This was their eighth day of sailing.

The guiding sensation grew stronger.

A small island appeared on the horizon.

Hikaru's eyes lit up.

"Captain, there it is, just ahead."

Hikaru quickly addressed the boatman.

"Kid, that island has pirate flags. I'm not going any further."

The boatman, a middle-aged man and no capable Pokémon Trainer, squinted into the distance. Sure enough, a kilometer away, several boats with pirate flags were docked on the island.

"Alright, thanks for the help, Captain."

Left with no choice, Hikaru summoned Gardevoir.

"Gardevoir, please take me to the island."

As for Dilla, she was a Psychic-type herself. She didn't need Hikaru's help and easily flew over, currently playing with Manaphy through telepathic conversation.

Hikaru couldn't hear what they were saying, but the two seemed to enjoy themselves.

"Latias likes Hikaru. Latias also likes Manaphy."

"Like? Manaphy also likes Latias and Hikaru~"

Gardevoir affectionately rubbed against Hikaru's face.

Gardevoir picked up Hikaru and floated toward the island. Dilla followed, carrying Manaphy with her psychic powers.

"Hey, kid?" The boatman looked worried, sighed deeply, and resolved to report the situation. A young kid heading straight for pirates? That couldn't end well.

"Thanks for the help, Gardevoir."

Though it was pirate territory, Hikaru wasn't too concerned. Between his various attributes, buffs, and Manaphy, he felt confident in surviving.

In just eight days, Manaphy had leveled up from 34 to 39—basically gaining a level per day.

Gardevoir gracefully carried Hikaru. The island turned out to be quite large. Using Aura power to scan, Hikaru found no pirates on the ships but sensed a group of people being held captive.

Quietly sneaking aboard, he ignored the prisoners for now and followed his Aura guidance down to the ship's hold.

A dimly lit underground storage.

It seemed to be where the pirates stashed their treasure.

To Hikaru's surprise, the ship's hold contained various treasures—likely collected from the island.

Fire-type treasures like Dragonfire Fruits (10 years), Water-type treasures like Sea Flowers, and Grass-type treasures like Wood Fruits… the stash had everything but Psychic-type treasures.

"Not bad. These treasures are mine now~"

Hikaru grinned. Pirate loot? He wasn't about to say no.

After a quick tally, the treasure easily totaled millions in value.

However, when Hikaru turned around, the innocent Dilla was watching him curiously.

Hikaru had once taught her not to take things that didn't belong to her during their time at the Gym. And here he was, looting pirate treasure.

How was he supposed to explain that pirates were different from Gym Leaders?

Gardevoir's telepathy came from another ship. Each ship had even more treasure.

"Here, Hikaru." Latias also used its psychic powers to grab a pile of treasure. Latias, after all, trusted Hikaru completely.

No matter what Hikaru did, it believed it was the right thing to do.

Feeling touched by Latias's trust, Hikaru spent half an hour explaining pirates and their crimes to Dilla.

Finally, they teleported near the bound prisoners.

"Look, these people were kidnapped by the pirates."

"Mm-hmm."

Latias nodded earnestly.

"Should we save them?" Latias asked, still innocent.

Hikaru scanned with Aura. "Not yet. The pirates are coming back!"

The prisoners: "???"

You're so self-righteous, aren't you? Using us as an educational tool?

"Hey, kid! I'm the CEO of Lightwater Pharmaceutical Group. Save me, and I'll reward you handsomely!"

A middle-aged man in a suit, the image of a successful businessman, spoke up urgently.

This triggered a chain reaction.

"I'm from Lightwater City…"

"I'm…"

"Please, young man, save my Pokémon!" A woman pleaded tearfully.

Among the captives were businessmen, students, and women. Hikaru sighed, then asked:

"Can any of you sail a boat?"

The well-dressed captives fell silent.

"It's five or six days to shore. Without an experienced sailor or navigator, you'll just get lost."

Deciding not to deal with them for now, Hikaru focused on the pirates approaching.

Through his trained Aura power, Hikaru sensed the pirates a few kilometers away.

About ten pirates, dressed in blue-and-white uniforms, were dragging back their spoils.

"Let's check it out."

"Garde."

Gardevoir silently picked up Hikaru. Latias followed, and they teleported above the pirates.

"Who would've thought? A new S-rank secret realm on such a small island. That Tyranitar is a beast!"

"But those Sand Gems are worth it! We're rich this time."

The pirates bragged as they carried their loot. Around them were Pokémon like Zubat, Parasect, and Beedrill—mostly Gym-level, with two Lord-level Pokémon among them.

They had stumbled upon a secret realm while resting on the island and stole Sand Gems from a sleeping Tyranitar.

"That Parasect's Level 49. A bit tricky."

Hikaru thought for a moment.

A brilliant idea came to him—he'd steal the treasure the pirates had just stolen!
