Beedrills again, The Trio

Now it was about 5:50 PM, and it had been a while since we left the river. My Pokémon battled along the way, gaining experience and growing stronger. Kubfu reached level 8, while both Beldum and Tangela reached level 11. Beldum also successfully learned Zen Headbutt, adding a powerful move to its arsenal.

Now we were about 1 km from Pallet Town. As I moved through the grassland, I noticed some footprints on the ground, as if 2-3 people had been running. The traces in the mud piqued my curiosity, so I followed the footprints, which led me away from Pallet Town and into lush woods.

"AHHhhhh!" I heard a scream coming from the woods.

I ran towards the scream and discovered another horde of Beedrills surrounding three people—two boys and one girl—who were clearly panicking. The number of Beedrills this time was around 15, fewer than what I had fought before, and their levels ranged from 10 to 12.

I couldn't see their faces clearly as the sun was setting and the rays of sunlight dimmed in the woods. Quickly, I used my aura sensing ability to scan the surroundings for any additional potential dangers.

Finding no immediate threats, I focused on the task at hand: rescuing the three people from the horde of Beedrills.

"Let's go, team!" I shouted to my Pokémon, ready to jump into action and help those in need.

"Beldum, use Confusion, then teleport and hit the Beedrills near those three people with Zen Headbutt!" I commanded.

Beldum executed the moves perfectly, its Confusion attack disorienting the Beedrills before it teleported and struck them with a powerful Zen Headbutt.

"Tangela, use Stun Spore!" I instructed next. Tangela released a cloud of paralyzing spores into the air.

"Kubfu, focus your energy, then use Rock Smash on the Beedrills near us!" I ordered. Kubfu concentrated briefly, then launched into action, smashing the Beedrills with Rock Smash.

At the same time, I formed a psychic shield around myself and the three people to protect us from the effects of the Stun Spore.

The coordinated attack began to take effect, disorienting and paralyzing the Beedrills, giving us the upper hand in the battle.

"Great work, everyone! Tangela, use Mega Drain on the Beedrills! Kubfu, use Endure!" I shouted, issuing the next set of commands.

Tangela unleashed Mega Drain, sapping the energy from the Beedrills, weakening them further. Kubfu braced itself, ready to withstand any incoming attacks with Endure.

At the same time, I used my psychic abilities to fend off the Beedrills that were closing in on me and the three people. My psychic energy formed a barrier, pushing the Beedrills back and keeping them at bay.

With our combined efforts, the Beedrills began to falter. The tide of the battle was turning in our favor, and I could see the relief starting to wash over the faces of the three people we were rescuing.

As the battle ended, the Beedrills were scattered around us, their eyes showing dazed circles. They were defeated and immobilized, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

I took a deep breath, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. "Is everyone alright?" I called out to the three people, hoping they were unharmed.

The three people looked at me with admiration and awe. Their faces, now more visible in the dimming light, showed a mix of relief and gratitude.

"Thank you so much," one of the boys said, his voice filled with gratitude. "We didn't know what to do. You saved us."

The boy wore a light blue and white jacket over a black t-shirt, light blue jeans, and red sneakers. He had messy black hair and looked relieved to be safe.

"It's nothing," I replied, smiling reassuringly. "I'm just glad I got here in time. Are you all okay?" I said, guessing their identities based on their characteristic hair and outfits, which matched what I remembered.

The girl nodded, still looking a bit shaken. "Yes, thanks to you. That was amazing. How did you manage to handle those Beedrills so well?" she asked. She had light brown hair and bright blue eyes, wearing a pink dress with white accents and matching shoes.

I shrugged modestly. "I've had a lot of practice and great Pokémon partners. Speaking of which, are any of you hurt? Do you need any healing items?"

"Thank you very much for helping. I will definitely repay your kindness," said the boy with spiky dark brown hair, sharp blue eyes, and a navy blue vest over a white shirt, paired with blue jeans and black shoes.

The other two nodded in agreement. "We would, too," they added.

They shook their heads, still visibly impressed. "No, we're okay. Just a bit scared. Thank you again."

With the immediate danger over, I took a moment to scan the area, ensuring there were no more threats. "Alright, let's get you all back to Pallet Town safely. I'm heading there myself; it's famous in Kanto, and I might even get a chance to meet the renowned Professor Oak."

"Why were you out here so late in the evening? It's already close to night," I asked the three of them.

I received the reply from the boy with spiky dark brown hair. "It's all because of this Ashy boy," he said, pointing to one of the others. "We were fishing to see who's better nearby. As it was getting late, my sister came to remind us to head back.

"But this Ashy boy got distracted by a Butterfree that flew nearby and decided to follow it. To make sure he was safe, we followed him back. Unfortunately, he accidentally kicked a Weedle, and now we're in this mess, being chased by Beedrills," said the spiky-haired boy, frustration evident in his voice as he glanced over at the other boy.

"I'm sorry," said the boy with messy black hair. "I followed the Butterfree because it looked beautiful, and I wanted to see where it would go."

"It's okay now. Let's head to Pallet Town since it's already late," I said while treating my Pokémon with potions and berries.

After they apologized for the inconvenience they caused, we headed back to the route I came from and continued towards Pallet Town.

On the way, both boys were fawning over my Pokémon, marveling at their fighting earlier. Beldum and Kubfu, in particular, were a sight to behold since they weren't native to Kanto. Even Tangela, though relatively uncommon in the region, drew their admiration.

While the girl kept glancing at me from the corner of her eye, a blush would occasionally appear on her face. I could sense her gaze due to my aura abilities. I couldn't help but wonder to myself, Is this one of those hero-saving-the-day scenarios where the girl falls for the hero?

On the way back, they introduced themselves and mentioned that they would definitely help me meet Professor Oak.
