Chapter 3:The Rototiller Sandshrew
"Water Stone?"
"Lucky me!"
Natsume didn't expect that Dratini would take a dive in real life and synchronize with the game to turn into a treasure hunt.
And find a Water Stone at that.
"I guess I should let my Pokémon explore the surroundings more often."
Natsume took out his phone to check the price of a Water Stone.
The average price for a Water Stone was about one million.
The old village chief then pointed to a dried-up pond next to the stream: "This place used to raise a lot of aquatic life."
"If you want to keep raising small fish, I can help you contact a breeding farm."
Natsume looked at the pond and shook his head slightly: "I don't plan on raising ordinary aquatic creatures."
"If I were to raise anything, I'd prefer some Water-type Pokémon."
"But for now, I think it's best to clear the land first."
The old village chief chuckled: "That's true; you have to take things one step at a time."
"Well, you've seen the place; what do you think?"
Natsume looked around the environment and said, "Even though everything here needs a lot of work, I feel a sense of hope."
"So, I want to stay!"
The old village chief nodded slightly at Natsume's determination: "In that case, I won't say much more."
"It's about time; do you want me to give you a ride down the mountain?"
Natsume shook his head slightly: "I'd like to get some work done today and come back by myself in the evening."
The first task only required clearing a hundred square meters of land.
That didn't seem too difficult.
The old village chief admired Natsume: "I'll have Skiddo bring you some tools shortly."

"Dratini~"
At that moment, Dratini swam out of the water.
It called out to the old village chief as a way of expressing gratitude.

After the old village chief left, Natsume rolled up his pant legs and sat by the riverbank.
The stream water was refreshingly cool.

Natsume lay back, gazing up at the sky.

Two Pidgey chased each other overhead.
The air was filled with the scent of nature.
Natsume took a deep breath: "This world is amazing~"
"Dratini~"
Dratini nestled on Natsume's chest, comfortably resting there.
Natsume lifted Dratini up and shook it gently, laughing happily: "It really is a Dratini!"
"Dratini?"
Dratini looked at Natsume with a puzzled expression.
Natsume sat up: "Alright~"
"It's time to start working hard for our happy future!"
"Dratini~"
Dratini was filled with enthusiasm!
"Since we need to prepare for some work, the more help, the better."
"Dratini, let's go capture some companions!"
If Natsume wanted to take the path of an elite Trainer, capturing Pokémon would involve considering factors like personality compatibility, Pokémon potential, and his own finances.
But since he was becoming a farm owner, having more Pokémon is naturally better!
More importantly, capable Pokémon can do more work than ordinary humans and only require feeding.
Natsume looked around: "While I want to capture more Pokémon, for now, I need to focus on finding ones that can help me."
In the pond, the Lotad were basking leisurely in the sun.
Magikarp and Feebas were swimming slowly.
"They can't even use their hands, so they probably can't do much work. But if they knew some useful moves, that would be another story."
As Natsume was pondering this, he suddenly noticed the ground shifting outward.
A Sandshrew popped its head out.
"Sandshrew~"
The Sandshrew shook its body and wiggled its rear end as it walked over to the stream to drink water.
Natsume focused on Sandshrew's body.
Its data immediately appeared before Natsume's eyes.

Pokémon potential is categorized as Ordinary, Good, Excellent, Elite, Gym Leader, Near Champion, Champion, Master, Origin, and Godly potential.
For an ordinary person, Sandshrew's stats would already be considered excellent.
However, for Natsume, what was more important was that this Sandshrew had learned Rototiller!
"Dratini."
Natsume called Dratini forward: "Let's battle the Sandshrew in front of us."
"Dratini~"
Dratini immediately swam up and called out to Sandshrew.
Dratini challenged Sandshrew!
"Chirp chirp~"
After drinking water, Sandshrew patted its belly and turned around, its gaze becoming wary as it watched Dratini.

After checking the quest prompts, Natsume gave Dratini a direct order: "Go for it, Dratini."

"Dratini~"
Dratini opened its mouth slightly, gathering a sphere of water.
Sandshrew is a Ground-type Pokémon.
Of course, to deal with a Ground-type, you should use Water-type moves!
