Training, Training, and Huh? Could it be?! That's right! It's MORE TRAINING!

Months later

Ace was standing at the bottom of Area Zero, "No. It's wrong! You're wasting too much movement! Look at your opponent!" Chien-Pao looked over at Miraidon, who hissed at him.

Ace stood on the side, "See how Miraidon uses every part of his body to dodge? You can do the same. You're not bulky like Tyranitar, your body is made of snow, you can contort into different shapes! Come on, Chien-Pao!"

Chien-Pao nodded and attacked Miraidon again.

Ace watched for a bit before nodding and turning to another corner, "Faster, Roaring Moon!" Roaring Moon flapped his wings and dodged in the air as a group of Sandy Shocks fired Zap-Cannons at him.

Ace watched for a while before rubbing his chin and walking to the side. There was a massive machine device with Tyrantrum in it. Holes on the sides of the machine shot out rubber balls at extremely high speeds from every direction as Tyrantrum tried to dodge them all.

Ace looked at the level and frowned, "Only level 7…" before knocking on the glass, "Alright, come out." Tyrantrum stepped out and complained, "Tyrantrum!!" Ace shook his head, "I know you can do it, but you have to give others an opportunity. Go take over for Roaring Moon, tell him to get in here."

Tyrantrum walked over and said, "Ty! Trum!" Roaring Moon looked over, "Sala?" before flying over and complaining, "Sala!!!" Ace clicked his tongue and turned the level to MAX before walking inside, "Watch carefully!"

All the Pokemon looked over as Ace stood in the middle of the chamber.

Countless holes appeared and thousands of sharp bangs were heard!

Ace stood in the middle and his body shook as the balls bounced through him, flying all over the place! They couldn't even see Ace anymore!

They only heard his voice, "I can dodge them all in the same spot, only moving slightly! This is the smallest moment to achieve the greatest effect! What have I been telling you guys all this time, it doesn't matter how big you are, you have to be able to dodge anything! If you never get hit, how can you lose?"

Ace walked through the flurry of rubber balls while talking, coming out of the door and turning off the machine as Roaring Moon gawked at him. Ace set it at 7 and said, "Get in!" Roaring Moon crawled in and Ace turned on the machine before looking away.

Rayquaza and Noivern were getting hit by Dazzling Gleams from Fluttermanes as Ace walked over, "Keep going. This bit of Fairy energy is nothing. When you can shrug off this, we can move onto the next step." he turned to the side and nodded at an Iron Bundle, "At that time, we're relying on you."

Iron Bundle saluted and nodded before turning back to Archeops and Staraptor.

Tyranitar was in Assault Mode, shuttling around with Iron Leaves, getting attacked by Iron Boulder and Iron Crown as Ace called out, "Speed and Attack are the strong points in Assault Mode, Tyranitar! Dodge and Attack but don't fall behind Iron Leaves!"

Tyranitar ran alongside Iron Leaves quickly as he turned out of the way of Iron Crown charging at him. He slapped Iron Crown with his tail before punching down and slamming Iron Boulder into the ground while chasing after Iron Leaves, who got ahead.

Ace watched for a bit before nodding, looking at Sirfetch'd, who was battling against a group Iron Valiant. Ace split this group in half and had one part train with Sirfetch'd on Physical Attacks while the other trained with Metagross in Psychic Abilities.

Ace didn't have much to say, Sirfetch'd always worked hard. He felt a bit guilty since Sirfetch'd was left behind most of the time. But Ace was relieved that he didn't give up. As for Metagross, this guy didn't get much screen time at all, but his Psychic Abilities were top notch. It was good to train in this area…

Ace rubbed his chin, the next part for these two would be swapping attack methods. After that, he turned to Perrserker, who was fighting with a group of Iron Moths, training her endurance. He didn't have much to say, she was doing great.

Not to mention, the minimal dodging Ace was having her practice would be a massive help. If she used Curse, she would get more and more slow, therefore these little movements to dodge would become more and more important! Who said you needed to be fast to dodge? The key point is reaction time.

As for Genesect… Ace looked at him squaring off with Gouging Fire. Ace nodded to himself, "Genesect, you can't rely on your Drives too much! Matching the situation is good, but it can't be done every time!" Genesect nodded and fought with Gouging Fire, who spat out a massive Fire Blast at him. Genesect rolled to the side, flying off to the side before reforming and charging at Gouging Fire, slashing down with his arm.

