Light's and Ivysaur's upgrade

Firstly, most of its psychic-type moves had leveled up. It seemed that when a move levels up to 30, it would be hard to level it faster. When it reaches 40, it becomes even harder.

Leveling up his skill 'Identify' to level 10 started showing itself. In Ivysaur stat's, it showed the details of items too. Axel looked at Alakazam's and Beedrill's stat again to find out the same. Beedrill had the 'Scope lens' and Alakazam had something called the 'Psyc bracelet'.

Same as Alakazam, the grass-type moves of Ivysaur had gained some level and it had learned a new move 'Leech whip'. Axel just combined the names of the 2 moves. He was not creative enough to name it completely different.
