Vacation? You mean Abandoning your Post, right?!

After the awards ceremony, everyone returned home.

Ace went with Ash, Delia, Oak, Misty, Brock, and Gary back to Pallet Town to enjoy another celebration.

As Ash was celebrating, Ace looked at him and smiled happily. Sure enough, this funny guy can win the Championship without Charizard throwing the game! He didn't understand how 'Not beating weak Pokemon' makes you strong, but…

Forgetting about Charizard, Ace was happy for him. Ash looked very happy, even shedding tears of joy! Ace pulled Ash to the side and smiled, "Great Job, Ash!" Ash swung his fists, "It's awesome!"

Ace nodded and smiled, "Yeah, but you shouldn't be too happy. You're still a weak chicken." Ash froze and Ace smiled at him, "There's countless trainers who are stronger than you still! Your journey to become a Pokemon Master is still a pipe dream! If you let this victory make you arrogant then you'll get a rude awakening in the future!"

Ash looked at him and scratched his head, "Yeah?" Ace nodded and smiled, "That's why, I'm going to give you a reality check. Come on, Noivern." Noivern jumped out and Ash looked excited, "Come on out, Annihilape!"

Ace nodded, "Boomburst." Noivern blasted soundwaves at Annihilape, exploding on contact as Annihilape was insta-killed. Ash froze and Ace smiled, "Come on, Ash. Send out all your Pokemon at once."

Ash was floored and sent them all out, Ace said, "Dragon Pulse." Ash commanded, "Dodge it!" Ace laughed, "Impossible, stop them." Noivern roared and the Pokemon froze before he blasted a Dragon Pulse, turning his head and sweeping all the Pokemon up in it.

They flew out, fainting instantly.

Ash was dazed as Ace took back Noivern, patting his shoulder, "Don't worry too much, I'm waiting for you to give me a good battle in the future. I just want you to know that there's all kinds of trainers everywhere that are much stronger than the Trainers you've faced so far."

Ash nodded dumbly and Ace laughed, "Don't look like that, Ash. Noivern has trained very hard to be as strong as he is." Noivern waved, nodding, "Noivern." Ash looked at Noivern and hugged him, "Well, one day we'll beat you!"

Ace smiled and nodded, "I hope so, Ash!" as he looked at Noivern.

He turned back and ruffled Ash's hair, "Make me proud and give me a good battle in Oreburgh! I will wait for you there, Ash!" Ash looked at Ace and asked, "Are you leaving?" Ace smiled and nodded, "I have things to do. I can't hold your hand all day long."

Ash nodded and stretched out a fist, "I'll show you my growth in the future, Teacher!" Ace bumped his fist, smiling, "Good boy. I'm waiting for it." he turned over his palm and handed Ash a charm, "Here. Take this."

Ash looked at the charm, "Huh?" Ace smiled, "That's a Shiny Charm. It has a mysterious power that attracts different colored Pokemon." he took out Three RotomWatches, "These three watches are for you, Misty, and Brock. Go give them these."

Ash nodded and smiled, "Thanks, Teacher." Ace rubbed his head, "Go." Ash ran off as Ace turned and looked at a Bush, "Come here, Gary." Gary walked out, blushing, "Huh? I just got lost is all!"

Ace nodded understandingly, holding out a RotomWatch, "You also did great!" Gary took the cool watch and smiled, "Thanks!" as he grinned with white teeth. Ace chuckled and handed Gary a black box, "Here's a gift for you."

Gary looked at the box and Ace added, "Don't open it right now." Gary paused and looked at him in confusion as Ace grinned, "Next time Ash gives you a hard time, you'll be ready to give him a reality check." Gary was still confused as Ace laughed, getting on Noivern, "Tell Old Man Oak, I left him a gift at his lab." before flying off into the night.

Gary waved and opened the box, gasping!

Gary slapped his forehead and laughed happily, next time Ash uses Impossible moves, Blastoise will blast him!

As Ace was flying back to Oreburgh, he was going to stop at a ruin, but he got a call. Ace answered the phone, "City morgue." Roark said worriedly, "Uncle Ace! You need to get back here, right now! There's a Gym Inspector here and something happened with the Hisui Area!"

Ace groaned and replied, "Alright, alright… Calm down, I'm on my way." before sighing, "Looks like the ruins in Hoenn will have to wait…" as he hung up, speeding off back to Oreburgh in a hurry.

It took Ace a week to hurry back to Oreburgh as he landed at the Gym, walking inside to see a Nurse Joy looking at her RotomWatch impatiently.

Ace smiled, "Oh, are you the Inspector?" The Nurse Joy turned and snorted, "You! Aren't you a Gym Leader?! You leave and let your Trainees take over Gym operations?! Do you know how many complaints we've gotten about your Gym during this time? Not only that but the complaints were coming in even before that!"

Ace held out his hands, "Okay, Inspector Joy… It's not that serious, right?" Inspector Joy snorted, "Not serious? No! Not at all! Why don't we just have all Gym Leaders go on Vacation whenever they want! That'd be better, right?!"

Ace was stunned and waved his hands, "Okay, I'm sorry!" Inspector Joy glared at him, writing down on her clipboard, "Lazy, Childish, Careless.." Ace's scalp was numb and he coughed, "Um, Inspector Joy! You know, I'm not having a good time here either! There's hundreds of Challengers a day!"

Inspector Joy looked at him, frowning, "What? Oreburgh is a very nice place recently, but that doesn't mean that you can have hundreds of Challengers…" Ace pointed at the VOD machine, "Those are all the battles, since I took over the Gym, okay?!"

Inspector Joy inspected the Machine and was stunned silly, "10,291 Battle Videos?!" Ace looked unlovable, hugging his arms, "I have no choice but to take vacations to keep my sanity!"

Inspector Joy ignored him, looking at some of the videos, frowning, "These Challengers…?" She was confused and Ace explained, "These bastards only come here to attack me and antagonize me because of rumors! I want justice!" Inspector Joy rolled her eyes, "Don't try and make up excuses here! You are clearly taking too many Vacations! You can't just leave every few months!"

Ace sighed sadly and Inspector Joy looked at the fanboys with twitching lips, she handed Ace a ticket, "Here. This is a Warning and Fine. You have to pay the amount to the Alliance for Negligence. But! I will fix your absurd amount of challengers in the meantime."

Ace looked at the Fine and was dumbfounded, "10 Million Pokedollars?!" Inspector Joy nodded and said seriously, "Gym Leaders also protect the safety of the city. Leaving the City so frequently is like abandoning an army. You're lucky you're only getting Fined! Because of the circumstances, I only gave you a warning. Do not let it happen again, understood?!"

Ace wilted, "Yes, maam…" Inspector Joy nodded, "Good. And don't try to flirt with me, I don't like pretty boys! Hmph!" as she left, jumping on a Latios.

Ace was dumbfounded before sighing again, "My flirtatious mouth!" he almost burst into tears!