Gouging Fire jumped to the side and lunged at Genesect with a mouth full of flames.

Ace nodded and clapped, "Good job, keep going." as he looked over at Dragapult fighting a dozen of his own Ancient Variants.

They were Dragon/Water Types after all, maybe Dragapult could learn something from them that was lost over time. Ace was a bit worried about him, after all, this guy was so sticky. If there was a chance to hug Ace, Daragpult was the first to latch onto him and nuzzle.

Ace loved this little guy from the bottom of his heart, but loving was loving, and if Dragapult didn't learn anything substantial, Ace will arrange something more aggressive for him as training.

Hydrapple was training with Iron Jugulis on how to get all his heads to work in unison. Iron Jugulis had this expertise. After all, from Ace's own research, he wasn't too different from normal Hydreigons, just that his other two heads had their own AI.

That's right!

All the Future Pokemon were Sentient AI Pokemon!

Ace could infer from this fact alone that in the Future there was probably a cataclysmic event or something that wiped out a large portion of beings. To offset this, they created Pokemon with machines… but if you've seen Terminator, you know how that ends.

That was probably the reason why so many Future Pokemon were even MORE hostile to humans than Ancient Pokemon. The difference was that Ancient Pokemon were territorial and had never seen Humans before, so they probably thought they were just intruder Pokemon on their turf.

But the Future ones actively hunted Humans!

Over the months that Ace had been here, many Future Pokemon came to kill him, even using advanced Hunting strategy like attacking at night. Now you might be thinking, 'advanced? Joking?' no!

The difference between humans and animals is, apart from intelligence, Humans are persistent hunters. Humans will stalk you for a long time before striking quickly when you're vulnerable. This is probably the most terrifying thing for animals.

Most of the time, animals will leave you alone if you run. After all, the mistake was coming into their territory, so they scared you off, problems over. Of course, if you steal cubs or something… GG.

But Humans will hunt you down relentlessly. Animals can't comprehend this. It's like Wolves. They attacked our own children a long time ago and were nearly hunted to extinction!

These AI Pokemon were much the same, stalking and watching for long periods of time. Not hours, but days and weeks of observation!

For normal humans, this is a death sentence. It's like the Predator from the movie; Stronger, Faster, Smarter, more Advanced Technologically… If you're not Arnold, forget about surviving.

(Obviously, I'd like to think I'd at least leave a wound before I die! Show those damn alien scum what the fucking Human Spirit is! Give them a Vegeta Final Flash from the Buu Saga, yk?)

('It was MAN made in God's image! Not you, creature!')

At any rate, back to the main point, Iron Jugulis can be said to have experience in this area. Ace even brought in some Hydreigon from outside. A strange thing happened, they got along with the Robots quite nicely.

From Ace's view, these Future Pokemon also had genders.

Cyborg Deino incoming?

Moving on from Hydrapple, Ace looked at Ampharos. The little treasure girl of the team. She was learning with Raging Bolt, Sandy Shocks, Iron Hands, and Iron Thorns. These guys also had Quark Drive so they were teaching her some tricks. In addition, they were all Electric Types…

After a quick beating, they were all more than happy to help.

After that, only Machamp, Kabutops, and Rampardos were left. Machamp was fighting with Iron Hands and Koraidon, while Rampardos rammed against Great Tusks, training his body from recoil damage.

Kabutops was fighting fiercely with Brute Bonnets and Walking Wake. This guy was just a fighting Madman! Ace threw him with a group who had type advantages and higher base stats. Though… he seemed to be very happy!

Favorites? Of course Ace had favorites, you can see it clearly. The Pokemon who were fighting one against many were training hard while some of them were getting taught instead of fighting.

Ampharos was a prime example, she was a special existence. This was Elesa's love for him. He didn't even want to see her hurt at all… But Pokemon are Pokemon, they need to be trained!

So he made a decision to increase her training when she was done learning… Ace decided to send her to the Flutter Mane group and train her Mega Form. You have to know, Ampharos was one of Ace's favorite Pokemon before Noivern and Dragapult were introduced…

Yes, he was a dirty stinky Favorite swapper…

Ahem! Anyway, Ace continued to oversee everyone's training, walking around to all of them. He corrected them when necessary, or stepped in to show them how to complete the training he set for them.

