Chapter 129 - Indigo League; It ended with Blue Lightning
Charizard!
As Itsuki expected Ash went with Charizard who was currently strongest Pokémon in Ash team.

Itsuki checked Charizard stats before the battle started. Itsuki didn't want to repeat his previous mistake of not checking Pikachu stats.
After confirming that Charizard was normal, Itsuki sighed in relief. If Charizard level had temporarily increased just like it happened with Pikachu then, even if Itsuki used all of his Pokemon he wouldn't able to beat Charizard. But fortunately it seems only Pikachu's level was somehow temporarily increased.

[Jerry, you, me and everyone who is watching this match live knows that Lucario winning against Charizard is impossible. But this whole battle so far has been weird and strange.] Michael was hinting at Pikachu's abnormality. At the starting of the battle, Pikachu's attack was super strong but when Lucario came Pikachu looked so weak. No one could understand what was the reason for that to happen.

But Charizard wasn't cheating in any way. 'But Because of Pikachu, my Gyarados lost even without a proper fight.' At the beginning Itsuki's plan was to defeat Pikachu using Gyarados and then pressure and defeat Charizard with Gyarados, Dragonite and Zeraora.

But now that Gyarados was out, the whole responsibility fell on Zeraora and Dragonite, making things way more difficult than before. As for Itsuki's remaining two Pokémon, Itsuki doesn't think Eevee who now has evolved could help because her level is low.
While Marshadow's would be useful since Charizard could fly in air sky and easily avoid Marshadow's attacks.
After thinking a bit, Itsuki decided not to interfere in this battle and have a fair match with Ash.

"Lucario return. I choose you Zeraora." With one hand Itsuki recalled Lucario while with other hand Itsuki called Zeraora out of her Pokeball.

When Zeraora came out, she and Charizard stared at each other like they were looking at their biggest enemy. The eyes of two predators made the air on the battlefield go cold.

Its strange. Even though Zeraora is only Peak 4th order, the pressure, the look, the confidence that she had wasn't any less than of Charizard.
Others might not able to feel it. But being a mid 5th order Pokémon, Charizard could clearly feel the pressure which was not any less powerful than a mid 5th order.

"Charizard use Fire blast." With Ash's order, Charizard opened its mouth and fired a huge wave of red hot flame towards Zeraora.
The attack speed was very fast and almost less than few seconds the attack was about to hit Zeraora.
But in the neck of time, she circulated her signature blue lightning around her body ans then disappeared.

From the black smoke that had covered more than half of the battlefield, Zeraora appeared and charged towards Charizard.
Ash was surprised by how fast Zeraora actually was. Ash suppressed the curiosity that was building inside his heart and ordered Charizard for his next move.
"Metal claw."
Charizard claws turned into metal as they glowed in white light.

"Aura Sword" Itsuki ordered with an perfect counter.
Two dark blue Katanas made out of energy formed in both of her hands as she then slashed her right arm towards Charizard throat.
Charizard managed to block the attack with his left claws. After blocking, Charizard tried to attack Zeraora with his right metal claw.

Zeraora just like Itsuki taught her, using the time she had, she was observing and reading her opponent very closely.
At that time her brain was processing things at the speed of lightning.
Zeraora moved her head to the right as she realized that it was easier to dodge Charizard attacks since his arms were not that big to begin with.

As she moved her head, Zeraora quickly measured Charizard hands length and found that Charizard couldn't reach his thighs and legs.
After finding the golden opportunity, in that moment right when she dodged the attack, Zeraora slashed both of her Katanas at Charizard's things.

Charizard was pushed back few meters as he. 4 Deeps vertical cuts on Charizard's thighs appeared and started bleeding profusely.
The wound on his thighs were deep enough for the audience to see Charizard flesh and bone.
Charizard fell on his knees as the pain on his lega were too much for him to keep standing.
"Lightning blast."

Ash face changed seeing Zeraora was about to launch another attack.
"Charizard hurry up and use Fireblast and then fly up in the air." Charizard gritted his teeths while enduring the pain he fired a quick small fireball at Zeraora.
Zeraora was forced stopped her attack and dodge. Charizard used this chance to fly up in the air.

By flapping his wings, Charizard quickly flew up in the air. In less than 3 seconds Charizard was about 25 meters above the ground.
One thing that Ash realized from the way Zeraora defeated her opponent, was that Zeraora was a close range fighter. Her speciality was in close combat. Fortunately Charizard had the privilege of using long range attacks.

Charizard could keep his safe distance from Zeraora and continue to pressure Zeraora with attacks.
Drops of blood was falling from the sky as Charizard flew with his injured legs. One didn't had to be an genius to guess what Ash was planning.
"Ash your plan was... nearly perfect." Ash suddenly remembered something which shocked him to the core.

"You see I personally have trainers my Pokémon. I definitely made sure to have something against long distance opponents. Zeraora I think it's about time you use that new move of yours."
Many people instantly realized what was going to happen. Everyone who had seen the battle from yesterday still clearly remembers how the sky itself submitted to Zeraora and how her opponent was roasted alive.

The sky above the battlefield began to darken as if some big storm was going to come. Within that black cloud, sparks of blue lightning could be seen. Charizard who was flying in the air suddenly felt a chill running down its spine.
Charizard's natural instinct told him something really bad was going to happen. And it did.
Boom!
With a loud roar that made Charizard's ears bleed. The blue lightning descended from the sky and striked Charizard.

Followed the mighty roar of the lightning, Everyone heard a sound which was the ground Shattering sound.
Charizard was slapped back to the earth by the mighty force of the lightning strike.
Everyone looked at the battlefield and they were left horrified when they saw the black charcoal of body Charizard was lying at the center of the battlefield as the ground beneath him shattered into pieces.

Silence!
The display of such Heavenly move left everyone single person watching the Indigo League in shock. Even the people who had seen this move before was in shock. For an entire minute no one spoke anything as rhe images of this event constantly replayed in everyone's minds.
[What sort of Heavenly and insanely powerful move is that!]

Even Lorelei and Lance, the two elite four members were left shock and speechless. It could be said that both Lorelei and Lance bad almost seen and known everything there is to know about Pokémon abd battles.
But in their life's, they have never seen this kind of move before. The move itself was powerful at an frightening level. Zeraora despite being only a Peak 4th order was able to make a mid 5th order Pokémon lay on the ground.

The referee snapped out of his thoughts and hurriedly checked on Charizard condition.
[Charizard is unable to battle.]
As if the referee's words has removed the lock from the crowd's mouth. Following the referee's words, everyone in the stadium began to loudly cheer for Itsuki.

Meanwhile Ash had the most funny facial reaction. Ash looked like someone who seen Victoria's secret. His eyes for a moment was lifeless and looked like someone who couldn't comprehend anything in life.
'How is this possible?'
This very question kept repeating itself in his mind.
[Sir please take out your next Pokémon or you can just quit] The referee's voice made Ash snap out of his thoughts.

"I quit." Ash looked like he was still in daze when he said those words. Also now that his strongest two Pokémon had been defeated, there was no way Ash could defeat Itsuki with his 4th order Pokémon.
Ash looked like someone who was lost. The shock Ash received was just too big for him to handle.

Itsuki smiled while looking at Charizard who now was getting emergency treatment.
Honestly Itsuki wasn't sure whether his attack would be enough to bring down a mid 5th order. Itsuki was planning for a long battle involving using several of his Pokémon. But fortunately everything ended on a quick note.
[Ash has chosen to quit. Meaning Itsuki wins the battles.]
