Bagon Hatched

Axel decided to make a foolproof plan first. He had already participated in the league battle and now he only needed to fight with the champion of the Kanto region. 

He had just started Johto region. Including the Johto region, 7 regions were left to be concurred. Every region had its conditions. Like, you would have to start from the beginning for the Johto region. However, the conditions of all the other 6 regions were not so harsh.

Hoenn: You can only use Pokemons that you have not used in any other gyms, league battle, elite 4 battle and champion battle.

Sinnoh: You can only use Pokemons that you have not used in champion battles.

Unova: You can only use Pokemons that you have not used in league battle, elite 4 battle and champion battle.

Kalos: You can only use Pokemon that are in the Pokedex entry of the Kalos region.

Alola: You can use any Pokemons

Galar: You can only use Pokemon that are in the Pokedex entry of the Galar region.

Paldea had still not become the main region. It was in the process of being formed and Axel knew that it would take some years to be recognized as the main region. 

After Johto, he would go to the Hoenn region, then the Unova region then the Sinnoh region. Alola region was the easiest region to complete as Axel could use any Pokemons in his team. He could go there right now and finish all the gyms but he would not do so right now.

Kalos and Galar region were interesting. They would only let the Pokemons that were in their Pokedex entry

The Pokemon that Axel had for the Kalos Pokedex were:

1. Pidgeot

2. Gyarados

3. Venusaur

4. Charizard

5. Gogoat

6. Alakazam

7. Shedinja

He already had 7 Pokemons, so he was covered. 

For the Galar region, he had:

1. Mamoswine

2. Shedinja

3. Gyarados

4. Togekiss

5. Charizard

He already had 5 Pokemon with him for the Galar region, so he was not so worried about it. 

Now, After getting Togepi, Bagon, Totodile, and Arcon, he still needed Pokemon with fighting, steel and electric type cores. He was definitely going to get a Riolu but he was not sure about others. 

He thought to figure it out as he progressed. 

Axel would rest here for a few more days until Bagon came out of the egg. After that, the next city he would go to would be Cherrygrove city. This was city that was between New bark town and Violet city. 

Violet city would be the first city where he would battle in a gym. The Pokemon must be at least a rare rank for the gym so it would take some time. He decided that he would walk through Cherrygrove city and a bunch of other towns and cities to reach Violet city. 

This would be ideal for training his new Pokemons and also his old Pokemons. Axel had not forgotten to train his old Pokemons. Most of them were in king rank or pseudo-king rank but they needed their training to rank up.

"Elm, I have something to ask. I have caught a Slowbro recently but I have yet to register it in the Pokemon Center. I caught it before I registered for the Johto region. So, can I register it now and use it in the Johto region?"

"Of course you can. You will have to register it first and then you can use it. But I suggest you to register it as fast as you can. If your Pokemon or the ball got lost, you cannot claim its ownership.", said Elm.

That was huge cause Slowbro was actually a king-rank Pokemon. he could defeat all the gyms in the Johto region with just Slowbro but he knew that it would not be ideal as his new Pokemons would also need experience. 

Axel realized that except for Bagon and Slowbro, all of these newly caught Pokemons could use 'Ancient power'. If all of them could level it up to 40, then it would be a huge power-up.

Axel had 3 years for his Pokemons to reach king rank and get ready for the league battle. So, he had enough time. He first went to the Pokemon center and registered all of his Pokemons for the Johto region. 

Only Bagon was left and it would hatch in 2-3 days. Axel was eagerly waiting for his first dragon-type Pokemon.

After 3 days,

Axel was staring at the incubator. Bagon was going to hatch anytime now. He had not been able to sleep for many days now. This was also due to his new Pokemons. All of his new Pokemons were very small and they were very energetic. They would sleep less and disturb Axel at night. They wanted Axel's attention.

Axel could not get angry at them cause this was a phase that all of them had to cross. But today he was going to sleep for 10 hours no matter what. He would later realize that Bagon would not let him sleep tonight. 

Crack.. Crack… 

The egg started to crack out loud. It was a silent room, so the sound of the cracks echoed all over the room.

With a final crack, a Pokemon came out.

It was a bipedal, blue, reptilian Pokemon. It possessed a large, round snout, triangular eyes, yellow, circular ears similar to reptiles, and a yellow lower jaw with two teeth protruding upwards. Three thick, gray ridges covered the top of its head and continued downwards to cover its neck as well. There was a triangular patch of yellow on its underside. It had stubby, digitless arms and short legs with two toes on each foot. 

It was…

"Ba.. Bagon.."

It cried softly as it was trying to get out of the egg. It was around 2-3 feet tall and it looked very cute. It saw Axel for the first time and was immediately recognized as its father. Axel kneeled down and gave it a hug.

