He looked at Beedrill's stats. It had been a long time since he had done so.

It had trained very seriously in its new moves and there was some noticeable progress. However, its main move was still 'Resolve'. Axel had come up with another idea to upgrade it. 'Resolve' was now in stage III and it had become more difficult to level it up after its every upgrade. 

He wanted Beedrill to level up 'Laser focus' to 40. He thought that it would massively help it to reach the next stage. The new moves of Beedrill were very creative and it would massively improve its battle power. 

However, Beedrill was still lacking in a powerful bug-type move. A type of move that would decide the battle. Axel thought to give it a thought. 

Make no mistake, Beedrill was a powerful Pokemon. Due to its passive move, its body stats were very high for a pseudo-king rank Pokemon. Its mastery of moves had also increased to due its passive move.

However, Beedrill was not able to master its ability during the 1 month of training. It had dedicated most of its time in learning new moves and training them. It was also concentrated in the move 'Laser focus'. 

Axel was not in a hurry but Beedrill also had to learn a pre-domain move. It was still very far from reaching king rank status.

Shedinja had also improved a lot. It had leveled up 5 moves to level 40:

1. Hypnosis: This can now affect enemy Pokemon during day time too. 

2. Shadow control: The tentacles now have mini blades that shred the target.

3. Gravity: Can use reverse gravity on opponents

4. Agility: Can use it 4 times

5. Substitute: can now use substitute to attack too.

The most improvement was brought up by 'Substitute'. Now the substitutes could be used to attack too. The power of the attack of a substitute was only 30% of the original power but Shedinja could use 3 substitutes now.

These were the current stats of Shedinja. Due to leveling up 'Agility' and 'Gravity' to over level 40, its hidden power had also been mastered to 55%. That was a huge improvement. 

'Substitute' was now level 50 which was very high. He wanted it to level up 'Shadow Domain' to level 40. He was interested in its effects. The drain in stamina from the move had decreased but it was still a one-time thing.

Gogoat was doing very well. When he first met Gogoat, he never thought that it would be one of his main Pokemons. It had learned a new move called 'Grass domain' and also leveled up a lot of other moves. However, during the battle with Hypno, it learned an interesting move.

Gogoat has killed Hypno.

Gogoat has learned Clam mind.

Normally, Gogoat could not learn this move but due to 'Move capture', a new talent of Axel, it had learned 'Calm mind'.

'Calm mind' was one the best supporting move to have but it was equally hard to train. Axel didn't know if Gogoat could properly train on it.

Finally Nidorino. Nidorino had done a great job in the last month. First of all, it leveled up 'Substitute' 'Spinning poison', 'Poison spread', and 'Poison damage transfer' to level 40. 

It had also learned 'Sand storm', 'Fissure', and 'Mud bomb'. However, it was still not able to master its ability and hidden ability.

This was a huge problem. Axel was okay with its ability not being 'mastered' but he was not liking 'Hustle' being only at 100%. 

When Nidorino evolves to Nidoking, its hidden ability changes from 'Hustle' to 'Sheer force'. Axel didn't know what would happen to 'Hustle' after it evolved but he did remember Giovanni saying something about it in his book.

Giovanni said that he was not sure about it but if a Pokemon's ability or hidden ability changes after the evolution and the Pokemon had properly mastered its ability or hidden ability before its evolution, then there would be a good effect on the Pokemon in the future. 

Axel could say that it was very close to mastering 'Hustle'. It had an idea of how to do it and it was training on it but the expedition to Mt. Moon would start tomorrow. 

Would Nidorino be able to master it by tomorrow? He didn't know but he also could not delay this any longer. 

Axel could not even be angry at it. In this past month, Nidorino had worked the hardest among all of his Pokemon. It had even worked harder than Shedinja. 

After it was told that it was going to evolve very soon, it seemed like it had woken up from sleep. It was training like a maniac. Axel had to forcefully stop its training time sometime cause it was getting out of hand.

"Nidorino, slow down. Ok, just come here. I have something to say to you.", said Axel. 

It was still training. 

"I know you want to master your hidden ability but it is not worth it if you are hurting yourself. Even if you don't master your hidden ability, I will still make you the most powerful Nidorino there is. 

So, rest for some time and then train. You need rest too."

Axel tried to calm it down and it did help Nidorino. A sense of clarity came over it. 

It rested for 30 minutes and Axel was talking to it for the whole time. 

"Ok, you can go and train but remember to not overdo it."

It was already night and Axel was ready to sleep. Nidorino was still training. Axel told it to rest for 1 hour before it starts its training again. He could understand its feeling. 

He had told Nidorino that it would get a boost if it mastered its hidden ability and Nidorino knew that Axel would not lie. So, it wanted to master its hidden ability before it evolves. 

This had now become more of a mental battle for Nidorino rather than a physical one. If it could not master its hidden ability before its evolution, it would feel defeated and that would lower its morale. 

Axel didn't want that to happen so he let it train in the night too. Unfortunately, this was something it had to do itself. Axel could not help it all the time. Nidorino was now growing and Axel had to let it free to make its own decision. 

Thinking about all the things, he went to sleep.

Next day,

Axel woke up and he was flooded by the notification from the system. This did happen sometimes when the Pokemons that trained at night were able to level up their moves or upgrade their stats. There were multiple notifications and most of them were about Nidorino. He looked into it.

He went out of the house and found Shedinja.

"Marcus, what happened to Nidorino?"

"SHed.. Shed…."

It said something signaling it to follow it. Axel followed it to a Pokemon center. 

"Nurse, I believe that one of my Pokemon was injured at night. It was a Nidorino.", said Axel.

"Don't worry, Mr. Axel. Nidorino is now out of danger. It seemed like it trained very hard last night and managed to injure itself seriously. But it is okay now. It would be discharged in a couple of hours."

Axel took a long breath.
