Desires and Instinct

The first thing they planned to do was fulfill all the requirements of king-rank Pokemon.

There were 2 things that Axel's Pokemon were struggling with. Pre-domain and mastering the ability. Some of them had done it while some of them were still trying to complete it. 

Another requirement was their body stats. Body stats had become extremely difficult to upgrade now.

So,

1. Nidoking had to master its ability and create a pre-domain.

2. Steelix had to create its pre-domain. 

3. Beedrill had to master its ability and create a pre-domain.

4. Alakazam had to create its pre-domain.

"They will complete all of it in a month.", said Red.

"Red, I don't think that it is possible to do it in a month.", replied Axel.

"Don't worry Axel, you have me now. I will help you to do it.", said Red and called out 4 Pokemons.

They were Nidorino, Steelix, Beedrill, and Alakazam.

Axel could feel a huge pressure from them. Specially Steelix. He could feel that Steelix may be a champion-rank Pokemon. 

"I have caught a lot of Pokemons in my journey. Nidorino is king rank, Steelix is champion rank, Beedrill is king-rank and Alakazam is pseudo-champion rank.

All of them will help your Pokemon in mastering their ability and creating their pre-domain. Tell your Pokemons not to copy all of it and only get the ideas from my Pokemon. I want your Pokemon to be original.", said Red.

"Thanks, Red. This would boost their training pace.", said Axel.

"I am here to help. How goes the gems and resources for ground-type core?", asked Red.

"They would be here after some hours."

"Are you sure that there would be no problems?"

"Yes, I am sure."

Having 2 cores inside a Pokemon with no risk was a foreign concept for Red. He had not heard of such things before. However, Axel assured that this was his talent and he was 100% sure about it. 

The ground-type gem and other resources were for Nidoking. Axel had told Alakazam to go to the forest and talk to Slowbro about it. It was happy to send out the resources relating to ground-type core mastery.

Other Pokemon were also not sitting quietly. Tauros and Absol now had to create a new move for their rank up. It was one of the conditions for their rank-up. 

Axel had already thought about the concepts of their new move and Red improved it a little.

"Gyarados, first of all, you should level up 'Sky walk' to level 40. Then think about leveling 'Hydro pump' to level 40. We would also think of a new attacking move for you and also practice 'Water manipulation'.", said Axel.

Gyarados was now an elemental rank Pokemon and now it needed to master its moves to level 40. It was high time to do it. 

Axel first told it to train in 'Water manipulation', at the start of the day and then with 'Hydro pump.' It would also train in moves like 'Thrash', 'Outrage' and 'Crunch'. 'Sky walk' would be an important move for Gyarados as it would increase its flexibility.

Gyarados knew 2 new moves; 'Sky walk' and 'Water manipulation'. Both of them were supporting type moves and now he wanted it to have a powerful attacking move.

Axel had to change the training plans for Mamoswine when Red interfered with it. While thinking about its training plans, Axel had not accounted for the desires and instincts of his Pokemon.

Mamoswine was Pokemon that was known for its defense and high special offense. Its tusks were also a deadly weapon. Axel had focused on its special attack but had not thought to focus on its defense and its trunks.

"Axel, when your Pokemon ranks up to a higher level, they would be closer to their primal self and when they reach god rank, they would be in their most primal self. 

Mamoswine is a Pokemon that is known for its defense and its tusks. You would have to focus on it otherwise it would be harder for Mamoswine to reach higher ranks."

The first thing Mamoswine was going to do was to focus on 'Iron Defense' and 'Sand Armor'. 

"Wait? How do you know about Mamoswine's instincts and desires?", asked Axel.

"When you reach my stage, you will hear about a lot of things.", said Red with a smile.

Axel then turned to Mamoswine and said, "Mamoswine, your task is to level them up both to 40. It should be done in a month. We will also think about a new move that would concentrate on your tusks."

Due to its massive size, it was a slow Pokemon but that was the only disadvantage that it had. It would have high defense, high attack, and special attack power and high special defense. This would make it a complete Mamoswine. 

Red was now not so surprised seeing Mamoswine or Nidoking. He must have read the history of this world or must have some knowledge about it.

"Gogoat, you would first train to improve your 'Solar beam', 'Growth', 'Grassy Terrain' and 'Horn leech'. Concentrate on your 'Horn leech' more. 

I want your horns to be powerful enough. Your horns are your uniqueness and I want to explore that uniqueness. What do you think about it?", asked Axel.

Gogoat agreed in a heartbeat. It trusted Axel a lot, so if he was saying to concentrate on the horns, then it would concentrate on the horns.

"Axel, Gogoat is a mountain Pokemon. It is very friendly and is known to carry heavy loads in the mountain. 

I think we should focus on 'Growth', 'Grassy Terrain', and 'Horn leech'"

Its hidden ability complements 'Grassy Terrain', and 'Growth' is a powerful move too. This would help it increase its body stats which was what mountain Pokemon were supposed to do."

Axel also told it to focus on its new pre-domain move, 'Grass domain'.