This was the advantage of having enough personal strength. Ace was grateful for it! He could show them exactly what he wanted them to do without having to explain what he meant. It helped a bunch!

As the time passed, one day, Mewtwo appeared.

He floated down and looked at Ace, "Ace." Ace looked over and said in surprise, "Mewtwo? What happened? You need help?" Mewtwo smirked and shook his head, "No, just coming to see what's going on. You're training so hard?"

Ace smiled and waved him over. Mewtwo landed next to him and walked with Ace as he explained, "I don't know how long it's been down here, but there's a World Coronation Series soon…" he explained the ins and outs as Mewtwo nodded seriously, "I see! Red was saying something about it."

Ace nodded and smiled, "So that's the basics." Mewtwo looked around and nodded, "Ash asked me to tell you that he's training with Red on Mt Silver for a few months, then he's coming here." Ace blinked and rubbed his chin, "Oh? By the way, whose team are you on?"

Mewtwo looked at him in confusion, "Huh?" Ace asked, "You're not participating?" Mewtwo thought about it and replied, "Neither Ash or Red asked me…" Ace thought about it and smiled, "Well, Red… I can't say for sure, but Ash could use your help."

Mewtwo looked at everyone training and nodded, "I'll ask." Ace patted his back, "By the way, I can teach you something. Use Gravity on Tyrantrum." Mewtwo waved his hand and Tyrantrum was instantly suppressed, finding it infinitely harder to dodge.

Ace nodded, "Come on, Tyrantrum! Dodge in higher Gravity!" Tyrantrum roared and struggled to move. Ace looked at Mewtwo, "Something like this will help immensely in training."

Mewtwo nodded, "I see!" Ace smiled and turned back, "Alright, if you want to stay you're welcome!" Mewtwo thought about it before shaking his head, "I'll go back to Mt Silver. You guys are training so hard, Ash and Red can't fall behind. Thank you, Ace. See you." as he teleported away.

Ace curled his lips, looking up at Area Zero from below. He crossed his arms while rubbing his chin, "It's… possible?" before opening up the System Shop and grinning.

A LONG time later…

Geeta came down into Area Zero before freezing, "What the hell!?" Elesa flew down on Zapdos with Emily and Kengo. She looked at all the trees, bushes, plants… Then the clear path winding down Area Zero in a spiral.

The entire landscape changed drastically.

The Research Bases looked renovated and there were more buildings built into the stone lining the walls of the path. There was even an open train system in between the path, circling all the way down to the bottom.

They both flew down and Geeta looked around with sparkling eyes, very happy in her heart.

Not only research bases, but houses, empty restaurants, shops, Pokemon Centers, etc.

All of them were built into the stone walls lining Area Zero, but there were even giant pieces of Tera Crystals brought up and placed next to Research Bases, little crystals plunged into the walls…

Basically, sparkling crystals were everywhere, making this place look like a Paradise!

As they reached the bottom, they saw all sorts of huge buildings and machines.

Right in the middle of Area Zero ground level, there was a massive Battle Field made with some unknown material. Geeta looked at the machines and muttered, "Training Devices?"

Elesa rolled her eyes and smiled, "What else? That cute idiot probably put them here and trained until they broke." as she looked at the clearly new machines, knowing that Ace wouldn't leave something new unless he was using something else.

They heard crashes and bangs coming from a huge tunnel.

There was a sign on the side, pointing at a side cave to the waterfall area, 'Roaring Moon breeding Lair' along with a warning under.

[Roaring Moon are very Territorial. Unless a trained professional or granted permission, entry is prohibited]

Geeta looked at all the Pokemon walking around and blinked, these Paradox Pokemon looked at them before ignoring them, going over to fruit trees and eating a little.

Elesa flew into the huge tunnel and Geeta followed quickly, seeing Glimmet and Glimmora flying around leisurely, planting into the stones some times.

They continued going down and saw Massive Crystals everywhere. The main point was most of these crystals had huge cracks in them or were just pulverized, laying all over the place.

Elesa called out, "Darling~ I'm here~" The banging stopped and Ace appeared in front of them, grinning, "Love~!" Elesa smiled and jumped off Zapdos, into his arms. She giggled at his giant beard and wild hair, "You look like a caveman! Hehe~"

Ace held her and kissed her face, "Unga Bunga, Ace find woman!" Elesa laughed and leaned on him, "I missed you." Ace stroked her head, "Me too." Geeta flew over, "You've been busy!"

