Butterfree 1

The fire beam hit Butterfree on its body, and now its whole body was surrounded by fire. The surrounding heat made the fire even more powerful. Everyone could now see a bulb of fire flying high in the sky: it was Butterfree.

The flames weakened 'Shadow control,' and Butterfree was able to escape. As a bug-type Pokemon, it was weak against fire, and this move must have dealt a good amount of damage to it. Right?

WRONG...

When it was able to free itself, the fire surrounding its body started to glow in a green light. Its whole body was now glowing in green light. The fire started to slowly disappear, and now all of them could see Butterfree. It had some burnt marks but looked fiercer and more powerful than before.

"PREEEEEEEE," it shouted in rage.

"This must be 'Fire conversion.' That is an annoying ability," Axel thought.

Butterfree then opened its mouth, and a small circle of yellow color appeared. That small ball went up inside and increased the heat of the surroundings. It was 'Sunny day.'

Fearing that it might use 'Solar beam,' Axel told Alakazam to back off. However, he was surprised again. Butterfree made a weird sound vibration, and Alakazam was affected. This was 'Bug buzz.' Axel was already familiar with the attack.

Taking advantage of the situation, Butterfree started to dance in a weird way. This was 'Quiver dance,' a move that would increase its special attack, special defense, and speed.

Axel also told Alakazam to use 'Calm mind' again. Since it had already leveled up to 40, it didn't take much time.

"Light, use 'Elemental manipulation,' thunder spears," said Axel.

Five sharp spears made out of electric current appeared and moved towards Butterfree. These spears looked different than before, more solid and bulky. This was a level 40 'Elemental manipulation.'

Alakazam had been able to level it up in a week's time, but it could not level up 'Greater Telekinesis.' The requirement for its level up was a bit complicated and it needed some more time.

Anyway, those five spears made of yellow electric current flew towards Butterfree. With the help of 'Quiver dance,' it had increased its speed and could dodge.

However, it could not dodge all five spears. It perfectly dodged three spears and used 'String shot' to slow down the fourth spear, successfully dodging it, but the last spear was the problem.

As per Axel's calculation, it should have been able to dodge it, but it didn't. It held its ground and started to gather power. It used 'String shot' to cover its left wing and started to gather power.

Since the thunder spear was in semi-solid form, it had higher penetrating power. The spear hit its left wing, creating a mini blast that caused debris and dust to surround Butterfree.

No one knew Butterfree's fate, but suddenly, everyone got alert. They noticed a strong green beam of absolute power heading towards Alakazam.

BOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM…

The blast was huge and unexpected. The dust around Butterfree settled, and everyone could see that the strings that covered its left wing were all gone, leaving a small hole filled with blood on the wing.

Butterfree started to glow in a green hue, and the hole slowly closed up. Its healing powers were over the top. Nobody knew how it was able to do it, but Axel could make a guess. This must have been 'Bug life.'

What was surprising about this move was that Butterfree not only healed itself, but Axel also noticed that it had recovered some of its stamina. That was a huge thing. Axel had never seen a healing ability that could recover stamina too.

The dust from the earlier blast was now gone, and Butterfree was shocked. Instead of an injured Alakazam, there was Shedinja without any injuries. It got alert, ready to strike again.

When Butterfree used 'Solar beam,' Alakazam used 'Ally switch' to switch itself with Shedinja. Since Shedinja was immune to grass-type attacks, this didn't do any damage.

Butterfree started to use 'String shot' all over the place. It wanted to strike Shedinja, but Shedinja was too fast for it to hit. Shedinja used a 'Shadow ball,' which was dodged by Butterfree, and after some time, it was finally able to use 'String shot' to cover all of Shedinja.

It then gave a loud screech, and... PRIIIII…

Instantly, the strings that covered Shedinja like a cocoon started to have thorns. Every part of the cocoon had sharp thorns made of string, and it looked like Shedinja was pierced by them.

Butterfree flew high in the air and moved towards Shedinja, ready to strike with 'Aerial ace.' If this move hit, Shedinja would be gone for good. 'Aerial ace' was a flying-type move, and it was super effective against Shedinja.

Axel was not going to let that happen.

"Light!!!" shouted Axel.

Alakazam appeared out of nowhere and used 'Confusion.' As Butterfree was in the middle of using 'Aerial ace,' it got disbalanced and hit the ground. Alakazam was quick and used thunder spears again to hit Butterfree. Three of them made holes in different parts of its wings.

Meanwhile, Shedinja came out of the string cocoon and used 'Hyper beam' towards Butterfree.

The move connected, and now no one knew if Butterfree was alive.

Axel told Shedinja and Alakazam to be ready to strike again. Since these string cocoon and thorns used bug-type energy, Shedinja was immune to it. Shedinja was now turning out to be an OP Pokemon. This new move must have been 'String Pierce.'

The dust settled, and he could see that Butterfree was heavily injured. It had multiple wounds on its body, and some of them were very serious.

Axel started to move towards it but was stopped by Amanda.

"Ummm… Axel, do you mind if I catch that one?"