Red had no problems with Venusaur's current training plan. It was still an elemental rank Pokemon and it was a powerful elemental rank Pokemon. Its foundation was very strong. Venusaur was known to manipulate grass and convert sun rays to energy. 

Axel had been training it in the same concept. However, Axel felt that it was not time for it to have other attacking moves. 

It had many supporting and healing moves. He told it to focus on the new move 'Restore' and also 'Field control'. It had painstakingly leveled 'Field control' to level 40. 

He wanted it to level up 'Field control' to such a level that it would be able to create a huge forest from it. That would take a lot of practice. 

He also told it to focus on 'Sunny day' and 'Solar beam'. He would also think of a new move for Venusaur.

Pidgeot was the only uncommon-rank Pokemon. It was on the verge of reaching rare rank and it was a powerful Pokemon. Axel told it to practice its current moves and focus on its body stats. It still needed to grow up a bit.

The main problem was Beedrill. It had to train on its ability and pre-domain. It also needed a strong bug-type attack move. However, its problem was related to its instincts and desires. 

Beedrill was a Pokemon that lived in groups. However, Axel didn't have other Beedrills with him. It was a Pokemon that focused on speed and attack. Axel knew that it would be on its more primal self if it was part of a tribe or if it was the leader of a tribe. 

Axel asked Red about this issue and since Red also had a Beedrill, he had thought of a simple solution.

"Let it roam around the forest and let it find a tribe of Beedrill. You don't need to have your Pokemons with you all the time. They also need to experience how their species functions.

You can just let it roam with a wild tribe of Beedrill when you want. This would maintain Beedrill in its primal self. I also do the same thing.

"Red, I can understand that Pokemon's desires and instincts need to be addressed cause we want them to feel their primal self. 

You also told me that a god-rank Pokemon would be closest to its primal self. So, I now know that we need to do this to rank them up easily in the future. 

But why?"

"What do you mean? You just answered your question right now.", said Red.

"I mean, why do we need a Pokemon to be in its primal self to rank up to god rank?"

"Oh, you mean that? That is easy. It is the DNA of a Pokemon.

You should know that for every Pokemon that see here, at least one of their species has become god rank at one point in time. They became god ranks and one of the main ingredients was their internal desires and instincts. 

So, every Pokemon that we have here including yours are the descendant of these god-rank Pokemons. These instincts and desires, there are embedded in their DNA and it would help them in later ranks. 

You could also train your Pokemon with a different concept and they might also reach god rank in the future but they would be going against their DNA. It would be extremely hard for them to rank up to god rank with a different concept."

Axel had heard a quote in his previous world and that was, 'Only discipline could change your DNA.' and he wholeheartedly believed it. He didn't know if it would apply to this world but he wanted to test. 

It was not that he wanted to take the risk of changing their desires and instinct. However, what about the Pokemons that he would catch in the future?

Some of them may not be okay to follow their ancestor's instincts and desires. He would have to be ready for it.

They told all of his Pokemons what they should do to train. Red and Axel would watch and monitor their training and point out the mistakes. This job would mainly be done by Red cause….

"Now, since we have finished with the training plans of your Pokemons, we would now concentrate on the plans for your own training. 

Let me tell you something. I can kill you with a single punch. That is the difference between you and me and I have still not reached the stage where I would qualify to become a Pokemon master.", said Red. 

"Wait a minute, I also have to be strong and reach a certain stage to qualify for Pokemon master?", asked Axel.

"Yes, of course, you have to. You think you can become the god of humans, equal to Arceus by remaining weak. Didn't Oak tell you about this?", asked Red.

"He did say to train hard and I am behind in my training but nothing much."

Oak had transferred him a trillion Poke dollars yesterday and he had around 4 billion Poke dollars with him. His stats had also increased a bit due to the seriousness of his training. 

Axel started to concentrate on Red's stats as hard as he could. He wanted to at least find out the value of one of his stats.

Due to repeatedly using 'Identify' on a person with higher stats, 'Identify' has leveled up to 14.

He then looked at Red's stats again and some of his stats were now visible.

"WoHHH!!!", he shouted. Red was at least 100 times more powerful than Axel. That was inhuman. Axel knew that stats get difficult to rise up after they reach a certain threshold so every rise in stats had more effect than before.

For example, Strength rising from 10 to 11 would make a human a little bit stronger but strength rising from 100 to 101 would make it more stronger. 

Axel could make a guess that Red was at least 1000 times stronger than him. He could not even believe that a human could be so powerful.

  "What happened, what are you staring at?", asked Red.

"I told you that I could see the information of a Pokemon right? Well, I could see your information too. You are vastly stronger than me. I mean I could not see all of your information 'cause I am still weak but I could see some of them."

"Really, tell me the information, I want to know.", said Red. He was excited to know how powerful he was.

Axel went and took a piece of paper. He copied his stats and numbers and also did the same for Red.

"What are these question marks?"

"Oh, I could not see all of your stat information that is why I wrote question mark."

"Axel you have a handy ability. This could be invaluable in the future.

Now, coming to your training. You are to master the basic swordsmanship manual of 'Heaven's Fall' in one month."

"WHAT?????"
