Ch 16: The Lively Ranch
For the next couple of day's. Mike begins his farming journey.
Every day in the morning, he will visit Fluffy Ranch. In there he was able to meet, Grandpa Jacksons son, whos name was Josh and daughter in law name Mary.
The couple take care of most of the Pokémons and animals in there ranch. As Jackson, because of old age didn't work that much now. So, he left the nessary care for his ranch to his son.
Mr. Josh was a bearded man with relatively tall and muscular build. He has tan skin. He was very easy to get along with.
Josh with his wife Mary, help Mike with wool trimming practice. Mike visit there ranch regularly for this reason. After some time, about in 3 days time, Mike now able trimmed Mareep wool.
When he did it for the first time, he was not very careful. So, when he was touch the statice wool, he had a very unique hairstyles, that last for the whole day.
After some time, he now able to trimmed Mareep wool very fast, and with less time. He was now confident enough, that he will be able to trimmed his Mareeps in the ranch.
On a sunny day, Mr. Jackson granddaughter, visit his farm, to deliver chicken feed, that he ordered some time ago.
Inside the coop, Mike filled the trough with feed. The 10 Hen and rooster, drawn by the smell, eagerly gathered around and begin to eat.
"They seems to be settled in nicely!" The girl remarked, a smile on her. "Well, Mr. Mike, I will be going now. If you need anything, please contact out shop. Our contact number was 90478778."
Mike smile and said,"Ok, thanks for the delivery. Also give my thanks to, Grandpa Jacksons."
After explaining a few more details about caring for the chickens, the girl donned a hat and rode her tricycle away from the ranch.
Mike stood in the chicken coop, observeing the Hens. They are now going around, pecking away in the grass, to look for treat.
After that, he head back toward the farm field, in there he was going to plant all the seeds, that he was able to collect previously.
He then pick up his hoe and being to start working on the field. He also have his Pokemon get to work.
The Pokemon, has there own works in the ranch. Mike have Houndooms, lead there pack around the farms. They are the protectors, who scared away, any wild Pokemon that wonder into his farm.
Those wild Pokemon was also a nuisance for othe farms also. Some time wild Pokemon come disrupt the farmers. In the Pokecenter, there even tasks about fending off wild Pokemon, who some time destroy farm corps, or eat there crops.
Because of this, farmers sought help from the trainers, who will accept mission to earn extra money. Though, most of them are not very powerful Pokemon. They are in between Low to High Junior Rank. But they come with more Pokemon. This was the reason for them being a nuisance.
He has his Pidgeot, fly around the farm, it is to guard against the flying Pokemon. As his farm was connected with the Ilex forest. There are many types of flying Pokemon, that was around here. Mostly Pidgey line, with some Spearow and Taillow line.
Ursaring, Donphan and Sandslash, was used for moving mud and digging. They are able to help with Mikes farming.
Then come Golduck, who use Rain Dance to water the crop's. When this was done he then use Meganium, who has the Grassy Terrain move. This was Maximum level move. When Meganium first use it, she was able to cover most of the farm land.
With Meganium as the center, the whole place looked like a grass domain. With green spots everywhere and vest amount of Gass energy around. This help the grass around the areas begin to grow wildly. In a moment the whole area was covered with small grass and greenary.
This also get the weeds to grow faster thab normal. So, when Mike get to work, he was mostly weeding those weeds. This is also the reason he only have Meganium use this move as little as possible. Or else he would have drown his whole farm land with knee high grass.
The newly planted seeds, also seems to grow small bud's and being to grow faster and faster. It can be seen that, in few days he was able to harvest, the fruits and vegetables.
On the other hand, where he was planned the Gracidea flowers, to make a medium size garden have the most change.
The Gracidea flowers have bloomed, after experiencing the Grassy Terrain for this week.
Upon arrival, Mike was greeted by and unforgettable sight. The Gracidea flowers planted across some areas had all bloomed. Their fragrance filled the air and immense in the moment.
Reflecting on the experiences, an unprecedented sense of satisfaction enveloped Mike. The work he had to carefully nurtured those Gracidea flowers from seedlings, and now, with them in full bloom, the garden truly lived up to it's name as a garden.
He has to weed out most of the weeds that would grow more faster than other. He can't get his Pokemons help, as they are powerful and can't do the delicate work, or there was a chance that they could harm the flowers, if not careful.
This is why, even if Pokemon can do most of the farm work, he still has to do his job as a new farmer.
With this week's boring work, after witnessing, this full bloom, he now has a great sense of accomplishment for the work he done previously.
After the thrilled of the monemt, Mike begins to decide what to do with this amount of flowers. Mike then decided, to first collect the seeds from those Gracidea flowers. After that, he will sold the rest of them in the local flower shops.
It seems, he has too go to the Green wood market again. When he gets there previously, he remember seeing some flower shops around.
Previously he didn't need to know about this, but now that he has a large amount of flowers, he decided that he will ask around and see if they are willing to buy this rare flowers.
Gracidea flowers are rare, so he thinks that it will sold for more money. If the local flower shops can't buy them, then he will visit the Goldenrod city again. It was not like, it will take considerable time for him to go back and forth.
He then remember something when he was talking with Josh the other day. There was a person who brought good form the nearby ranches.
This person helped deliver products that he bought from various ranches and then sold at the Green Wood market. Mike also had this person's contact information form Josh.
Afterward, Mike called the person in charge and asked them to come to his farm also, it was to collect the products he wanted to sell. This way, he wouldn't have to visit the market every time he had something to sell.
The delivery person confirmed they would arrive at Mike's ranch in the afternoon, from now on. Mike had only remembered to make the call because, earlier that morning, his Miltank had already produced their first batch of milk.
With the points he add to there Milk Drink move. He was able to get some high quality milk. He didn't know how much will this sell for the time being. There status before and after adding points looks like this.

They are all now at Quasi Gym Rank Pokemon. He was able to upgrade them some more, but decided against it for now. He will check how much there current Milk worth.
If it was of the highest grade, then he will stop advancing them for the time being. If not, then he will help them Rank up more slowly after some time.
This way it will not rise suspicion, if he can upgrade the grades of Milk in a day or two. He will upgrade them slowly. So, in the future, his farms will have a signature product, that will be popular around the world.
