Powerful Mamoswine

Everyone was surprised, including Axel, who had never seen a Mamoswine in real life. He had known that if Piloswine learned 'Ancient Power', it would evolve into Mamoswine, but that hadn't happened yet. Instead, he had let it level up the move to 40, and now it had finally evolved.

Mamoswine was massive. While a normal Mamoswine stood at around 8 feet tall, Axel's Mamoswine towered at approximately 14 feet. Even from a few meters away, he could feel the chilling coldness emanating from its tusks.

"ROARRRRR!"

It was clear that Mamoswine was not in control of itself. Evolving had allowed it to tap into a part of its ancient form, and now it was intoxicated with power. Axel quickly instructed Shedinja to use 'Hypnosis' and Gogoat to trap it with 'Field Control'. After a struggle, Mamoswine finally fell asleep, bringing a sense of relief to Axel. A 14-foot-tall, rampaging monster was anything but a calm sight.

Axel then examined Mamoswine's stats:

"What the hell is happening?" shouted Axel out loud.

"That's a delayed reaction, but I can understand. How could a Piloswine further evolve?" said A.

K and B were still unable to speak, their surprise evident at witnessing the evolution of Piloswine. However, Axel wasn't surprised by the evolution itself. He was astonished by the changes in Mamoswine's stats.

First, there was its potential. It had risen from Brown (Monstrous) to Black (Monstrous). Such a potential increase was exceedingly rare.

Second, both the ability and hidden ability had significantly improved. The ability was nearing 100% mastery, while the hidden ability had risen to 87%. This was a substantial increase, and Axel suspected that evolving to Mamoswine had aided this growth.

Third, all of Mamoswine's stats had risen to the maximum level, S. Axel was surprised that they hadn't reverted to an F rank. However, he could sense that if Mamoswine hadn't evolved and achieved all S-rank stats, it wouldn't have become as powerful.

Fourth, its health had skyrocketed to 4000! It had increased from 1800, adding a massive 2200 to its health. To say the least, it had become incredibly sturdy.

Fifth, the levels of its Ice and Ground moves had both reached 39. Axel also noted the rise in its Ground typing moves to level 39, despite not having a Ground core. While a Pokémon typically developed mastery over its typing through core advancements, Mamoswine seemed to be increasing its Ground typing moves as well. Axel couldn't fathom why this was happening and resolved to conduct further research.

Sixth, there was a significant increase in the mastery percentage of its hidden ability typing, Steel. Axel had no idea why this had occurred either.

And finally, there was a new tab for Ancient Power with 1% mastery. Axel couldn't make sense of the situation. The move 'Ancient Power' seemed to have disappeared, replaced by this new tab. What did it mean? How could he increase its mastery, and what would happen when it reached 100%? Would Mamoswine evolve even further? None of this had been mentioned in the game or anime.

Axel clicked on the Ancient Power tab, revealing the system's explanation:

This was what the system had to say about the new tab. But what did it mean by "further advancement"? Axel's head was spinning with questions, and he decided to take a break and clear his mind.

Mark, who had witnessed the evolution, bombarded Axel with a series of questions, annoying him to no end.

"How did this happen? Can you tell me how to evolve it further like this? What did you do? Is this another friendship evolution?"

"Mark, can you please shut up for a while? I need to gather my thoughts first," Axel replied in an annoyed voice.

His mind was also filled with questions. While he was pleased with Mamoswine's newfound strength, he couldn't explain all the changes that had occurred. The system offered no assistance, repeatedly telling him to figure it out on his own.

After taking several deep breaths, Axel composed himself and said, "Okay, now I'm calm. No, it's not a friendship evolution. I simply felt that 'Ancient Power' was an intriguing move. I believed that if the move was mastered to a significant extent, it would unveil some secret. So, that's exactly what I did, and Piloswine evolved into Mamoswine."