Ace grinned and looked at Emily and Kengo, "Come hug daddy!" The two jumped off and hugged him, "Daddy! We missed you!" Ace hugged his family and smiled wildly as he carried them into the Depths, "Come look." Geeta followed as Zapdos flew next to Ace, sighing.

I'm just a bird, don't mind me…

Ace showed them the Depths as they saw tons of Paradox Pokemon fighting and training hard, "I've been training here for a while, so I figured, why not start building the upper layers? The Pokemon you see up there are mostly only allowed after being approved by me. They've been trained and rehabilitated by me. They're harmless for the most part."

Geeta asked, "For the most part?" Ace waved, "Well, if you go looking for a fight, you're gonna get one!" Geeta understood and nodded, "I see." he smiled, "They won't attack anyone for no reason, basically. As you can see, most of these guys pop out from the Time Machine so they still need a beating. But, I moved the training from above to here because it's less a hassle to wait for them to come out… and I didn't want anything to get destroyed from the training process."

Geeta nodded and smiled, "Good job!" Ace grinned and pointed, "There is a canteen, there's more training equipment over there. There's a Gravity area on that side, that crystal was smashed from a bigger one and made into a resting area…" he continued introducing all the areas to everyone with a smile on his face.

Geeta looked at the cave leading to the Time Machine and tilted her head. Ace grabbed her arm, "Don't go there." Geeta looked at him and frowned, "Is there trouble?" Ace scratched his beard and chuckled wryly, "No… There's a disobedient guy in there… You'll die."

Geeta looked at him and Ace shook his head as everyone heard an extremely loud enraged roar. Ace covered his kids' ears and roared, "SHUT UP!" the depths started shaking and the roaring stopped, returning to silence.

He smiled and looked at everyone, "Other than him, everything else is good!" Elesa looked around, "Is that a Pikachu?" Ace looked over and nodded, "Yep! There's also a Future Charizard somewhere around here…" Elesa looked at the Pikachu and opened her palm, an arc of lightning connected with the Pikachu.

Pikachu turned and looked at her with a wild expression, "PiKA!" Elesa looked happy, "Oh my god! So cute!"

Ace smiled and let her go, glaring at the Pikachu, who muttered, "Pika…" as Ace held the two kids, looking at Geeta, "What happened? You need my help for something?" Geeta looked at him and laughed helplessly, "Do you know how long you've been down here?"

Ace blinked and shook his head, Geeta smiled and said, "Your student Ash came to the Academy after winning the Galar Conference. In one year, he completed all his classes and did both Circuits before becoming a Champion class Trainer." Ace's eyes lit up, "He didn't come to see me?"

Geeta spread her hands helplessly, "Not come? He came! He went to Raimon and when he found out you were in Area Zero, he almost jumped in! I didn't let him come, he's still just a boy!" Ace counted on his fingers, "Ash should be 18 now, no?" Geeta rolled her eyes, "I'm 32! Still a boy to me, yeah?"

Ace shrugged and smiled, "Then what happened?" Geeta dusted her palms, "Then he left!" Ace asked, "Left?" Geeta nodded and smiled, "He left to go train for the World Coronation Series. It's taking place in Galar in…"

She looked at her watch, "2 days." Ace was dumbfounded, "Two days!? Oh man!" Emily shook her head, sighing, "Daddy, so stupid." Kengo looked at her speechlessly, "Do you know what day it is?" Emily sneered, "It's the day that today is, the day I woke up today."

Kengo was dumbfounded and confused, "Uh.. Wh- Okay?" Emily nodded and Kengo looked at Ace, who glanced at him, shaking his head slightly.

Son, it's not worth arguing with girls. You'll never win.

I know, Dad… It happens every day…

Sigh, poor you.

I know, right?

Geeta looked at the Pokemon training before saying, "So. You'd better hurry." Ace nodded and whistled, his pokemon came over and Geeta looked at them all, sucking in a cold breath.

This coercion! So strong!

Look at that Rayquaza!

Hold on, RAYQUAZA?!

As Geeta was dumbfounded, Ace put them all away, saying, "Time to rest. Soon, we'll have the moment you've been training for! You'll all get a chance to play, are you ready?" they all nodded before returning to the Pokeballs.

Ace smiled and put the Pokeballs away, as Noivern flew to his head.

He let out a breath, grinning.

It's finally time!
