The brown and purple light started to envelop Nidoking. Since it was going to rank up to king rank, he told his sister and his mother to get inside the house cause it could be really destructive. 

The sand started to rage and Axel could also see a the surrounding was turning purple in color. These were poisons. Axel called out all of it Pokemons inside the balls and got ready for it. 

Since Nidoking had 2 cores and 2 pre-domains, its rank-up process was very deadly. If Axel had not been a rare rank human, he would have been seriously injured by the rank-up process.

Both of the pre-domains activated instantly and Axel could barely open his eyes due to the sandstorm. Red used some of his mysterious powers and covered Axel in a blue light. Axel didn't know what it was but made him feel comfortable and surprisingly, he didn't get poisoned. 

After 10 minutes,

Nidoking had finally ranked up to king rank. It took some time for Nidoking to control itself and Axel taught it how to control its aura. Hiding the aura would take some time but controlling it could be done within minutes. 

Axel was really happy that Nidoking had finally ranked up. He now had 4 king-rank Pokemons. That was a huge achievement for a 15-year-old kid.

Mamoswine also had its rank-up condition and now all of the 8 pseudo-king ranks Pokemons had either ranked up to king rank or had their rank-up condition.

Some of its moves have leveled up and its health was very massive now. Nidoking was a bit slower to rank up due to its evolution. Its body had completely changed and it needed a lot of time to adjust. It had to also change its fighting style.

However, now it was a king-rank Pokemon.

After 45 days,

There were no rank-ups during this time. It was just pure training. By this time, all of the training grounds had been made and the project had been completed. Angela said that she wanted to come here and visit the training ground but Axel told her and Lance to wait for some time. 

He was very busy with training his Pokemons and himself. Ranking up from rare rank to elemental rank was very hard for Axel. Just like for Pokemons, reaching elemental rank was also a threshold for humans and it would take some time to reach there.

He had powered up a lot. Steelix and Nidoking were getting accustomed after reaching king rank. After king rank, the progress was very slow. None of them had reached tier 2 of king rank and Steelix had been a king rank Pokemon for some time now. 

Only 15 days were left before the start of the league battle. Actually, it was 20 days but Axel would leave home after the 15th day. It may take a couple of minutes to reach Kanto league with Red's Alakazam but Red advised to reach there 5 days before.

"You would have a chance to see the competitors and also get comfortable in the new place. This is a very important thing. League battles could be very taxing for the first-timers. The pressure is very high, so take your time to roam around the place and also visit the battle stadiums."

"Will you be with me to the whole league battle?"

"I want to but I can only be with you till the end of the preliminaries. Oak has assigned me a job and I will be busy for a couple of months.", said Red.

Since Red had trained Axel for 7 months, he wanted to see the fruit of his labor but Oak had assigned him an important task that only he could do. So, he had to go. He was disappointed but he was confident in one thing.

No One Can Beat Axel In League Battle!!!!

Having 4 king-rank Pokemons was not a joke. King rank was a big hurdle to cross and it was very rare for trainers to have them who compete in league battles.

There were some of them who were re-trying again and had lost in the league battle. There would also be some fresh faces. But having a king-rank Pokemon was very rare and Red assumed that except for Axel, none of them had one. 

Axel then called out all of his Pokemons and said,

"We only have 20 days until the league battle starts. Those who are not in pseudo-king rank till now would not be able to participate."

Pidgeot was the most angry about this announcement. It had trained a lot to reach elemental rank and now it could not participate in league battle? How did that make any sense?

"Don't worry. My plan is to become a Pokemon master and we would be battling in many league battles. So, your chances would come. You just have to be ready for it in the future.

Those who are in pseudo-king rank right now, let me tell you, you only have 10 days to train. After the 10th day, all of you would be given a special bath and some medicines to recover. This would happen till the 15th day and after the 15th day, we will leave home.

So, Tauros and Absol. You only have 10 days to rank up to the pseudo-king rank.

Now, let's start the training!!"

The Pokemons were hyped up and they started their training. Training ground helped a lot in their training and their progress was very huge.

After 8 days,

Absol and Tauros were trying their level best to rank up. They were not slacking in their training. Tauros loved to train in the base stats training ground. Training in these training grounds had rapidly boosted its stats and now all of them were in S rank except for its special defense.

Finally, it was starting to rank up to pseudo-king rank. Axel had waited for this movement for a long time. 

The process of ranking up took some time and after 7 minutes, it had ranked up to the pseudo-king rank

It roared in excitement. Absol was its rival and it was the first to rank up to pseudo-king rank. It was very happy that it had beaten its rival. Tauros was so drunk on its power and the rush of rank-up that Axel had to use Alakazam to control it.

After it calmed down and was beaten by Alakazam, it went to sleep. Axel then looked at its stats.

If one were to say that normal-type Pokemons were weak cause they basically had no typing, then they would be wrong. Yes, it was true that a normal-type Pokemon didn't have any typing. It was just normal.

However, among all the other types, normal types had the most flexibility. Since it didn't have any typing, it could use other typing moves very easily. It would still not be better than those Pokemons who had those typings. For example, Tauros could not have good fire-type manipulation like that of Charizard but it would still be leagues better than Gyarados. 

Axel was going to focus on that from now on. The foundation of Tauros was already set. It was now time to let it fly. Axel had not made any mistakes in its desires and instincts. It was a powerful Pokemon that focused on charged-type attacks and that was what Axel had focused it on. 

Axel also told it to learn 'Work up' which would increase its attack power, 'Bide' for a strategic move, and 'Iron tail' cause this could also be a very powerful attack for it. 

Tauros had 3 tails and using a move like 'Iron tail' would be beneficial for it. 

It had also leveled up its moves by a huge margin. Axel looked at the moves who had crossed the threshold.

              (Level 45): Increase the speed of the Pokemon.

Horn attack (Tauros): (Level 40): It has a more piercing effect.

Raging bull (Tauros): (Level 40): The speed of the attack has increased and it has become even more deadly.

Finally, it was ranking up to pseudo-king rank. Axel had waited a lot for this movement and it was happening now.

Absol didn't lose control like Tauros. It took some time to adjust itself after the rank up but it was ready to go after some time.

Some of its moves had leveled up and also crossed the threshold. It had also learned 'Calm mind' and 'Snarl'. Unfortunately, it could not level up its passive move cause passive moves were very hard to upgrade

Dark Pulse (Absol): (Level 40): Includes horrible aura which may make the target flinch in fear.

Magic Coat (Absol): (Level 40): Has a 50% chance to reflect the special effects back to the attacker.

Night slash (Absol): (Level 40): Can send out a dark slash to the attacker. It has now become a special attack

                  (Level 45): Will send out 2 dark slashes from different directions.

Stone edge (Absol): (Level 40): The move is faster.

Payback (Absol): (Level 40): The can be used subconsciously now. There was is 30% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked first.

Assurance (Absol): (Level 40): The can be used subconsciously now. There was is 30% chance that the power would be doubled if the user was attacked in the same turn.

Feint Attack (Absol): (Level 40): Absol is very fast when it draws up close to the enemy. It is extremely difficult for a Pokemon of the same rank to dodge it.

It had become powerful. From a weak and little Absol to a strong and powerful Absol. Frankly, it was very hard for Axel to train Absol as it was a dark-type Pokemon.

Dark types were very confusing and very complicated to train. Red helped Axel in this issue and Absol was finally becoming powerful.