"Welcome to the world Bagon. You are going to be the strongest Salamence ever. I promise you that.", said Axel.

Bagon could not understand Axel fully but it trusted Axel with its life. Axel immediately took out Gogoat's milk and started to feed Bagon. After drinking a lot of milk, it slept happily.

All of his Pokemons were inside the balls. He didn't want to frighten Bagon. He thought to introduce them tomorrow. It was already evening. The training would start tomorrow.

The next day,

"Can I really do it?"

"Of course you can. Dragon-type Pokemons are not a joke Axel. You can start to train Bagon after a week. However, it should be light training. Don't make it learn other moves. Only tell it to master egg moves for now till 3 months pass."

"Thanks, Elm. That was a big help. How are we going on recipes?"

"All of them had been ordered. You have already paid the price, so all of them are yours now. If you need any other recipes for your other Pokemons, do contact me. I will help you out."

Axel introduced all Bagon to all of his Pokemons. It was scared at first but it started to get comfortable as it got to know them.

He looked at Bagon's stats:

Axel expected Bagon's move pool to be ordinary but it was not. If he was going to train these moves for 3 months, then he wanted all of them to be above level 30 by that time. Maybe he could bypass this requirement to train only the egg moves from his system. He would experiment with it in the future.

Togepi was very happy now. It was not the youngest anymore. It had 3 young Pokemons under it now. It decided to boss them around but also decided to protect them cause they were so weak. 

For the Johto Pokemon, Togepi was the strongest in the team except for Slowbro. There was no doubt about it. 

The training was going to start. He will be moving from here tomorrow but the training would start today. The new Pokemons were very excited to start their training, specially Togepi.

"Bagon, you will just watch for now and start your training after a week.", said Axel as he carried Bagon in his lap. Bagon was very heavy for a Pokemon that had just been born.

"First of all, I want all of you to focus on 2 things right now. First is to train your ability and hidden ability. The second is to train your body. You will also concentrate on your move mastery. 

Now, Togepi, you will be learning 5 new moves.

1. Charm

2. Dazzling gleam

3. Nasty Plot

4. Sunny day

5. Flamethrower.

Learn all these moves in 5 days, then you will concentrate on training all these moves."

'Stored power' was a move that would deal additional damage depending on the environment. Now, 'Charm', 'Nasty plot' and 'Wish' would increase its stats. Axel believed that if this move was mastered well, then Togepi would be very powerful. 

'Sunny day' and 'Flamethrower' was not a problem for Togepi to learn. There was Charizard to teach it. This was also a training for Charizard. It had leveled up the move to a very high level. Teaching the basics to another Pokemon would also increase its knowledge. 

Axel got the video for teaching Togepi 'Charm', 'Dazzling Gleam' and 'Nasty plot'. It was very hard to get a video for a fairy-type move but Axel got it.

Axel had told it to learn 1 move each day. He believed that it would not be so hard since it had black potential and the system would help it too. 

The first move that it was going to learn was 'Sunny day'. Axel would not be catching a fire-type Pokemon in the Johto region. So, he figured that he would teach fire-type moves to Togepi. 

The move 'Metronome' was still a mystery for Axel. He wanted to capitalize on this move but didn't know how to do it. He believed that this move had a huge potential

Coming on to Acron. Since it was a new Pokemon species, Axel had no idea what it would learn. He did ask the leader of the tribe about it and found out that Acron had a very powerful biting force. It was also very fast and was good in rock-type moves. 

"Acron, you will be learning,

1. Stone edge

2. Rock polish

3. Stealth rock

4. Hyper beam

5. Iron Tail

Just like Togepi, you will also get 5 days to learn it."

The moves were standard. 'Iron tail' was cause he wanted its tail to be stronger in the future. 'Hyper beam' was a stab move and a special type move. 'Stealth rock' and 'Stone edge' were obvious and 'Rock polish' was to increase the speed. 

Axel wanted it to learn to move like 'Agility' but he knew that it was too young to learn it right now. 'Agility' was a psychic type move and it was very hard to learn.

Totodile was going to be a physical attacker. He was sure of it. Its stats showed that it loved to attack with its muscles. 

So, it would be learning the following moves:

1. Swords dance

2. Aqua tail

3. Screech

4. Rain dance

5. Work up

6. Dig

7. Focus punch

These were a lot of moves to learn but Axel felt that it needed to learn all of these. Axel especially focused on status moves cause first they were very hard to level up and second, it would be beneficial for a Pokemon to learn status moves this early.

Finally was Slowbro. Slowbro was a king-rank Pokemon but it was not like Nidoking who had focused on a lot of moves. It had focused on a small number of moves but these moves were very high level for a wild Pokemon.
