The Gym Battle Start (Edited)

The Pokemon was Aerodactyl.

"Rooarrr"

Just as Axel was marveling at the ancient Pokemon, the door opened on Flint's side and 2 boys walked in.

"You don't mind the viewers, do you? They are of your age and trainers trained by me. Since I have heard a lot about you, I want them to watch the battle and learn from it. Say hello, you guys.", said Flint.

"Hi, I am Meliot."

"Hi, I am Dexos."

Meliot seemed to be the mature type of these 2 kids.

Axel nodded his head. He didn't have any problem with someone watching his battle.

"By the way, why are there viewers seat, when there is no one to watch the battle?", asked Axel

"Normally, they would be filled with people and fans of trainers. But since this is just your first gym battle, you are not recognized.", replied Flint. He had a smirk on his face as this was the most repeated question that he had to deal with

Meliot and Dexos took their seats on the viewers stand.

"Challenger, please send out your Pokemon"

"Go, Beedrill"

Beedrill came out excitedly. This was the first gym battle and it was the first Pokemon to be selected by Axel. So it was excited. It wanted to battle strong Pokemon but except for Shedinja, Nidorino and Scyther, it had not met good opponents.

Everyone was shocked when they saw Beedrill. Though Beedrill had decreased its height to 10 feet, it was still 10 feet tall Beedrill. Compared to normal 3 feet Beedrill, it was massive.

Axel was gouging Aerodactyl.

Aerodactyl was the one Pokemon Axel was afraid to go against. Rock-type Pokemons had good defense. But Aerodactyl was fast too. It was the fastest rock-type Pokemon to ever exist. And Aerodactyl hits hard.

Aerodactyl was rock and flying type and Beedrill was weak against both types. But Axel didn't have any other options other Beedrill.

Nidorino may be fast but it didn't have flying-type ability. It also didn't have experience fighting flying types and would just be a plaything against Aerodactyl and he wanted to save Shedinja for the last battle. So, Beedrill was the ideal type.

"What kind of Beedrill is this? It is so massive? Is there some kind of mutation?", asked Meliot with a questioning look.

"It is certainly massive. But, Aerodactyl against Beedrill? Is this guy stupid? How can a Beedrill fight against Aerodactyl?", said Dexos

Trainers have a tendency to believe that bug-type Pokemons are the weakest type to ever exist. This had been doing on for centuries.

"We have heard a lot about this guy. Maybe he has some hidden card. Let's see.", replied Meliot

"Let the battle begin," said the referee.

"Mira, fly high and use 'Rock slide'"

"Beedrill dodge it, after that use 'Agility'"

Aerodactyl was a speedy Pokemon. Beedrill had to use its 'Agility' 2 times to have a fighting chance. When Beedrill came out, it was already using 'Calm mind'. Using 'Calm mind' had already become its habit. Beedrill had successfully dodged the attack and used 'Agility' 1 time.

Everyone was impressed with this. Beedrill though fast was big. So, it was surprising that it could dodge Aerodactyl's attack.

"Now, Beedrill use 'String shot' all over the place." Shouted Axel

Meanwhile, the 2 boys were surprised to see this.

"Why is Beedrill using string shot in the ground? It is not going to affect Aerodactyl.", asked Miliot

"I have no idea. I think this guy is just plain stupid.", declared Dexos

The string shot was massive. Aerodactyl was now using 'Rock Polish'. It would increase its speed. It was like 'Agility' but for a rock type Pokemon. Meanwhile, Beedrill didn't stop using String shot. When it was finished, except for the few spots, the whole field was filled with String shot. It was also able to use agility the 2nd time. This was its maximum capacity.

The preparation has been done and now the real battle would start.

"Aerodactyl, start with 'Wing attack'"

"Rooar.."

Suddenly the wings started to shine and it increased its speed to strike Beedrill.

"Beedrill use 'String shot' in the wings and go to the ground."

And it did the same. The string shot in the wings didn't have any effect as the shining wings were extremely sharp. But Beedrill did manage to dodge the attack once again.

Flint told Aerodactyl to use 'Wing attack' again. Beedrill was now on the ground.

"Beedrill, use 'String shot' again in the wings," told Axel

"Does this Beedrill not have any attacking moves? What is it doing?", asked Miliot. From the start of the battle till now, it was just dodging the attacks and using 'String shot'. For Miliot, it was just a waste of time.

Just as Aerodactyl was going to strike Beedrill, it used 'String shot' in Aerodactyl but in its eyes not in the wings. Blinded, Aerodactyl was helpless. Beedrill tried to dodge the attack but it was hit by the tip of its wings. Flying moves were super effective against it.

However, Aerodactyl now had splashed on the ground and what was in the ground? 'String shot'.

"Beedrill!!!!, Now"

Beedrill immediately used 'Electoweb'. The mastery of 'Electroweb' was not so good but it was supper effective against Aerodactyl.

Electroweb trapped Aerodactyl even more. However, Axel knew that it was not over cause Flint was still calm.
