocky terrain and seemed to have many gemstones glowing around all over the place.

boom!!

Gyarados followed after and fell inside the pool of water.

it roared and searched practically looking for its master.

the impact of colliding with the water at that height had injured Jayden, he was slowly sinking to the bottom of the pool of water.

ROAR!!

Gyarados released a watch shaking roar and split apart the water, shooting towards Jayden the moment it found him.

Gyarados then grabbed Jayden using his jaw before surfacing the water and placing him onto the land that surrounded the body of water.

Gyarados could only look at Jayden in fear and concern while it watched him lay on the rocky ground.

"cough...cough!!"

Jayden coughed painfully a few times, and expelled all the water out of his system.

he slowly opened his eyes and looked around at the new environment.

"thank you for saving me buddy" Jayden said and looked at Gyarados.

if it wasn't for gyarados' he would have drowned in that pool of water.

although aura saved his life from the impact of the water, he was still heavily injured and would have died if it wasn't for gyarados' bringing him up.

Gyarados released a small cry and rubbed his head on Jayden's stomach in concern.

"don't worry I am ok, I wonder where we are" Jayden said in confusion, only then did gayardos' look around at the area as well.

they were in what seemed to be a cave, with glowing gemstones all around them.

there was a large pool of water here, which he had previously fallen inside.

he put this in the back of his mind and decided to heal himself first.

Jayden opened his inventory while grunting painfully and pulled out a bunch of potions and other healing items.

after a while of healing himself up, he finally had enough power to stand up and walk around, although he was walking with a limp.

Gyarados cautiously followed behind Jayden, while looking around the cave with vigilance.

the whole cave area illuminated brightly and looked like a mystical cave due to the gemstones which were randomly sorted in dozens of different colors.

Jayden even touched some of them and felt the coolness of them, they were actual gems that had probably been here for who knows how long.

Jayden held back his grunts and noticed a large entrance which led deeper into the cave, although the cave was dark, some parts of it were bright due to the presence of the gemstones.

looking inside this passageway, Jayden and gyarados noticed a long array of gemstones leading deeper inside.

"what is this place" Jayden's interest was piqued even more, everything about this place screamed a mystery to him.
